Can't remember seeing any of these in wagon form. There is a Crown wagon of the same vintage which looks a little like a Y30. The VG30 turbo motor in the Y31 has a single turbo producing 190kw, while the Z32 engine is twin turbo producing 206kw.

Rang Nissan. Part#'s are different for R32 and A31. New price wasn't too outrageous($125 each) but I'm a cheapass and would rather a 2nd hand mount and put the left over cashola into the tune booked for next week.

Mine came from Japan with goop between the block and the sandwich plate. It would prob hold but genuine Nissan gasket is only $8 so better safe than sorry.

Cheap RB20 has been acquired! Makes alot more sense to research and slowly build the 23/24. Maybe I'm stupid but now I'm kinda looking forward to no boost below 4k. Power Enterprises F1 Black metal bearings sound good? Reground RB26 cams I will have to look into further. After seeing a pic of GTR pistons I'm certain the ones removed from the stroker are stock Nissan. Why Nissan would release pistons in that size I don't know.

These came out of an RB20 which has been bored out to nearly 83mm Code on the side of each rod is 20-3<>05U41-1 Also what is the easiest way to identify an RB26 crank? Big thanks!!

Pistons - I'm a bit stumped with these atm(and the crank and rods for that matter). Had a quick squizz then, they also have 'UNISIA' and an outline sorta thing of the Nissan symbol. I'm pretty stubborn when it comes to using jap only parts. Unless there is a clear advantage I would much prefer keeping it all jap. Old bearings look like standard Nissan. Forced induction is by a full HKS T04e kit. Hence I would rather go with the combination now that will help with response in any way. Labor cost for the entire build is a couple of bottles of bourbon. Cams - Read through the 'RB26 camshafts in RB20' thread. Aftermarket seems like much less hassle. Will be keeping a look out on Yahoo.

Well the pistons are cast and seem to be of Nissan origin. Only visible markings on them were '08U' Crown to deck height was around 53.5mm (ruler measurement so not exact on this) Markings on rods were 20-3 05U41-1 Crank '08U'

And is there any special machining needed on the new head to accommodate the larger piston/bore size?

Ok will measure stroke tomorrow, also dropping the sump and have a mechanic friend inspecting what bearings will need replacing. Will Nismo bearings suit my application? RB20 or RB26 bearings? What bolts should be replaced?

Ok I have searched. Pretty definitate on the rear GTR bar fitting. Can anyone confirm without a doubt a front R32/R33 GTR front swaybar will fit on the front of an A31/C33? Is it better to use the stock GTR end links?
