  1. Awesome help fellas.. I will pass on all this info ASAP. The next question will be if the workshop is in their right to sell the car to pay off the debt.
  2. Yeah this is the only solution we have come up with.. The location of the shed is unknown. 1+1= why this thread was created. On topic please. Is there a free leagal service or the like for these situations? He is flat broke without a clue what to do.
  3. Firstly this situation is serious and I'm looking for sound advice from someone with a legal background, or advice from someone who has been through a similar experience. KEEP THIS ON TOPIC. NO SPAM PLEASE My mate imported a car under the 15 year rule with some serious mods. Was not running correctly when he took delivery of said car. It is also uncomplied. He enlisted a local workshop to try and fix the problem, which lead to an aftermarket cpu to be installed. As it turns out my mate lost his job and was unable to pay the amount owed to the workshop. At this point he was told he was not getting the keys back until the money was paid. After 2 months of the car sitting in the workshop and my mate paying a small amount of the debt off, the workshop informed him that the car would be placed in a storage shed where my mate would have to pay the rent of the shed ON TOP of what was owed. The car has sat dormant in this shed for over 3 months now. Which results in my mate apparently owing a large amount of money. Which he obviously doesn’t have. The workshop has also threatened to sell the car under him! My mate really doesn’t have a clue what to do. Any experienced advice is GREATLY appreciated. Cheers, Jarryd
  4. Nah Saw the ad like 4 times today.. When the V8 ute series was on ch 9... Definatly Yokohama Advans lol
  5. Just saw an ad for Advans. Available from Yokohama dealers inlcuding Bob Jane. WTF? Have they been available for long?
  6. Yeah got 165V2's... Subtle, very clear clear sound. Need decent power though. Crossover level is adjustable. They won mobile speaker of the year or something in '04. Around the $400 mark now I think. Next speakers I will be buying for rear fill will be a pair of DLS. http://www.dls.se/english/ The reference 6x9's are meant to be outstanding.
  7. Anyone have idea's on wich fuse/relay I need to test?
  8. Bombed Celsior with custom centrifugal charger setup
  9. Do not trust the odometer unless there is evidence that it is correct.. Wich there won't be. Winding back of odometers is VERY common. Try and make your own asumption on k's by checking wear on pedals and stock steering wheel (If it has one). Also check thoroughly for under body rust.. Wich will give an indication to how prone the car will be to more serious rust problems in the future. You should be able to find a clean one for around 10-12.5k IMO Good luck. And Go the 4 doors!
  10. Go the pig.. And Ceffy SA your car is hot! Love the Ryver Touring..
  11. They werer never sold there localy. There's heaps over there cause NZ has VERY leanient importation laws.
  12. f**k 11 pages in 2 days

  14. Sounds right.. its possible to change in some cars with no clutch at the right revs
  15. Yeah got Hicas... I pulled the radiator out to remove the rest of my aircon. Lost a tiny bit of what looked like transmission fluid. I have one of those light test screwdriver dooba's. What next? My Turbo timer misteriously stopped working after I took the radiator out too
  16. Steering seems a bit heavy lately.. Where do I start looking for problems? Leeks etc?
  17. Hi on the hunt for a front lip to suit my Laurel.. Maybe a Ceffy one if I can figure if they are interchangable. Cheers, Jarryd
  18. First priority in drift is a good LSD! My mate just bought a new Cusco wich has the nifty feature of being able to change between 1.5 and 2 way. Next is a set of of damper adjustable coilovers in good condition. Castor rods are nice to have too. A good seat will help you control the car better. Then start looking for a bit more power. A oil cooler is a good idea if you start getting serious.
  19. Heaps of people getting on the KE70/AE71 Corolla bandwagon. Virtually a 4 door Ae86. And can be bought for $300 lol. AE71 is the pick as 4ag engines bolt straight in. Installing an RB20 into a s13 is no good for weight distribution. Wich is very important in drift. From your idea's I would try find the most extensivly modded R32 you can import..
  20. Yeah that thing is very tuff... Awesome it's now on the coast
  21. Sounds a bit too mission for my electrical skills (read close to none). Cheers for the help people. Chris- PM sent
  22. Happy Bday for yesterday daveo
  23. The hanesses cost like $45.. And the unit is probably worth that 2nd hand.. So yeah I'm trying to do it cheap as possible lol. You're right. Finding wich pin is for what is going to be the hardest thing to figure out. I was hoping it was that easy. Can anyone confirm? Also is there spec sheet or the like I should be searching for that would contain what each pin does?
