  1. Oil control is better than both RB25/26. Stock pistons are teflon coated and stock bottom end is all round stronger than RB25.. 26 is probably a little stronger again?? 1J bottom ends are much cheaper when things go kablamo.. Down side is they are'nt as rev happy as RB motors.. Gearbox's are around the same price for both.. R154's from what I've heard are a lttle more notchy than the nissans. 1J's will be bad on fuel with a heavy foot and stock turbos on boost all the time..
  2. Hi bought my Ceffy running a Wolf 3D V4.. Can anyone give advice as to whom is experienced with these Ecu's on RB engines? Running aftermarket turbo etc.. Cheers, Jarryd
  3. Thanks everyone for the input..I'm a newb to the engine management side of things so this is a little over whelming lol. So there should be no idle problems on a manual RB25 with an experienced Wolf tuner? What does 'Wide band AFR' mean?
  4. Well I would be getting it tuned by George May who is the QLD distributor for Wolf ems.. So hopefully he knows his shizz.
  5. Hi I bought my Ceffy (RB25) with a plug-in Wolf 3D V4 installed. It's running on base maps atm... Have heard alot of negative comments about this ecu. What makes them worse than Microtech/EMS/Haltech etc? The car will be track dedicated for the moment.. Should I be looking at a more street friendly ecu if I plan on rego-ing it later on? Edit: Running a HKS TO4e kit, stock head/cams, Splitfire coil packs, Suspected Z32 AFM and larger injectors :
  6. I noticed the Missile sticker on the red Ceffy, search came up with nothing. Cheers Funky, good to know And A31cefiro how the f**k did you come up with wonder lol
  7. -If your running an A/M BOV make sure the spring is tight enough... -Could very well be coilpacks or ignitor pack : -What boost are you running> Could be boost cut If you just bought it I would be going and getting up Street Machines
  8. I think it's based on a GTR bar.. Bottom lip is gone due to drift damage This one is identical. If anyone knows the name of it would also be good to know
  9. Thanks man It needs a new head atm, fingers crossed the bottom end is ok. Then a basic road tune and straight to the skidpan Think I'm going to need a tyre sponsor
  10. Need to get some better ones done.. Its a bit more piggish now than the first 2 pics I posted.. Oh and if anone has some info on the drift crew 'Street Dancer' could you post up pls
  11. Just wondering if anyone has any info or links relating to a drift crew in Japan called "Street Dancer".. My car has 2 stickers wich leads me to think that the previous owner was part of this organisation .. Background info or pics would be sweet.
  12. Ah just some guy in a festiva tooted and waved.. Already been through this with my Laurel wich is uncomplied too.. Only need the import approval to state it came in under the 15 year scheme.. Will still be eligble under that rule. Unsure if its worth the effort to get it engineered atm.. Will prob get rolled by the popo every week if I rego it :
  13. I see why you want a flamethrower kit now.. Could come in handy in these situations *Ponders*
  14. Thats nuts.. I SAY THIS TAIME AND TIME AGAIN. UTE BOGANS ARE THE WORSE!!!! Have had a few altercations with this type.. All post 90- model holden utes, non stocko SS's etc..The usual bogan attitude with a bit of added ego(Cause of the sik airbrushing and twin chrome tips) seems to be a cocktail for, well cockheads...
  15. Just to be sure.. you are running premium right? Look out for the red "SAU" stickers .. Sign up to SAU Qld.. Dunno what benifets you get lol but sure it would help get to know more Brissie skyrice owners.
  16. Looks pretty clean mate.. have'nt heard any probs with street machines.. Personally have found them to be a bit exy, but haey maybe you get what you pay for.. Front bar looks to be a GT-R copy.. Could possibly be Nismo?? Have fun with her. Try and get to a couple of skid pan or track days so you can get used to the boosted RWD love! biggrin.gif
  17. Thanks yeah I love it more than anything All work carried out in Japan.. Fronts are aftermarket flares that have been smoothed over. I'm guessing the rears are the same with the added complication of the door.. but yes large quantities of bog is involved
  18. Hahahaha yeah that was about 1/2 an hour after we picked it up.. Stalled like 5 times from Racecraft to where we were sitting lol. Had to go buy a new battery... Managed to limped it home (on base maps with 4 cylinders running ) You were'nt in the blue festiva were you? Nah she's not even complied yet.. May be looking at a new bottom end first Chris your talking about Blakes old Ceffy yeah?.. I was gonna buy that but couldn't get the cash at the time. I'm good mates with Ryan
