  1. here is my first attempt
  2. here's the press release, just incase he tries to delete it after he realises what a moron he is.
  3. good old screwballs scruby has been at it again, this time alledging that window tint leads to terrorism THE LINK ACTUALLY WORKS NOW!!! check out his latest press release here http://www.walk.com.au/pedestrianco...asp?PageID=1181 here's the link with all his contact details should anyone want to write to screwballs http://www.walk.com.au/pedestrianco....asp?PageID=120 for those who wanted to know here's a quick bio on Harold "screwballs" Scruby. A few years back he used to be a mayor of some suburb in sydeny and a few years back he was also hit by a car, this is what prompted him to form a lobby group called the pedestrian council of australia. it is important to note that scruby and his pedestrian council have no official position within any government body in australia, scruby and the pedestrian council are just a self funded lobby group who get a bit of sponsorship money from companies like woolworths. the government itself pretty much ignors scruby, but for some strange reason various newspapers and tv shows like a current affair seem to give him a lot of publicity. Now basically scruby is anti-car and anti-motorist and tries to lobby the government to try and ban lots of stuff related to motoring, some of his campaigns include; TV advertising (he got the mitsubishi ad banned) banning 4WD's (eventhough he drives one himself) P-plate curfews (he claimed that more than 1/2 of australia supported the idea) banning performance cars and a bunch of other anti-motorist crap. Here's a picture of harold himself
  4. two of my cars have been given names, although not by me. the first was my old 308 commodore which evryone refered too as the blue phatom and then became known as the smokey phatom after it blew a head gasket and started burning oil. then i had a stock standard yellow datsun 200b called daisy (the name was given too it by the previous owner and it just stuck) and the bloody thing use to do the best burnouts of any car i ever owned.
  5. :werd: getting sick to death of cannons, go the straight pipe
  6. Most of the cars I've seen run Autronic computers have pretty much run flawlessly, so I'm surprised to read your comments. although most of the cars I've seen using Autronics have been V8's.
  7. baseed on my own personal experience, i'd say go with the best ecu you can afford, eg MoTeC or Autronic, these computers have given the closest to OEM tune you'll get from an aftermarket ecu and should be able to still comply with emmissions regs if tunes properly (and the rest of the car is set up properly) as well as control most of your cars other functions such as boost control etc. I know they are expensive, but in my opinion they are worth every cent.
  8. now those of you who have read some of my other posts on this forum will know how much I dislike A Current Affair, but tonight they actually did something good for a change. tonight they did a story on some of the problems in our traffic law, namely people still loosing points on charges they have beaten in court, and the fact that members of the public have no right of appeal, yet the RTA has a right to appeal a decision made by the court if a member of the public beats a charge. now as anyone who knows even a liitle bit about traffic law will know, there are many unfair inadaquacies like this through out the laws, it really is a case of GUILTY UNTILL PROVEN INNOCENT!!! and the rta and the state governments has done everything in its power to prevent people from being able to prove there innocence. so what has this got to do wit ACA? well despite how I or anyone else feels about them, they are in a position to put a lot of pressure on the government to change the inadequacies in the law. So I think it would be a good idea for everyone to write to ACA and commend them for running a story like this and let them know how angry we all are with the state governments over these laws. If ACA thinks there is enough intrest in this topic, than they'll probably keep running stories on it, and then sure enough all the other tabloid current affair shows like today tonight, 60 minutes etc and the tabloid newspapers like the daily telegraph, should hopefully follow suite. this should put tremendous pressure on the government to ammend the laws. contact ACA here: http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/feedback/feedback_form.asp
  9. I'd sugest something like one of Hi-Tech Mufflers bolt on systems if your worried about noise (legallity) of the system, they generally flow pretty well and are designed to meet the noise, emmissions and ground clearance/exhaust fitting ADR's. you can check them out here www.hitechmufflers.com other that thet, i'd suggest finding a good local exhaust shop and getting one custom made to your requirements
  10. Sounds like a question for a solicitor who specialises in traffic law. You might be intrested in section 12.3 item 6 of the silver eagle radar handbook. click on the image attached to see what i mean
  11. from what I have seen, those sprays do nothing. There is however a little divice called the road angel, which kind of works like sat-nav, except it has all the fixed speed camera locations in it's memory, and every time you approach a speed camera, it warns you so you can slow down for it.
  12. :werd: Although I'm not an ethnic,I can simpathise whole heartedly. I am a white middle class aussie from country nsw and I have been harrassed by the police like you wouldn't beleive, ever since I got my P's and my first car, a V8 commodore (about 9 years ago now) I have been harrassed relentlisly by the police, I have been both verbally and physically abused by them, and had them bring false charges against me several times (which I took to court and won, luckily). I couldn't even drive to work in the morning with out being pulled over and given a hard time by the police, and why? because I was a P-plater in a V8!!! Now could someone please remind me again why I should respect these cops!!!
  13. I don't think there'd be any point, they'd just edit it and twist your words around to make you look like the worlds biggest scum. ACA has even been sued for stuff like that in the past, where they have twisted peoples words around to make them look guilty and have reportedly even gone as far as paying actors to try and get footage.
  14. Just watched THE MOST BULLSHIIT STORY I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! ACA did another one of their trademark stories on how hoons are the root of all evil tonight but this time they've gone to far, A Current Affair has tried to pin the blame for gangland style murders on modified car culture.
  15. APs also has this single turbo kit, if you don't want to spend as much. http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/350z/sin...e/it_system.htm
