I have an R31 with a vl rb30 instead of the Nissan I'm wondering what turbo I should get? I would be going for garret but iv been told to get either the T3 or the T03.. I'm not sure on which one to get and what the actual difference is.. any advice would be appreciated Not looking for heaps of power want to do the car up, drive it on the weekends and when I feel like having a bit of fun. Any advice would be appreciated as well if you send could some links of any turbos or even photos of your set ups that would be good cheers

When I looked in crow cams a while back for r31 rb30 it had 3 stage cams so idk

Crow cams? Why’s it funny? this guy I spoke to on Facebook that has an r31 with rb25 gearbox his been telling me what he did

Someone also told me to get r33 clutch, flywheel, sandwich plate, bearing, fork and he said mount.. guessing he means gearbox mount I’m not exactly sure but yeah any advice would be appreciated.. worst case I don’t end up going turbo at least iv got a good gearbox, an then I can eventually put a stage 2 cam or something

I wouldn’t get secondhand injectors I found a guy but his charging 900 so prob won’t even bother since I can get these for cheaper and they seem better, with the ecu probably better if getting NISTUNE I’ll send some photos of the injectors anyway like I said I’m just trying to find out the cost and what not I’m more leaning towards getting an rb25det gearbox since mine will eventually shit on me it’s already playing up abit, just would like more info about the doing the conversion from what I know the tail shaft has to be modded, I need an s3 auto cross member gearbox mount

Hey mate I seen that you said you can buy the rb25det gearbox from Nissan, do you have a part number because I just off the phone with them no go..

If anyone can fill in the gaps of what else I would need Or correct me if I’m wrong so I can turbo my car, that way I can actually try find out how much it would actually cost me and then I can make a decision from there would be greatly appreciated so far I know VL turbo injectors VL turbo ECU Dump pipe Intercooler Garret T03 Piping 5 Stud conversion for r33 brakes Engine rebuild RB25 gearbox... RB25 driveshaft..? Like i said if I’m wrong about anything please correct me if there is anything I missed please let me know.. itll just help me make my mind on what I’m going to do.. I’ll basically find how much everyone part will cost me and if I’m not happy I’ll just go with an NA build Thanks

I don’t have that type of money to drop, even just thinking about what @mlr said 20-30k even thats abit of a stretch for me I will have to have have a good think about what I’m doing, especially before putting a turbo in because like as everyone has said will need the rb25 gearbox and drive train and the rebuild on the motor will be very hefty so I will be thinking more into so I do appreciate the advice I’m going to be spending 700 tomorrow to get an alarm on the car with central locking because it is an old car which I do like an i do intend on keeping it, so maybe I’ll just stick to the smaller things an go from there and make a decision if I really want to go that far and throwing in a turbo

Yeah I agree finding a rb25 transmission will be very difficult what is a fair price for a rb25 transmission?

@mlr Someone was saying to leave it stock because it’ll be a collectors.. would a turbo really affect the price in a negative way? I wouldn’t of thought so in my opinion
