they get a hell of a lot of money just for forwarding emails, and for browsing yahoo auctions...
btw - when you get your car finally here, get a professional or pay some one to look at it and tell you exactly what is wrong with it now, A friend of mine finally got his GTR from J-land - i wont disclaim the popular broker/supplier - ie who he went through with, they changed the oil, played around with the boost, then the engine started knocking reallly really bad, they put boost down to .6 thought that would sort it self out, then the engine died. The report from japan was the "runs very well and is in good condition" was even a grade 3.5. Now he needs a new engine...
Dont kid yourself with 15 years old cars, they are 15 years old :|
I was going to import a GTR myself, prices started to rise, so i was gonna settle for a hard ass GTS-T, but a friend told me of a friend of his who had a GTR, imported a few months ago, and was selling (he's an importer himself, so he changes cars like his undies). I ended up paying just over 20K, that was after a full inspection, brake overhaul, full service etc. About 1-2 weeks of just cleaning the car etc, the alternator dies, that was about 400$, air con gas became degassed magically(leak), nothing too major - and thank heaven not, because i was shitting myself over small things like that, let alone an engine rebuild.
Luckily the bloke i bought it off is not dodge, he has been able to fix everything so far for it, no charge. But its gotten me real paranoid with the car
So just becareful with your purchase, and remember that 15years old is a long time. Get it checked out properly, and be real honest with yourself. because if things **** up big, you gots to pay big
Anyways good luck with your cars, heh the reason why i didnt import, is because i wanted it right there and now, after seeing the GTR i bought it less than 2 weeks later, let alone having to wait for months on a boat
But yeah, good luck, i hope you enjoy it as much as i do, killing commonwhores on a daily basis
