  1. Oh...ok. I know that the smaller one that came with 20/25 N/A NEO can last many km or can blow like in few meters...so i rather have new/spare one 🙂 But that again even if i want to the + T i do not need "crazy" (200Bhp would be fine for me for the start). Thanks for the FB group. Of course i will not be doing the +T myself(i cant do anything on a car but i just gathering info. I think the most "problematic" thing would be to get all the parts...and of course know what exact parts i need 😄
  2. Hi. Thanks for the answer. I do not have instagram 😄 I too considering turbo the RB20DE NEO 🙂 But i think i upgrade the gearbox first or at least buy new.
  3. Hi. a little later but if the topic is here. So...the exhaust is the same and you can use 25/Turbo or any aftermarket? What about intake side? Is it too "plug n play" or? (i do not remember for 100% but i think that one intake to head gasket was little bit different than on the RB25 - i bought gasket kit way back) I know that even if it "plug" those butterfly swirls would cause ECU to be confused or? Just asking for the info 🙂 and of course the RB25 things are easier to come by
  4. Hi. Yeah i think that DIS-008 should be ok too but i rather asked. The R8 coils are "sadly" no go for me cuz every solution is for forward plenum. The coils are too tall and one of the(4/5 DK) would not fit under stock J-pipe. And being this NA RB20 i dont even know where to get some forward plenum.(and of course i would need other stuff like custom AFM/ECU etc) and that is kinda non sense for NA without boost. I just looking for solutions for my case 🙂 I try look into those Yaris/Corolla ones.
  5. Hi. Which coilpacks can i use in my engine? I looked at the Splitfire but the closest "match" i found was SP-DIS-008 but even that they do not show RB20DE NEO so iam not 100% sure. Or maybe different one which will 100% work? I saw many on ebay but they are some cheap "strange" ones. What about Yellow Jackets? Many thanks 🙂
  6. EDIT: just to ask...is it plug n play or do i need some "adapter" or something behind the wheel? EDIT2: i found this...is it the same wheel? It looks like it. Of course it is a GT-R but it seems like and plug n play and using the stock plastic cover?

  8. Hi. Can this steering wheel https://trust-kikaku.myshopify.com/products/875111001 fit on my car (R34 GT) It has OEM GT/T wheel (no auto - factory manual) Of course the center with the airbag would be from that stock wheel. Thanks :-)

