  2. Ive been reading about the Tomei cams speacially for the VVT, anyone got any thoughts on them? Nice on the psitons though, in the UK there doesnt seem to be the same choice Paul
  3. Folks, Ive just got my GTS back from its first peice of open bonnet surgery this year and its popping out a respectable 334BHP (@ 1.1 bar) at the wheels. So ive changed pretty much all of the bolt on bits and peices so now its down to some of the bigger bits. There seems to be a much bigger GTS scene out here so I am keen to find out what cams you use / reccomend and pistons / rods? too. basically where do i go from here? Paul

Ronin, Mine was slipping and so i am having it replaced it with a R33 clutch plate with an R32GTR pressure plate, a good combination for 400+ bhp or so i am reliably informed and cost remarkably little. The car when i pick it up in January will be around 350bhp at the wheels and the clutch shoud be well up for it and more Will find out on the 10th Jan:) Paul
  5. whistling can also be caused by broken manifold studs, its not that unusual for the outside ones an the 33 GTSt to break due to expansion and contraction. The whistling is loss of boost pressure. Its not the end of the world to fit just involves loads of labour to stip everything out they way to get at it (you dont even need to take the head off) Best advice is to take it to a specialist though Paul

  7. Mine currently has filter, exhaust, decat etc and an fcon V. it pops out a sneak over 300bhp @ .78 bar (flywheel, but im not sure how to equate that to yours) with the injectors at 90%. It has a hybrid needle roller turbo from turbodynamics but i cant raise the bost pressure enough for that to have any real effect over the standard one yet Jan 4th its booked in for a HKS fuel pump, Tomei injectors, HKS FMIC, HKS Steel head gasket and boost controller should make a bit of a difference once the boost is cranked up a bit, shall have to wait and see. Must admit the cost has sort of put me off doing too much more though unless i can pick up a RB26 engine with some trick internals at a sensible price It does put a smile on my face though any increase in power is directly equated to increase in size and duration of smile Paul
