I changed filter as I had brand new one laying around, nothing changed :(. It’s a stock 25de so I will probably go stock pump

Very funny. Full tank yesterday. I removed the hose that goes to the fuel rails and turned it over only to find no fuel at all.

I tried to start my car this morning and it took a little more encouragement than usual how ever it ran, for about 15 seconds before cutting out and stalling. My fuel pump made a louder then usual hum and when trying to start it again made no noise whatsoever ever. I left it for a couple of hours and came back to find it starts, wants to stall when giving no throttle and cuts out when giving it throttle and the fuel pump seems a lot louder now. Is this the fuel pump dying or is it something else?

Looking for alarm and immobiliser suggestions

I found Viper 3105VR. Is this a safe option? It seems to have everything thing I want and some however would it being on the cheaper side reduce the quality of its anti theft? -

Id rather not say especially after openly saying my car has not anti theft system what so ever but Australia if that helps -
Hi, I’m looking for alarm and immobiliser suggestions for my r33 preferably with central locking as my car doesn’t have that rn. And also would the installation process be easy enough for a beginner like me? Or would it be strongly advised to go to an auto electrician to do it. Thanks

Yes I agree it’s not the best way but I have spent too long trying to fix this with little tools I have. It was a last resort. But I also want to thank you for your help with both problems I have posted here, I really appreciate it -

Yes it was done on purpose -
My relay was playing up so I bought a new one. And it solved most of the issue. Some wires where loose and also added to the problem.

Auto gearbox reverse light switch (r33)

This is why my fuses kept blowing. I ended up putting a bigger fuse in and ran it until something started smoking, And well the dash is the last place I expected. I replaced the part as I was lucky enough to have a second one laying around. Everything works fine now. -

Like as in it’s inside the car? Not under or screwed in the side of the trans? -

I still can’t find this stupid reverse switch. I did also find out it has 5 gears which makes it a Re5R01a, not sure if that makes a difference in the location or not but there is very limited info on this so I might just end up taking it to a professional seeing as how retarted I am -

The fourth one for me shows a guy wanting to connect the wires from an auto box look to a manual box. Is the plug in a different location on the automatic transmission and is the trans the same on the r33 as the r32? If that’s not the right one could you link me the one you are talking about? -

Previous owner did a trans swap because it was bad so I’m assuming/hoping it blew from the old one. As for searching on here I can only find things relating to people doing auto to manual swaps and having trouble with wiring. All I really want is just to know where the location of the switch is so I can test it. -
My reverse lights don’t work. There was only one fuse blown in the car and it was a/t control fuse what ever that is but I replaced it Incase it had something to do with it and they still don’t work. i then checked the globes and they look fine, just a bit of rust in the plug the globe sits in. I then checked to see if power was getting to the connector in the boot and still nothing. So I believe it’s the reverse light switch, however I can’t find it. Is it on the side of the gearbox or is it built into the auto selector? Can anyone guide me in the right direction please. thanks

I took apart the switch and the plastic was very brittle so it sort of just fell to pieces. I cleaned it all up and priced it back together the best I could and will test it tommorow. If it doesn’t work I will just give up and buy a new one
-
Didn’t realise I could take that apart thanks
-
Yes, I can’t see anything wrong with it but I am not experienced in this sort of stuff so I can’t say for sure that it’s fine
-
I have checked the switch and I can’t see any bad solders, just some glue like stuff. Would it still be possible that it’s the switch even the though when activating the button it sends power to the motor? upon further inspection I have discovered that power is constantly going through one the wires while the other one only get power when I activate the button
-
Probably would of helped if I had stated the model lol. It’s a r33 gts

My drivers side window hasn’t worked properly ever since buying the car 2 weeks ago. On the first day I managed to get it working for an hour just by whacking the door, after that it hasn’t worked. I originally thought it was the motor as the relay clicked when operating the buttons however when directly connecting a battery to the motor it works just fine. when turning the car on ( if window is in the up position) it will automatically retract all the way down. The switch is a bit dodgy as when pushing the button down it doesn’t do the clicky thing, but if doesn’t effect the way the window operates I am fine with leaving it how it is. I am out of ideas and am just wanting to ask before I go buying new parts that might not need replacing. Anyone got any ideas?
