I've never heard of an he40, he35 I have however.. do you have pics or specs? I was going to try hunt down a 2nd hand ex Iveco van hx35 in Aus and have it rebuilt.. New ebay ones going for $500 and under seem dodgey as I've heard there are chinese copies being manufactured. Do you have a spare stoneguard? Also keeping an eye out for a mint lower chrome grill trim as mine is slightly bent in the middle.

Hey D, It was complied in 06. Some stage there after it was fitted with whiteline swaybars and lovells springs front and rear. Should keep me occupied until power mods progress. Really wish I kept the purple car, could have afforded both, just timing I guess. I am glad its getting knowledge and $$ thrown at it. exhaust sounds like it will be wild. Get those pics happening Exhaust when I get around to it will be 3in over the diff, no cat with a truck muffler if one will fit.

Received some good info on paint. Apparently 4 different shades of silver/grey with the same code. Grey metallic is the sharknosed car, and the early ones also had the deep deep metallic blue bottom. Exact color coding I want. Should I paint the bumpstrips????? Only concerning rust. Bits to go on at some stage. In need of a mint R30 stone tray. Under splitter that I'm very fond of. Name made me lol

I know what you're thinking, D-limo has found yet another shitbox that will never make it to rwc lol. Though the L28 was cool it needed work in my eyes and was never going to give the feeling of an fj20t. I had even considered dropping an fj into the 210. Though the car is clean enough, such a venture is not very cost effective. So I Found this gem in June last year.. Checked it out in person and made an offer but was told it had been sold.. Fast forward to now and I took some advice to try and find a dr30 already in the country instead of relying on luck of finding a decent example in japan cheap.. I remembered that the owner of the coupe had a brother with and RS-X sedan, sent an email, bros sedan was sold but he still had the coupe and had been collecting parts to get it back on the road! It has the rare Black interior including dash and plastics, 95k on the clock, included seperate was a brand new garrett T04 komatsu excavator turbo, GT-R intercooler, NOS badges, it is very rust free and quite original for a dr30. Still has standard exhaust. Plan is to get it road going as soon as the 210 is sold. Stage 1 will probs be paint in gunmetal over black twin tone, Stage 2 A power upgarde inluding a Holset HX35 500hp twin scroll turbo, exhaust with truck muffler. GT-R cooler, sheepdog BOV etc.

And who found the garnish?.. Lights are now available for $575 firm posted to the east coast. I'll post up the dr30 when its had some time spent on it, bit sorry looking atm but its basically rust free.

This came with my dr30. Surplus to my requirements. Too big, i'm going with a smaller holset truck turbo. Genuine Garrett, made in england. BRAND NEW. It has a .70 rear housing. Its meant for a Komatsu excavator, suits T4 flange. $450 Sunshine Coast QLD 54783158 [email protected]

Ok found out my turbo is for an Komastu excavator! Bit too random for me. Might have found HY35 and HX35's new from the US for $415 US + shipping. Awaiting reply with numbers for housing, compressor and turbine wheels. Will post them up. Also, is the twin scroll the same design as a twin scroll GT3076R?..

I'm loving the fact that the sound will add to the truck like nature of the fj. Taking inspiration from turbo datsuns I would also like to run a truck muffler and keep the theme going.

Interesting reading. I just bought a dr30 wich came with a brand new Garrettt T04 truck turbo. I'm thinking about flogging it off in favour of a holset as it will require a t4 flange, and it is only oil cooled not water cooled. With a stock fj20 what turbo would be suited to see full boost by 4200? Would I only need a spacer to mount the turbo?

Hi all, Firstly I'm new to the nitty gritty of turbos so bare with me.. So I want to fit a 'real' twin scroll GT30 to a standard fj20et exhaust manifold. Issues? For a street/drift application whats going to be the best sized gt3076r? Think I saw discopotato03 mention a rare HKS spec trim >500hp varient is now available... If I could see full boost just after 4000rpm that would be sufficeint. Plan on bringing the old fj out to 2.2L and cams at a later date.

Sorry guys, I'm putting the sale on hold till I sort a few things out. Just checked the head and defferz reads 'p90a' The main reason I put it up for sale is I yearn for another DR30 (I've had 4 of the things). 'If' the right offer came along I might be persueded. Or swaps for a dr30

L28 5 speed P90a turbo head Early emmissions free hitachi twin carbs. bigger pistons lumpy cam Custom harmonic balancer New 2.5 in exhaust with extractors. Car is 99% RUST FREE (some very light surface rust in engine bay) Now, the engine is making a sort of ticking or light knocking sound before its warmed up. You may want to study how wheel offsets work otherwise it could be hit and miss. There good info out there... even calculators to make the process a little easier. An 8 wide and 8.5 wide wheel will sit at different distances even if the offset is the same.
