I was hoping that there was a number or code on the chassis I could refer to. I don't know what to do with the bumpstrips & rear bumper trims when its time for respray. Like most they are discolored/faded.

Hmm ok So there was only one metallic grey used in series 1 and iron mask twin tone paint shemes? And the 'black 826' is actually the deep pearl blue but called black? How do I find the orig paint code my car left the factory in?

RB20 head can't be that bad, my cefiro arrived with a rb20 head, east bear 1.8mm HG on a rb25 bottom end.. Was good enough to compete in the advan drift meeting.. Theres an r32 about in japan built by garage testorossa (sp) with an rb20 head on 30 bottom end. Hands down would take a 24 if it had enough research and $$$ are behind it.

It's a internal wastegated T04B meant for a komatsu digger. Has a genuine ID plate etc, I'm quite sure its not a copy

Found it maybe 4-5 years ago on a japanese website when I owned my first DR. It was in at dr30 meeting. Never noticed there was a paul newman version hiding in the pic. I had the front end pic but deleted it. This was before I didn't really know what a sharknose was... Still to this day one of my fave pics and is one that I take alot of inspiration from.

Keep the drift pics coming! What mods are you running outatime to get it sideways like that?? I'm looking to do much the same with 15in wheels. Some my favorites.

Chrome trim does appear to be plastic. And is missing some chrome. Might hunt down some series 2 lights at a later date, prefer earlier versions over iron mask ones.. Thats assuming the Iron mask is aka series 3? Might start a new thread with some paint/body queries after its on the road. How good is your chrome trim mag86? Mines good, just a bit tweaked and sort of makes the bumper look out of whack

Hmm I was thinking they were stainless. Tried some plastic detailing spray but didn't do alot, still has years of grime buildup.

And can anyone confirm the brightwork trim on the tail lights is metal, before I attack them with autosol.

Didn't mean to step on anyones toes Not particulaly fussed if you still want it go for it stageformer. Onto more pressing issues, is this going to be tricky to rectify before paint?
