I don't think that you'll be looking at a gain worthy of spending the money to get a turbo back 3" exhaust unless you're going to add some mods further down the track to utilise the extra size increase. I'm assuming you have a 2 1/2" at present otherwise why would you go another 3" setup?

Stolen, Need Every Help We Can Get - Now Found!
2LV8ETR replied to viet_boi's topic in Western Australia
This is true. Having been in the electronic security business (development) before, I can honestly say that immobilisers and keypads would not stop a professional criminal. I can get past immobilisers inside of 5 minutes. If a professional thief wanted your car, he'd get it. Only uneducated losers, idiots and joyriders would be stopped by these devices. It does represent a vast majority of the stolen vehicle crime statistics, but even though a pro would get past these devices, they are still better having than not. The GPS tracking systems are by far the better option, but you would not want to advertise the fact on your car because even these can be thwarted if they are known to exist in the target vehicle. The best defense in this case is oblivious ignorance. -
What car are we talking about. There is no info.

I would love to have been in the car with you man.........

Will 33gtr Strut Brace Fit On 33gtst
2LV8ETR replied to 510ONE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The Nismo has the extra bracing, but if you wanted to fit an engine damper it would be in the way. Other than that, I personally would go the Nismo. -
C@^t punt time..... What are the cops doing about it?
-
I've also been told that a lot of cops are leaving the force due to the court's decisions to hand out extremely light sentences or drop charges altogether for major crimes. Has anyone else heard of this? This obviously leaves the remainder nothing else to do but to pick on car enthusiasts because they're a sure thing now.

Stolen, Need Every Help We Can Get - Now Found!
2LV8ETR replied to viet_boi's topic in Western Australia
The police probably won't do much about it as their feeble minds will be thinking that there's one less hoon car on the road. If it was being driven on it's way to Albany, the thieves have a huge set of balls the size of melons considering the hoon target factor. Still hoping the best though, it's too nice a car to be chopped. -
Rb20det Low Mount Turbo Extractors?

I was waiting for Bubba's input -
Yup.

My opinion, others will see different: I would start with the exhaust as it is one of the first important mods which will pave the way for future upgrades. Focus on the supporting mods before going too hard on the engine. After this, opening up the intake with a performance panel filter or pod setup would be second.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! That is one sexy car, I spent a bit of time envying her. Will keep my eyes peeled. Sorry man. -
Yep, our police officers are definitely built of sturdy character, here's a couple of examples: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/02/23/2498848.htm http://www.thedaily.com.au/news/2009/may/2...cop-stood-down/ http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=697397 http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?Men...ContentID=48515 http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/au...lia-926699.html http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2004/05/04/1100684.htm http://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/articl...70851_news.html http://www.theage.com.au/national/top-cop-...80924-4nf9.html http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-115533558.html http://www.policeforcesexposed.com/modules...r=0&thold=0 http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/1010565/latest-from-wire/ And the winner of the biggest travesty of all goes to: http://wotnews.com.au/like/tribunal_reinst..._crash/1782138/

Checking Transmission Fluid

In the bung on the side of the box. -
Sometimes it helps if you put your location in your personal info, so we don't have to ask the question.... Where abouts are you located man?
-
I've got one of these on order to help combat their crap. http://www.spytechs.com/mobile-car-event-camera.htm If you can't trust the police to be honest, then who can you?

Another issue I came across once that was similar to this was that there was a loose wire on the ECU harness. Just to cover all bases, remove the kick panel, start the car and GENTLY wriggle the ECU harness and see if the car cuts out.
-
This is absolutely getting beyond a joke. Fair enough, if some tosser wants to paint elevens he deserves to have his car removed until he learns the ramifications his actions could bring, such as mowing some poor bastard over or ploughing into a parked car. But to class all car enthusiasts as hoons would be tantamount to us stereotyping police for what they have been busted for in the past. I know that in the past that they've been done for assault, possessing child pornography, and theft among others. And remember some years ago when those porkers were done in Bunbury for dressing up like KKK members and drove through a multinova in an impounded BMW at 200km/h with covered plates? So Mr. police officer, should I now class you as a hooning pedophile who steals peoples cars and bashes others for fun? Go catch a real criminal you poor excuse for life!

Emergency! No Pressure In Clutch
2LV8ETR replied to Line 3's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Could be: Broken fork pivot. Broken pedal box. Blown slave line. As previously stated, low fluid level. Blown master/slave seals. -
If no luck on the AAC, clean the AFM.

Weld the spider gears to the planetary gear. Special care should be taken to make the most durable welds possible, some have welded thick bolts onto the spider gears to make for a stronger weld. Failure could result in an immobilised diff which would cause an unsafe condition for you, and those around you. Pros: - Breaks traction consistently, makes drifting much easier than open diff. - It's cheaper than an aftermarket center. - It's extremely durable when done properly. - Little to no maintenance. - In certain situations, and if driven correctly, you will have more grip in cornering. Cons: - Requires a different way of taking corners. Must accelerate through a turn, to the limit of adhesion, taking care not to break the tyres loose and cause oversteer if circuit racing. - Tyres make noise at very low speeds (typically parking, or U-turns) as the wheels fight each other. The wheels are travelling at the same speed, but along different radii, which causes the outside wheel to shake, hop, and break loose at low speeds. This will increase tyre wear in normal use, but if you really care about tyre wear over performance, you wouldn't be welding a diff. Let it also be known that most 2-way LSD's exhibit this same characteristic, especially the more aggressive ones. - Car tends to push at low speed. - Not recommended for inexperienced grip driving. Can be very effective and far more consistent than an open diff, but requires advanced driving techniques. - If the welds break, they can cause diff lock, and lead to a potential accident.
