This is a wekend event. Sat is the TTT section and sunday is a propper Super Sprint, none of this southern renaming of a sprint BS. All in all an excellent weekend to blow the cobwebs off, help friends get into the sport and make sure I remember how to drive. http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hrcc.org.au%2Fpdf%2F20120226%2520Approved%2520Sup%2520regs%2520TTT%2520HRCC.pdf&h=yAQGw9jCD

Yeh, Shane is a top guy to deal with. He was very helpfull getting everything organized before we left for japan. Everything went smoothly overthere, such a good trip.

Went over to Japan for a quick 10 day trip. This was initially planed for me on my own and all car stuff...... Then the missus found out I was going and wanted to come...... I got 2 days, 1 drifting at Meihan Sportsland near Osaka and a day at my mates yard on the docks in Osaka. we squiezed in Universal Studios, DysneyLand, Tokyo dome, Snow and sking out of Tokyoand sight seeing. (dont tell her, but it was all pretty good) I put this little clip together. I went drifting with K-Tours Osaka. They organized entries and the cars we hired. Was an excellent day.

Time Attack Annual Nissan Meeting
Noddy replied to MountainRunner's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Before I start, it is a fantastic event and well done to all involved. I hope it goes well for everyone and continues well into the future. A good powerful car being driven well is an awesome sight, especially at lakeside. There is almost no better place to showcase a cars true potential, Morgan Park perhaps. Big power with some awesome turns of speed now on the track extension makes Morgan even more of an all round track testing the holy trinity of performance. Power, Agility and Braking. I saw an all white V8supercar team testing out there 3 weeks ago. On the wed before Noosa hill. The buggers locked the gate on the public test day. If I want to see a big $$$$ wallet racer stretch some legs, I'll go to the drags. QR is as close as a race track can get to a drag strip, so I guess it stands to reason for its location. As for a day at QR better than a day at work, even with a feast of fantastic cars to see, Not for this Black Sheep. For the amount of extra work and grief that goes into me taking a day away from work, not even close to worth it. Sorry -

If this was at Lakeside, I'd take the day off work to do it. QR Just doesn't do it for me. -

I wake up some time later and with hand in head, mutter those famous words, "Never Again" Harry, I've had that bonnet on the car for....7 years. Never had 1 scrutiner question it. http://www.vimeo.com/26529089

Gts -T Race Car Build - Ideas For Weight Reduction

The two post wing needs a bit of strength in the lid so not yet. I am looking at getting a carbon boot using pins and a better wing. That will have to be a little further down the track, when the wallet is fatter. Thanks for the info Harry, will be giving it a go tomorrow night.... with some drinks so anything could happen! -

A lot of that stuff would be nice but, my wallet is pretty skinny. Can you ask them for the weight of the doors? Would be interesting to see. -
Gts -T Race Car Build - Ideas For Weight Reduction

This is my R33GTST, it has a cage, as little interior as possible and none of the original wiring. Most of the sound deadening is gone. The bonnet is the only FRP panel. The drivers door is the only lightend part. note there is only the brake line remaining. the 1 cut out door, I run a window net and there is normaly an unbacked black carpet trim that covers the hole. nothing much under the dash but has a dash Various cage shots`1` fuel set up, 1/2 std tank full with out me in it first weights with me in before levelling the car now for the fun to start. This is the first time I've done this so any help will be welcome, whats next???? -
