  1. Would look nicer raised a bit.. :S
  2. I'd like to come but the Cefiro is out of rego :S Oh well, decided she is too nice to drift so giving it to the missus and have another one on it's way from Japan
  3. Hey all - anyone want a 'discounted' place PM me ASAP - I'm paid up but can't get there. Make me an offer and you can take my place.. Save enough for a set of Fatz Special Tyres..
  4. I'd consider taking the Camry :S It's maybe not drifting but it's still sliding once the water truck is out
  5. Hey all, I was gonna be heading to Oran Park for a skid pan day tomorrow but have been sick all week and am not expecting to make it. Registration cost me $100 but anyone who wants a full day of drifting for just $80 - PM me. Here for more details: http://www.initialdrift.com.au/forums/view...opic.php?t=2672 PS - only thing is you may need to give the extra $10 to Pete if you're not a SAU or IDA member. Hopefully one of you can make use of this! Dan
  6. Hmm, sounds like a common issue. I bought my Cef in QLD and sat on the speed limit all the way back to ACT and had some very abusive trucks behind me :S Haven't got around to comparing speeds to my Camry but feels about 10kms out at 70, 15 at 100 etc.. :S
  7. Hmm, Drift + OH&S == nightmare, I imagine :S Went for a quick lap around Jerra in the Ceffy on Sat Night. Is it the Club Hotel or something? Near Woolies, etc at first big roundabout?
  8. I was talking with the guys at Mobil Golburn after the wakefield event last week. Seems like Mobil are saying no to releasing Synergy in "country" areas. The guy at the Mobil said - never mind, we're looking at sourcing it from America directly - with wakefield here, we need the stuff to survive. Wonder what this means for Canberra, are we really country hicks?? Might have to talk to the Erindale Mobil guys - as my closet servo I'd love to get Synergy 8000 there :S
  9. Damn, would have taken it to. Trying to get imports over the pits here sounds painful :S
  10. I wouldn't have talked to you for so long if I knew that :S
  11. I'm glad my aircon hasn't been regassed since coming into Aus.... Windows down == hardly noticable speed alert. BTW - RiverSide - silver auto 89 Ceffy ~80k kms - guy I bought it off thinks you imported it - let me know if you have any info on her
  12. Yesterday spotted a silver 34?? at Erindale Video Ezy. Would love to know what model it was - looked v. nice Edit: Oh - about 6.30pm that was I think.
  13. Was in Port last Saturday - had a Silver Ceffy with QLD plates. Had lots of 32/33 guys checking out the car. Seemed quite a big car scene there!
  14. Yah, was behind but when saw him cornering think there were yellow flames (or similar) from around the front wheel arches.. Know it?
  15. Erindale was the place to be at lunchtime today. Saw a grey 4 door getting Kingsleys. A black GTR entered just as I was leaving - then saw a Black GTST (I think) with red around the wheels on McBryde turning off towards Erindale Dr. They all looked like R32s to me but couldn't be sure.
  16. The wife's bday is on the 11th - so I can normally kill 2 birds with one stone (In this case - diamonds being the stone.. that and we flew up to Qld on the 11th to buy the Ceffy so spent the weekend together doing the road trip back. Bargain )
  17. Travelling home from Syd the other week I stopped in at Mobil on the freeway. Noticed they had Synergy 6000 and Synergy 8000. Asked them about the difference and they said they didn't know, they'd only recently got it. 96 and 98 perhaps? Anyone know?
  18. Wow. Beginners luck I guess if I had a silver line I'd think about doing it too
  19. Not so good with telling my lines apart yet - but think it was a 33 silver heading towards Erindale dr. on Sternburg this eve. Had blue graphics down the sides and looked kinda "2f2f"ish..
  20. Glad she was found - good work guys My brother had his car stolen during the fires 2?? years ago now. Everything he owned in it. $$ drum kit, $$ kingchrome tools, $$ power tools, snowboard etc. Cops pulled the guy up while he was driving the car but didn't put him away for this - and didn't inform my brother that the car had been found either. Thanks to the radio stations we got the car back!! (Drum kit was later recovered 3rd hand when a friend discovered the location and tipped the cops off. At least they helped out in the end I guess :S)
  21. I agree the radio stations may be the way to go.. Perhaps one of the local clubs (Vikings for example) - I would expect as not for profit organisations these clubs would be looking to sponsor things in the community throughout the year?
  22. Yes, I'd read that also - and that there were converters avail.. (BTW - anyone got any 33 boxes just sitting in their garage looking to clear out space ?? - Hmm, guess I better keep my eye out in the parts for sale section!)
  23. Hey guys, Just about to pick up an auto Ceffy and one of the top things on the list is the conversion. I figured it may be worth spending a little more initially to get a box that is going to take more of a pounding. Has anyone done this, and is it much more involved than the standard RB20 gearbox swap? What other parts are needed from the R33? Cheers guys ! Dan
