  1. http://www.skyline.se/dokument/R32_gtr_service_manual.pdf I bought my car not to long ago same issue 93 gtr. service manual is above I used this to trace the wiring and found broken wire in harness. hope this helps. I was able to see green corrosion within the harness where 2 wires were shorting and eventually broke about 5 inches from the actual clip to defrost button. hope this helps cheers.
  2. what a unit.....id have troubles selling that car lol.
  3. ive seen a lot of guys running stock crank pulley on rb26 over 500hp, as well as myself no issues. you are forsure correct though obviously cant go wrong with an expensive balancer especially if your raping it at 8000rpm all the time.
  4. I literally just went through this with my gtr. The billet gears are super easy to install. I just used my stock oil pump because of sump issues etc. I was getting all ready to have an extended nose collar machined on, to find out that I already had extended nose. 93 and later gtrs all have the extended collar already. I would definitely recommend changing the gears out on the pump as its not the power that destroys them its the rpm. and yeah extended collar forsure if you want reliability.
  5. hi mate, will this setup work on a r32 as well? bolt pattern for the manifold really all im wondering about. looks the same to me. sourcing for a friend if your willing to ship to canada
  6. REimax downpipe. would you arrange for shipping if I paid for it to Canada? may also be interested in turbos
  7. BK knows his stuff. I would definitely listen to his input. has helped me in the past quickly and efficiently.
  8. get what ever rad floats your boat wont make a difference...as far as turbo your gunna hear 25 different things. garrett has been making turbos forever cant go wrong and they come with the proper restrictior for the oil inlet. they fit nice to a 6 boost manifold. don't over think it m8. compression test the motor make sure all your fuel and ignition are ready for boost....hit the dyno. never heard a bad thing about the garrett35x series.
  9. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/1990-skyline-gtst/1490353503 here is a link to the car I cannot get more pictures or even get to the car until the 1st of next month ahhhh it is what it is! I mistyped in my older post this car is rwd. at least can get a hang for what the car is, has some weird body kit stuff going on im going to remove and then paint joker purple. probably end up making it look like a gtr a little bit with wing and front bumper etc. roof rack for the yacks n bikes she will be a fun daily!
  10. ive always fought with my attessa systems to work properly through all the different gtrs Ive had in past. buying this gts will keep k off the r and will be super fun to drive!
  11. I hear yeah brotha...im in the same boat I can barely afford my gtr I actually sold a bucket truck from my fleet to buy it. I will forsure send some pics of the gts! not doing a build thread on it but will ad the pics to this one. I like the gts rear wheel drive platform more than the gtr...ive driven a 500whp track gts it hooked like my gtr and would have killed it on a straight line too. there all just metal mate cant take em to the grave all the same to me haha...
  12. good info there I think if your not launching your car all the time you will get a descent life out of your gearbox. I run 450whp and drag on weekends, drive my car all week and have had great luck with my gearbox. curious as to why people would argue the turbo? should easily achieve the horsepower with a great power band on a gt35 no?
  13. ahh would have been a great project. gts or gtr have become super hard to find in my area. most have been neglected by younger fellows or completely over hauled and stored. if I was in your area I would have more cars and zero money haha. im currently in the transaction of another gts r32 with awd. was a similar situation I can get it for cheap with a bunch of issues. cars gunna be painted joker purple for my wife will be a wild project im sure! good luck with finding another build brotha.
  14. ya I can confirm the crank collar is an extended one I can post pics. looks to be in real nice shape I think I will reuse it. thanks again...
  15. also a good point, I know everytime ive fixed a head gasket ive ended up having to machine the head, machining exhaust ports, maybe need to replace valves etc. always has ended up costing more than expected. Could get pricey for someone who has already said their hearts not in the build. assuming a shop would be doing it at this point the profit is gone potentially.
  16. ok thanks that's good news mate! I didn't know they changed the clutch slave push/pull on this year as well...found this out last night as well when I was under there unplugging stuff...I noticed it was different then my last r32 gtr and did a quick search finding out it hasn't been changed/modified and that's how the car comes stock I guess. still learning lots!
  17. Thanks mate, you end up scooping that gts?
  18. You bet I found them on a Japanese auction used. They aren’t perfect but look not bad. I really wanted a set of volk vs-xx but way outta my budget as getting the motor and awd system on this car right broke the bank. I did have another question for you about the car. I am pulling the motor next week to do my oil pump gears and clutch. Just an opinion if you think I should go with an extended crank collar or just continue with what I have and install the remax gears. Car runs 400wkw and rarely sees over 7 thousand rpm. Cheers m8 your help has been appreciated. I do have a very good machine shop in town, my engine runs very well I just don’t wanna screw anything up and loose my engine to oil failure. I know lots of threads just want some personal opinions first from guys that know.
  19. Days like this can’t be beat! Few hours in the den with my boy! Small example of how great it is with family.
  20. This is what its all about enjoying the cars with family! I have a 2 year old as well just loves being around the gtr and learning slowly cant wait to hand it over to him someday. sell it to trel make dreams come true! wont be a huge profit either way but satisfaction of the car going to an enthusiast that is working on the car with his daughter making it there own is a feeling that cant be replaced!
  21. just my opinion through experience. I got my gtr at fair price with headgasket, awd issues, cooling issues, and misfiring issues. the body was really good so i ended up buying it, been a long slippery slope to bring it back if I didn't have the time or the shop would have costed me a fortune to fix it all. I ended up finding much enjoyment fixing the car, and not only did I learn a lot more about my car I found out just how smart some of the people on this site really are! anything can be fixed with the help of SAU!
  22. That sounds like just the type of car I like to buy! how ever the person you sold your car to probably went through quite a bit of work to get the car back up to tip top. every built can be different no saying the headgasket hasn't caused more issues. sometimes when you think your only replacing a few things, things can get out of hand and very expensive, especially if your doing a quick fix to sell and not taking proper time and money to do it right. yeah you could put some money into it and make maybe a bit more, but could get you in the hole more too! give trel a shot seems interested in the project!
  23. Ya making the car right and fixing everything could take away from any profit you could get. although if you end up fixing everything you might fall in love with the car again if it had 450kw or so! I think dumping it to "trel" or someone that can fix it might be a great idea if you can get 2-3 k for it no headaches. obviously depending on condition of body, frame being dinted from improper jacking up, etc will affect price. hopefully she finds a new home or gets fixed proper and can do her thing again someday! cheers.
  24. definitely gunna follow this thread that v12 swap would be great and unique! I don't wanna be the guy to say throw a 2j in there although I love those motors. nice to see these cars saved by people who understand and take the time to bring them back. good luck with build mate.
