Never had flat battery Can hear fuel pump whirring......but nothing

Don't think it's battery Connected another wiring harness to ouside and car started - changed back and didn't start again. Will check the wiring properly and maybe clean air flow meter as well?

Engine trying to turn over but won't start Have checked fuel pump and changed fuel filter twice Any hints please?
