heya, thinking of selling my r33 gtst so i can downgrade to a cheaper import. thinking of geting a car that is a: easier to insure B: more suitable for drift. so basiacally i am selling my skyline or perhaps wiling to swap plus cash adjustment for either a ceffy/laurel (must be manual) or a sr powered s13. price is $21, 000 car: 1995 gtst, 'm' spec, rb25, 5 speed, white. car has 67xxxkms on the clock and is in imaculate condition! 3 way sunroof bomex front bar, m spec side skirts, rear bar, rear pods, spoiler etc. mods: ohlins(*spelling) height and damper adjustable coil overs 3" dump, high flow cat and hks superdrageer cat back sytem hybrid front mount with hks piping kit 17" black 'work' rims brand new splitfire coil packs turbo smart single stage 'gated' boost controller apexi air flow corrector apexi boost gauge turbo time momo steering wheel custom cold air intake with brand new k&n filter very dark tinted windows strut brace remote alarm with imobiliser and keyless central jvc double din head unit, alpine 6" fronts, alpine 6", rockford forsgate 12" sub and amp boost is set at std and 9 psi never been boosted past that. car is faultless to drive and runs really well, would be sold with RWC and rego. pics upon request. feel free to post up any question you may have of the car. cheers, matty.

so theroetically, with the right tuning and support components (fmic, zorst, boost controller etc) it should make somewere around 300 rwhp???

thanx for the reply's guys so from what i can gather, as long as it is a decent band oil (motul, penrite, mobil 1, etc) and i stick around the 10w40ish mark it should be fine, true?

heya, being a n00b to imports i have to ask this rahter simple question.... my r33 is up for its 5000km oil and filter change and i am wondering what is the best oil to use? it currently uses motul. i have heard heaps of ppl using motul oil and praising it so i was planning on using it again. but i dont know which type/code of motul oil is best to use? can some one please help me out with this, cause the last thing i want to be doin is putting some crapy oil in my motor. if anyone has any other brands/types of oil they reccomend using please feel free to post away. cheers! matty.

any updates fatz? have you got your cam gears in? wound the boost up any more? ...or hav you jus stuck to what you have got and be happy with it ?

heya, this may be a dumb question but, las nite was the firstd time i took my r33 for a decent trip. now when highway driving my HICAS light came on and wouldnt go out until i had turned the car off and started again. is this surposed to happen? if so what the heck does it mean? cheers! matty

when you say 'three settings' i am a bit lost. from what i can tell, you can install then above or below your subframe to alter the angle it sits, ie: squat or poise. so how do you position them to achive the std setting? cheers!

DRFTR33, so when you removed your wing it didn take any paint up with it? you are only left with four holes right? not to concerned with wrecking any of the plastic fasteners as the only wing that goes back on will be a stealth wing...if i can ever find one at a decent price

yeah but if you plug the small hole inside the std BOV, then doesnt that stop the boost leak at idle?

not to sure on how good they are, but a mate of mine had on on his 32 and he was pretty impressed with it.

heya, i was jus in the process of re-fitting my std BOV to my R33 GTST. looking at the design and function of the std BOV i found myself pondering this question.... as a cheap alternative to buying a aftermarket BOV for that fulli sick thorpey style 'phhhhsssst' sound, would you be able to successfully use your std BOV? now if you turn the BOV around the other way on the mounting point (yes it bolts the other way, i checked) so that the plumback piece is now pointing upward. and use a slightly longer piece of hose and reconnect the vacume line to it. then block off the pipe that returns to the inlet of the turbo. would the std BOV still function correctly, except instead of venting back into the intake, it would vent atmo instead? now if this is possible and it works, how come very few, if any skyline (or other vechiles with the same std BOV setup) owners dont use this idea instead of parting with $300 odd dollars for a *brand* BOV? the other thing i was wondering was maybe the std BOV makes a shit sound when vented atmo and that is why no one does this modification? when i get my cooler pipes back on i might turn the std BOV around jus to see what sort of sound it makes and how/if it works.... feel free to correct or answer any of the above questions or theorys... cheers!

heya, tried to remove the spoiler of my r33 the other day but ran into problems so i decided to stop before i f*#ked somthing. so just wondering the best way to remove the spoiler from a r33 without ***ing paint, bonnet or spoiler. i undid the four bolts (well that all i could find, dont know if there is any more?) that attach the spoiler and unclipped the brake light wire. but with all these bolts undone it would not budge. i didnt force it to hard because i am not sure if it is atrtached with some sikaflex or somehting and i didnt wan to take any paint up with it. can anyone shed some light into the best way to remove without f#&king anyhting...???? cheers! matty
