wow thats some series respect!!! did u upgrade the suspension for the heavy front end??? also wat turbo are u using?":? i still got all the hicas junk under my GTR i just locked it up with a lock bar
-
i would much rather have a bigger turbo keeping in mind that nitrous doesnt last for ever also i would much rather be pulled over and have a bigger turbo then a nitrous bottle in my boot
-
i was gonna say!! where the hell did u find room for it i tried doing that kinda setup in my R32 GTR and i couldnt find any room wat so ever under the car to do some thing like that RB30 in a silvia??? dam!! any more details on the caR???

on my 180 i started of with a power fc D jetro but i did start running into problems with it later on down the track when the car became more of a race type car the problem i had with the power fc was that it wasnt able to control external parts such as nitrous, ignition system such as MSD, 2nd set of injectors, launch control (it had one built in but didnt wanna use the built in launch control in the power fc because i had to plug a laptop in to use it every time) and my main problem was the power fc could only hold 1 map every time i wanted to run race fuel i had to plug a laptop into the power fc and load in another map from the laptop the power fc was great when all i needed was an ECU that could control the engine but once u start throwing in more and more stuff the power fc isnt able to control them because of this i ended up removing the D jetro and upgrading it for a haltech E11v2 my car runs on 2 different fuel types standard fuel tank is for pump gas and my fuel cell is for race fuel engine has 2 different set of injectors per cylinder 800cc injectors used for pump gas and 1000cc injectors used for race fuel i can now switch between 2 different tunes via a switch inside the car and swap between different map's for each type of fuel i neva intended on going this far with the car which is why i bought the power fc D jetro its a GREAT ecu if ur looking for a ECU to control the engine my R32 on the other hand is my daily driver which is why i went with a D jetro i was happy with how the D jetro perform on the 180 so i knew wat ecu i wanted for the GTR the only problem ive eva run into with a normal power fc and Z32 afm was on my mates 180sx air would push back out the other way of the intake pipe and back out the afm low down in the rpm range so every time u took of the car would have this little ruff take of wat he had to do was put another bed in the intake pipe but it wasnt as eazy as that because there was no room for a bend in the piping so all he does now is give it abit more rev's when taking of other then that there was no other problem with the afm version power fc all up i would recommend the power fc if u want is a ECU which can just basically take car of the engine

wat car is that ?

Rb25det Max Rwkw With Stock Bottom End?
STR8E180 replied to GTRsean's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
ive seen any where over 350rwkw with the standard RB25 bottom end but i would expect to lasting very long 300rwkw is alot more reliable -
i personally dont care if twins would be more responsive the car is my daily so i wasnt to fuss with trying to get max responsive i went with the single turbo conversion because it was alot more eazy and it also makes it more eazy to work on im happy with the response it makes as it is so i wont be changing it if i was building a full track car i would of went with twin GT2560 with custom steam pipe manifolds with twin TiAL 38mm gates i also would of spent more money on the cylinder head with a bigger lift cam and port work but like i said the car is my daily so i didnt see any point spending bucket loads of cash
-
them rims would look so much beter if it had beta off set so the wheels stick out abit more car still looks hot tho
-
yeah its not a standard housing option for the GT35 its a modified garrett exhaust housing taken from some other turbo machined to suit the GT35 the compressor housing has the anti surge slot machined in as well all turbo work was done my ATPturbo.com im pretty happy with the result ive got so far just need to fix the ignition problem
-
its all good for the amount of boost im running im very happy with the amount of power its making
-
here is a dyno sheet for torque powertune
-
yeah its a perfect daily cant believe how responsive it is feels alot more responsive then when it was all standard ill post up the new dyno results once i have upgraded the ignition system, im just abit broke to do it right now
-
like i said B4 we had into problems with miss firing due to ignition problems i dont plan on running a set amount of boost im just gonna upgrade the ignition system and hand the car back over to my tuner basically just told him keep tunning untill u run into problems (which is wat he did), once it starts pinging, knocking and all that sort of stuff pretty much just back it off so its safe to drive around and i repeat.... we ran into ignition problems which was y i wasnt able to run any more then 16psi compressor housing is a A/R 70 with anti surge
-
thats not a garrett its a cheapo turbo and there is no way its going to last long on 30psi

engine mods which have been done are HKS step1 camshafts 264/264 HKS adjustable camgears HKS inlet manifold gasket Gates timing belt custom stainless billet CNC machined oil pump R33 RB26 crank shaft external oil return lines from cylinder head to sump Garrett GT35R Ball Bearing turbo with .78 divided exhaust housing TiAL 44mm external wastegate screamer pipe custom twin scroll steampipe Manifold custom dump pipe + front pipe hi flow 3inch cat X force cat back exhaust system 115mm intercooler custom aluminum intercooler piping custom intake pipe custom air box greddy blow of valve custom catch can aluminum radiator SARD fuel reg SARD 800cc injectors Bosch 023 fuel pump Power FC D jetro HKS triple plate clutch 316kw @ 16psi had some problems with the ignition system causing the engine to miss fire so we were unable to run any more boost tuner reckons there is abit more power to be made once the ignition system gets upgrade let me know wat u think

i think it sounds about right
