  1. u think u will settle but u wont, it would be a nice feeling to add a turbo to a n/a car that u been driving for a while i would imagine congrats
  2. as immature etc as everyone says hooning is, and it is, its also cheap fun and available as soon as u get ur car, and when u turn 17 car+freedom+fun on the cheap is always gonna have every sickflamin mongrel in town kicking it at kk's on saturday nite whats wrong with being 18 and going down to eat donuts and watch nice cars go by with ur freinds. what this idiot government doesnt realise there isnt a whole fkn lot to do in this country when u are 17-20 something especially if ur not $$ it in. at the end of the week all i wanna do is drive my car and im sure most of u on here would agree u would like to spend ample time driving ur cars thats why ur on a skyline forum on the net.. hooning has been a problem as long as cars have been around check out the killer race in grease even and as time goes on cars get faster more advanced and cheaper in the year i was born 1983 somebody who was 20 then wouldnt dream of owning a 200rwkw skyline, but now its a reality and normal for p platers to have such cars. i think all the import owners these days look to japan for cars parts style drift the whole Keiichi Tsuchiya phase. maybe our government should do the same and have a look how japan is dealing with the situation.
  3. i learned a harsh internet purchasing lesson off that prick, be careful !
  4. alex kantarovski is a straight scumbag, he has ripped many ppl i know he fkn got me a good one. i hope that guy gets everything coming to him, houghy u should have broken his face for the turbo not given him 1k
  5. oh what is this alex kantarovski whinging about being ripped off ? f**k u alex i hope he gets $75 and ur soul dodgy prick!
  6. u cant engineer a boost controller anyway.
  7. what colour is it
  8. the engineers cert is for the whole vehicle, and theoretically if theres something on there that doesnt comply u have to change it to get one, a lame example would be pod, u cant get an engineers cert with a open pod, so u go stock or enclose the pod or no certificate, also once u have it, if u change something and the certificate needs to be updated they will charge you to change it. thats how it works for me anyway. also theres things they cant/wont engineer if u change the computer boost controller etc. these are generally overlooked though because police cant spot them. but really if u have a boost controller they shouldnt give u a cert.
  9. how much for water temp, oil temp, oil pressure in this style
  10. is that $120 for 1 coil pack ?
  11. where are u located.
  12. i got a r32 and i was driving along and my dashlight went out, so i cant see my instrument cluster at nite, i also found out later on that my parkers and brake lights went too. so i replaced all the fuses and the only thing i got back was the brake lights. and now i need help
  13. do they fit rb20 ?
  14. yeah u dont need the clutch. drive a shitter around for a while and practise it without the clutch, like nismoid says once u learn to match the revs its sweet as, wouldnt recommend taking off that way, but once ur going nothing wrong with it
  15. but yeah rb20s dont put on much of a show off boost so be very careful not to get something too big, had a t04e on mine for a while, was good once u were boost about 4900 5000 real good, but sucked until then no fun on the street.
  16. have a good close look at a gcg highflow (rb25), they are really awesome turbos ive got one on my rb20 its fantastic .
  17. if they worked in a rb20 i would have em for $590
  18. when the 32 gtr came out it made the cover of wheels in 89 so dont worry too much about it guys
  19. u say try it for urself, i tried the ebay turbo avenue myself, the turbo i got didnt last longer than 2 minutes.
  20. yeah my gcg highflow is awesome definately a very good option for turbo upgrade but yeah a healthy turbo comp wheel wont have shavings like that on it dude they would have happened when ur turbo failed or sometime not long before it. if u opened up the turbo i sent you it wouldnt need to be cleaned up anyway, well i hope it wouldnt ive never opened it ur like me though, patient and will fiddle around with stuff
  21. the last thing in my mind when buying my 32 was will i lose money on it, i had always planned to spend on it either way i bought it cause i love it not cause it was financially gentle. that said though i did look around and get a very nice one and the thing has been very reliable and only needed general maintainance in the 2 and a half years ive had it which is nice for a car 16 yrs old.
  22. ive had a nismo one looks like that for about 3 months now, drive it daily the thing has been beautiful bought it from a good trusted shop.
  23. guys isnt the flutter the sound the air going back and forth between the throttle body as it snaps shut off throttle and the turbo, and the sound is heard once u get a pod, stock intake u cant hear it. there is bovs that also make that noise or similar noises but they arent compressor surge they are just noise the bov makes instead of compressor surge hence the reason of getting a bov. most cars with aftermarket bovs will have to set how lose or tight they are, if they are too tight u will get compressor surge, too lose and u could leak boost depending on the bov and the boost level. generally to get it right u need to find a setting somewhere inbetween where on low psi u get the flutter because its not enough pressure to open the bov generally below 7psi or so and that on higher boost over 10psi etc the bov opens and no compressor surge, no back pressure on the turbo it keeps velocity and u dont lag as much between gear changes. i could be wrong but i dont think i am, would like to be corrected if am.