  10. Hi. Thanks for the info. I have stock ECU so no "easy" 2DIN radio? @Rezz: tak Apexi DIN3 would work with stock ECU/car? As i said i dont even listen to music in this car so this would be nice.
  11. Hi. In these days i finally get to the interior. Bought some new parts to change and now iam at the radio unit. It is some old carrozzeria unit. Is there any unit to fit to the R34 which can show me some info about the car like oil/coolent temperature etc? I just want cuz of this. If it cant i try to find OEM cuz i dont even listen to music :-)
  12. I meant to stay at factory settings Any plus power from my engine would be huge. BUT it is not happening cuz i talk to the guy and the shipping alone would be around 3500-4500 USD ...which is sadly a no no... But at least i asked. So thank you for all the info. Another thing i looked into is/was +T to the that engine but IMO it is harder to get right i would be scared to blow up the engine.
  13. Ok so with new trans i need GTT/trans propshaft. With that RB20DE NEO trans..i know it depends on condition but can i at least drive with it? I do not mean trash it... just to drive it around/to shop/garage. I know some people have same trans on RB25DET and make on it 10k+ km ...but some of them blow it after couple of km Iam talking part/compability wise. Apart from that...is there anything else i maybe looking to get/need?
  14. I ask them...of course how much would be the shipping too :-) I know i can ask them...i just ask here if by the description on their website is everything there for the swap. I know some major parts etc but iam not mechanic...so maybe someone who is far more experienced would see and say...oh yeah you will need this too and this will not work...this type of stuff :-) I just gathering as much info i can get. @GTSBoy: i cannot? It is good to know...i saw on the other forums that they use shafts and gearbox from RB20DE (i think the RB25DE has the same "weak" trans?) LSD i would get here...some folks have this from theirs GTTs... Yeah i already typed few people around here if they have/can get GTT trans :-)
  15. Hi. Thank you for the answer. No i will not do it myself. My mechanic is very capable IMO but problem are parts. I need to order everything from abroad specialy from JAP/AUD/NZ cuz we do not have anything here. The "hard" part is for the parts...is this engine iam looking for has "everything" i need for the swap or are there any parts i would need? I know factory air box is missing but i have HKS air filter and some of the old DE air box would fit in. I know that intercooler is missing too but that is aftermarket stuff and that should be easy to get even in here. As for the money on gearbox...i do but i do not at the same time. I want to have some money on the side cuz i know something will go bad or need to replace. Iam seeing this as project for many month/year+ so no need to rush. As i was saying iam only looking into this cuz this particular engine. I know the 3G Spares have reliable parts. Other engines i saw are mostly (like 99%) AWD engines with "no" history and ton of parts missing.
  16. Hi. After a 4 long/short years i wanna ask. It looks clean and in very good condition How hard would it be to swap instead of RB20DE NEO(factory 5spd manual) I know the gearbox is weak but it should just plug n play for a while no? I have better fuel pump(mine went bad) and brakes are from GTT. Iam just asking around to gather info. Only considering this cuz i know these guys and this engine IMO is completed package for swap. Thanks :)
  17. Hi. Long time. I did not drive this car to much. But problem is still there. There is no code in any program. Any idea what that should be? MAF is new original/clean one. Spark plugs/coil pack is ok. New fuel pump. All filters/oils are changed.
  18. Hi...sorry for late reply. It looks it "repaired" itself...maybe it was need to bleed or just "get used to" the new fluid. I have done X houndred km and problem is no more so fingers crossed 🙂 But thank you for help!
  19. @The Bogan Yes...it was done tuesday. Before it happens like one time in a month maybe and goes away in a second. We have done the fluid service and after that it starts doing it. Maybe the new "thicker/better" fluid is too much for the "dying" pump? @Murray_Calavera Yeah we checked that like month ago...i have new coilovers and bushings...wheels are tight and it does drive "bad" or vibrates from driving...only when i steer the steering wheels starts to shake. Maybe bubbles in the system? Could this causing this? And if need to replace the pump...are these pumps same on the "all" R34? Or maybe some other car has the same? (i have RB20DE NEO Manual) I looked at the parts numbers and genuine pump is like 1050 USD O_O
  20. Hi. My car starts to vibrate the steering wheel when i turn the wheels (it happens more often when iam turning to the right) But if i stop and try to "park" the car steering wheel shakes in both directions. it ONLY happens when i try to steer. When iam going straight or slightly turning it is ok. Could this be bad power steering pump or the whole rack? I saw some topic about "death" wobble...it does not do that. Car is not shaking when it drives straight(or slightly turning) or if it sitting idle doing nothing. Thanks 🙂
  21. @joshuaho96 Do we need any "special" software? I know(99%) that the car has no OBDII port and that i have some extension cord to the interface to OBDII @GoHashiriya Can you send me the link? I do not see that(it is friday so maybe it was sold) Yeah they were used but i dont know how many km they done but i presume that if some of the coils gone bad the car would run on 1/X cyl less same as the problem with the connector? As for the parts...yeah coil are old splits...plugs and harness is brand new...MAF is OEM and upon inspection looks good...connector to that too. CAS i rly dont know(can it do that?) For the info i have. I took the car to the highway and the symptoms are that most noticeable "lack" of everything on 4th and 5th gear. When i try accelerate just a little...the car and the engine change sound like it want it to do something but nothing happens...sometimes it start to accelerate but sometimes it does not...when the car changes the sound but it does not accelerate i would describe that sound as...some type of "chooking" or breathing? The sound is differenet and it changes to "normal" accelerating sound soon as the car starts to accelerate...maybe stuck/dirty throttle body? BUT if i put "pedal to the metal" car behaves normaly and all those "problems" above are nowhere to be found. IT IS really only when iam trying to maintain the speed or slightly accelerate.

It is factory manual(5 speed) The lag is "most" noticeable on 4th gear but it can stil "lag" on 3rd or 2nd...but on the 2n/3rd it is really like "milisecond" loss of power but gas pedal reacts normally. And it not do that all the time...the "loss of power" is only sometimes and the "i dont know what you want me to do" on 4th is happeing often like the just do not react to the gas pedal(it reacts i can feel/hear it but like nothing happens for a moment) But as i said it i only a cruising problem and when i try to maintain the speed. When i drive it "harder" the car behave as it should...
  23. Hi, So the new coilpack loom solve the problem. But the "cruising" problem is still there...the "lag" happens only a little bit but (it maybe connected) this happens mainly on 4th gear...there is a lag in power. When i try to accelerate only to maintane speed or little bit speed up...nothing happens only after a few moments like the car would "forget" what i want him to do. But if i put "peddal to the metal" it behaves normaly and quickly. When we replace the coilpack loom we changed sparked plugs(old were still good and nothing bad bud still) checked the coil packs and injectors...all were good. So what can it be? Can it be that MAF? And if...is there any other place i can try to get it other than the "official" sites with nissan parts(they want like 500USD juts for the part) 😄 Thx 🙂
  24. Yeah the man has some serious knowledge 🙂 I let you know how the things went after the reapir/loom arrives... I know that very few people has this engine...but at least it will be there as a info...not much of it anyways so at least something.

EDIT: Hi...so the "new" MAF is busted...100% not working or is just a cheap knock off...my old one running fine but soon as we put the new one car start to behave like that above(black smoke rough idle and 1-2 cyl down)... So at least my is "good" for now. Another issue related to the problem is that we found one of the coil connector was little bit out and it seems kinda broken. He says that this should be that problem cuz car is running normal until it heats up and then it start running bad. He says it can for like 90% could be this bad connector. It heats up and then just "slide" out. He try to "repair" just for the testing if it is really the connector. I already buy a new harness 🙂 So we will see.
