  12. You should try hit up Ben at HPI and and convince him he needs more suitable Watanabe's for his project... I have a HPI here with a pic of your car sitting in the auction yard with the Wata's still on and it looks beautiful. Offset is perfect

  18. There's also a box under the dash relating to aircon that can be removed.. from memory its around 3-5kg's and you need to rig up a small bracket to hold something or other in place.

  24. Daveo makes some good points there.. There's no need to go as far as the bullet roadster with the space frame etc.. Looking at pics I think a lot of the custom work in the front end it is beneficial to suspension geometry, weight etc, but is also needed to accommodate the dimensions of the V8?? Seam welding with a comprehensive cage with under body bracing should be enough to keep the little MX-5 from falling apart.. After Brakes, suspension, LSD, seat wheel etc 20k is probably a more realistic budget.
