We'd just bought the car off eBay and we're in the process of stripping it out and preparing it for race duties.

  7. From memory I believe that the master cylinder is shared with a Nissan Patrol of the same era. I wouldn't be surprised if the slave is shared as well.
  8. You can do it yourself with a 12 & 14mm socket, a phillips screwdriver, a pair of pliers, and a rebuild kit for about $15-20 for each. Piece of cake.
  9. Gluing poly plastic is not a solution as it's a waxy material. You can try but you won't have any success. I know someone who may have an assembly available and if you don't get any advice on how to repair it let me know and I'll pass on the request.
  10. Replace the nylon cap, they're only about $5 from Nissan. R33 and R32 shifters are the same.
  11. A couple of things spring to mind: Running too lean. Running too hot. Excessive amount of additive in your fuel.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but I'm of the impression that ABS was installed on the AWD models, namely the Gts-4 and the GT-R.
  13. Greets man. That doesn't look like a short shifter. The throw should be longer than what I'm seeing. The short shifter setup works by placing a bushing into the seat and extending the throw, compensating for the bush. The shifter sits on top of the bush. A cap is used to retain the shifter because it no longer sits inside the seat and cannot be retained by the factory circlip, it's also bolted down using C clamps. The 20 box uses the same lever as the 25, the only difference being that the 20 box uses a smaller nylon cap, and the 25 uses a larger cap. The GT-R box uses the same cap and lever as the 25.
  14. The amount of money you'd spend would be more if you were to source everything you need, than if you sold your RWD and purchased a Gts-4. The other factor is that finding everything you need. You'd have more luck finding an honest cop than finding all of your parts. The engine/sump/diff combo, the ECU, engine/dash/rear wiring harnesses, rear reservoir, rear diff, accelerometer, etc.... Good luck finding it all. Really man, just sell your current beast if you really, really want one. That's the best advice I can give.
  15. First thing to do is check the power connector for the pump with a multimeter to see whether you have voltage and earth. If you do, it's the pump, if you don't, trace the wiring back to the fuse box to see if there is a fault in the harness somewhere.
  16. I had a similar issue once and I used Motul Gear300 and the problem went away. If you have a cheap brand (not saying you put it in) in there currently, it could be causing the problem.
  17. Short answer as it has been covered many times. You can do it, but there are a lot of things you need to get hold of and it will be costly. If you were given for free what you need it would be worth doing just for the fun factor of the build. You'd be better off buying a GT-R or Gts-4 if you want AWD. Use the search function and you'll find what you're looking for.
  18. I'm running HKS Hiper-D's, a mate is running Tein's and another mate is running Cusco/Ohlins. All are excellent and make a big difference. I have heard of others using different brands, but you need to take into account reliability and availability of parts for rebuilds.
  19. With what you've stated above, you'll be okay. Just no hard launches now.........
  20. If you prefer to fork out the cash to get the better item, go the coilovers. If you can't afford it, the Kings will do but make sure your shocks are in fairly good condition. If they've been in the car for a while, swap them out too. The only issue if you have to swap them out, is that you'll be close to the price of a set of coilovers. I ran with Kings for a while and I was happy, until I put the coilovers in. BIG difference. Your call.
  21. King springs are definitely a cheap alternative, but they pale in comparison to a good coilover setup.
  22. Check to see if the battery is leaking via a small hole or crack in the base, or near the clamps.
  23. I personally leave my cans in neutral. The only time I leave it in gear is on a steep incline, and that's once in a blue moon.
  24. Not the bracket that's on the bonnet, the one that the release lever, cable catch, horns, etc sits on. It travels down to the lower sub frame.
