  1. Pull the globe man. If it doesn't pass (It won't be because of the globe, plead ignorance) it'll be because of the lock bar. It's worth a shot. HID's are overrated in my opinion. Some love them, some don't. There's nothing wrong with the stock lights.
  2. Swap the HID kit if it doesn't conform (cleaning/levelling), pull the HICAS warning globe.
  3. A day without the boss is an easy day!
  4. Too true. If you were a little old lady driving down to the corner store and got pulled over you would be told to contact the DPI as soon as you get home. If you were driving an import, they would do you for driving an unregistered vehicle, slap up a yellow sticker for some concocted rubbish, tow and impound your car, then throw you in a cell with Bubba the butt bandit for the night.
  5. They've had the ANPR system in pommyland for a while now. Mostly they check for tax, insurance, registration, licensed drivers, and warrants. Over here they would more than likely check for registration and licensed drivers. The bigger the database gets though, the more they'll be able to access. Better be good kids!
  6. Why not relocate the battery to the boot? It's easier and will give you the room you need.
  7. It's about bloody time. The whole rego thing has been a waste for a long time.
  8. Greets man. If you remove the CC unit you'll see at the rear of it a bunch of small white round caps with slots. These are the light carriers. You need to give each one a turn to the left with a small screwdriver, then pull them out with a pair of circlip pliers or similar tool. You will notice that each one has a very small globe with a blue cap. You need to replace these by just undoing the wire tail and threading a replacement into the carrier the same way you took the old one out. Nissan don't carry the globes, but any good electronics shop will. When I do them, I replace them with LED's but if you don't know what you're doing with electronics, I would stick to using common incandescent filament globes. Good luck.
  9. It's one thing to voice an opinion, but it's another to attack somebody personally.
  10. Dude, they're S2. What you do from here is up to you. Bugger around with them, or replace them with OEM's or an aftermarket brand. This is where you need to decide which way you want to go.
  11. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  12. If you know what you're doing, crack it open and install a bearing kit through it. If you don't know what you're doing, get a quote from a reputable mechanic and weigh the costs against installing a second hand box from a wrecker. Make sure you have some sort of return warranty in case the box is stuffed. If you have a mate who can help you, you should be able to do it yourself for zero cost.
  13. You could relocate it into a towed trailer as long as you know what you're doing. But the real question is why?
  14. This will be your best bet for what you are describing.
  15. Stupid question but just in case.... You haven't got the clutch adjusted to a high tolerance have you?
  16. "If it's the throwout (thrust) bearing it will be noisy when the clutch is engaged." That's what I said...... A few times I've come across this issue and it was the input shaft bearing. It sounds like a straight cut set when you drive the car. Either way, if he leaves it too long he'll have issues.
  17. Do you know if the pump was in good working condition before installing/buying it?
  18. I'm with you here man. I've been monitoring this from post one and I'm surprised to see the comments go this far. I don't know whether the Mod is on holiday or not but if people were sandbagging an ethnic group or a religious faction, this would have come to a halt pretty damn quick. It's getting as bad as NissanSilvia.com with their flaming and abusive tendencies towards newbies asking first time questions. They think they're better than others because they have a bit of experience. Guys, so what if she's going to be making a big financial mistake. It's her money and if she loses a shitload, then it's her fault for not taking the advice of the knowledgeable people giving it. I'm sure there's a few who have gone the wrong way with a modification and paid the price for the direction that they took, but you learn from that mistake, pick yourself up and stride forward. If a guy was to do the same thing and asked for advice I'm sure that the pathetic remarks made by some in this thread would not have come to bear. You're no better than some bigot calling an Asian a gook and there are many of them on this site, go ahead and try, see how far that comment gets you. I pity the girl. This is not the sort of message we should be sending out in this day and age. You can shoot me down for making my comments, but in the end I know I'm a better person for accepting the girl for a human being, not as my own personal dart board.
  19. Greets man. SOR could mean anywhere from Preston Point to Cardup. A suburb would help a little here. Later!
  20. Don't forget the bonnet catch bracket as well, they're different too.
  21. Bweeeeeeckkkkk! Bleeeerrrrrrrkkkkk! Grrrrwwwwwoooooolllllll! Just lost me dinner.
  22. Bah! Ban this guy!!!!
