Few Questions Regarding My R 32 Gtr
adam_lateshift replied to adam_lateshift's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I have already hooked up the switch from the fuse box. Just wondering wat the benifits are of taking the front drive shaft out?? And what I need to do to do it?? I wanna drift it on the track. Im sure others have and have found it fine. -
Just so u kno my GTR has 250 atw's. Have many people gone to the track and tried drifting a R32 GTR. I have had a few practices. It gets pretty good angles but it wants to staighten up after a bit of sideways and you really have to work it to keep it out. Is this the hicas?? Is it worth getting a lock bar?? Also should I for the drift day take the front drive shaft out?? Is it just the 4 or so bolts?? Will oil piss out when I take it out?? Or is it okay just taking the fuse out?? Only other thing is should I worry about weight reduction too much? Passenger seats, Spare wheel, anything loose etc?? Any other tips let me know. Cheers fella's P.S by the way I know a GTR is no drift car I just wanna give it a go.

I currently own a GTR and am looking at doing a bit of a project car. I used to own a R-31 skyline and found them to be a good car to drift. Plus i'm pretty sure RB20 and 25's bolt in pretty easy. (love the RB's.) If I went with a pintara/R31 Skyline shell is it a straight bolt in for the engine and gear box?? Has anyone got pics and info on doing this?? Wat are some other options?? Blue bird, KE70?? Any help would be awsome. Cheers fellas

I am darg racing my R32 GTR with standard front bar and intercooler this weekend and I wonder if it better to leave the front bar on so you get better aero dynamics and more flow pushed towards the intercooler or Take it off and have slightly less weight and more of the intercooler showing. And more air I guess flowing round the engine?? I have to put it on a trailer so Im taking it off anyway but should I put it back on. Wat are peoples thoughts on this matter??

Sure is sammy. Can't wait. Don't know if im game enough to go out with u near me. Crazy bas..rd

I am 100% keen. Even though I sold the silvia the gtr should get side ways.

Boost Restrictor On Std Gtr
adam_lateshift replied to my_gtr32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Its looks like all my vacuum lines have been changed. Where would I find the restrictor in the vacuum lines?? Is there just one I need to take out?? Does it come from the actuator. Please help. -

Im in Tas so we only have 95 rom at the moment. So I think a re tune is in order by the comments I have received. Any other input would be good.

I bought a power FC for my R-32 GTR. The mods my car has is Z32’s, Exhaust, stock boost but will run 1 bar soon, Greddy intercooler piping and has a retune garage saurus ecu from Japan. The car has already been tuned for those mods with japans higher octane fuel. I won’t be doing anymore mods to the GTR so is there much use using the power FC. Im sure others have gone through the same sort of thing so if anyone can let me know how you went. Need to know about gains in performance and fuel economy ect. Cheers fellas

I have a R32 gtr and just put in a boost gauge. The car is running almost excactly 10psi. I can't find the yellow ring around the vacuum lines. Can't feel restrictors in the line. Just wondering if it has had the restrictors drilled bigger because its not running 15 psi like they are meant to without restrictors. It has a few mods like bigger intercooler piping(greddy) stock cooler full exhaust. Would that change it from the stock 7 psi. Which line to I find the restrictors in if they are still there?? Cheers fellas

Some in put from others Pretty interesting things they are saying

How wide are your tires. Traction is probably the thing in your case which will give you a better time. Don't go to the drags with shit tires unless you want shit times.

Would be the same you would think. I just heard a guy had a problem with it spiking occasionally. But no one else I have talked to said they had a problem. Cheers for that.
