  1. Yes, I got the led’s made and installed by myself.
  2. Cool wee trip to the Gunma toy museum for some initial’D goodness! + take a shot in front of the tofu shop replica. Japan is an interesting country in so many ways.
  3. Yeah, it’s a mid term thing, maybe staying a few more years to finish the car while I’m at it here. I did kinda beat the crazy rise tho which I’m stoked about. I love how the exterior worked out, and changed the yellowish parking lights to LED as well. next will be a complete chassis refresh to make it better than factory + finishing off with Omori factory F-sport engine or the new R3 engine due release next year.
  4. Finally got the Nismo fenders, rear fender covers, custom headlights done. LED’d the whole interior and other bits too while at it.
  5. Nearly done now, I decided to replace the headlight stays while the parts were still available. It seems that the fitment for the fenders are good now
  6. Nope, my car is from global auto
  7. From here, it’ll be a wee wait for the bonnet (~1 year). After talking with the Omori factory guys, I might go for one of their Fine-spec engines fused with some of my current S1 parts and upgrade to the new Nismo R3 turbo. when this starts happening, I’ll post additional updates about the process
  8. Z-tune fender install, I wanted rust prevention to protect the frame at the time of install and paint the inner parts matt black.
  9. Hi guys and gals, I have posted on the forum before regarding the value of R34’s before but decided to start a new thread with my journey and plans for my dream car. I am currently living in Japan and will post about great driving roads and road trips here as well so some of you who wish to travel have an idea about where to go etc. I purchased and received my car near Christmas 2019 and so far doing minor interior and exterior upgrades. It’s a 99 V-Spec in bayside blue with 33k genuine km’s and the Engine is a S1 from Omori factory giving it a nice street feel. I wanted to leave a record of the things I’ve done to my ride and will update from time to time with pics. So far I’ve done interior upgrades such as LED’ing most interior lighting such as the aircon console and room lights, V-Spec2 pedals, Nismo seat covers, on the exterior, it’s getting the Nismo Z-tune fenders and rear fender covers, R-tune bonnet which I am waiting to receive (back order) Custom headlights + tail lights.
  10. It’s been a busy few weeks, Driving light LED upgrade is done, and the Z-tune fenders are now being fitted, dunno why but it doesn’t match up quite right…. damn FRP… more micro adjustments will be needed 🤔 thought the nismo ones will fit right in but no… anyone having the same issues with the Z-tune fenders, please let me know your experiences and how you got it on nicely. I’ve also purchased the R-tune bonnet from Omori Factory as well but it’ll take about a year so will just have to wait on that for now until it’s installed by them.
  11. Sure, if I could I would rather be away from the metro too tbh. you live in the nicer part of Japan
  12. Hi Hashiriya, Thanks man~ I’m currently in Kanagawa and you? We might meet someday in Daikoku someday
  13. Guess it’s not for everyone, don’t care as long as I enjoy it right? Lol
  14. These Z-tune fenders were really hard to come by as I wanted genuine, looks good though, can’t wait to put them on but waiting to choose the right bonnet so I can get it painted together.
  15. Not sure about water channels, there’s nothing on the description about it that I can find
  16. Hi guys, Long time no post, hope everyone is going through covid ok still enjoying their rides. I have done some few very minor mods to share and have a quick question regarding some future mods I will be doing and would really like your opinions. 1. First my aircon panel seemed a bit dim so I DIY’d it with LED which was a fun exercise. 2. Second, I am waiting for my sexy custom headlights being made up. 3. Next in the list will be the tail light upgrade. https://www.qestjapan.co.jp/phone/product/382 4. I purchased the genuine Nismo Z-tune fenders which were quite hard to come by even in Japan and will install once I choose the right bonnet upgrade. ***Question**** Im trying to choose between a genuine V-spec2 carbon hood (the one with the single Naca duct) or the Nismo R-tune bonnet as my car already has the Nismo R-tune air cleaner duct that the previous owner installed already. But not sure which one to get especially If the R-tune bonnet with be a pain in the a*** to keep water out during a carwash, does anyone know if this bonnet can keep water out? The official description on the website says that it can stop rain but now sure how to even attempt to clean it without getting a lot of water in the engine bay. please let me know your thoughts / opinions and information about the bonnets so I can choose between the two. Look forward to your opinions!
  17. i see, thanks for the input. I will have to check it out over time
  18. I have a quick question for someone who might know, I upgraded my ride from the 32 GTR which i thought and imagined to have more interior rattles because it is older than the 34. To my surprise, the 34 seems a lot more noisier compared to the 32, maybe Nissan’s way of cutting cost happened mostly on the interior design and parts? Would you agree? one specific noice that is starting to annoy me comes somewhere in the left hand side around the left dash area, if the road is even a little bit bumpy, seems to make a plastic tapping noise, I ripped out the glovebox to see if there was anything loose but couldn’t find anything out of place so I asked a mate who seems to have the same noise in the same place and he was told that that is where the abs unit sits and that is the cause of the noise, do you guys think this is true?
  19. Installed some new goodies today, New pedal set, thought the Vspec2 ones look good and the rubber ones on mine looked a bit dull. After 2 hours...what an absolute pain in the a** it was to get the clutch pedal on... oh my god... final result looks great though, sorry for the Dark pics, Merry Christmas!
