But it dont seem to be running rich at all. infact everything seems perfect just this damn idle problem Vid will hopfully be up shortly. -

car is pretty much standard apart from a Pod filter and a cat back 3 inch nismo exhaust it runs standard boost and ECU hasnt been modified at all standard BOV aswell no i havnet cleaned the AFM yet its on my to do list for this weekend do i read to use brake caliper cleaner for that. -
ok noticed this with my car when i 1st bought it a few years ago would idle between 1000-400rpm boucing while stationary like at lights in driveway morning warmup stuff like that now only yesterday my car was idling whilei was in the garage and it stalled i was like hmmm strange so i went and started it back up and it would not start so i poped the bonnet and checked the AFM plug and just had a look and then qwent back cranked it and it started let it run abit then it died again then i started it and it ran and then died again. didnt know hat the prob was as i have never had it just die like that so i gave it an oil change and filter i hardly drive the car i have had the car for 4 or so years bought it on 99k and its up to 108ks. Now im just wondering what the problem might be im thinking maybe this idling problem is all connected with the stalling i have a Vid of the idling but it didnt stall i just have to reduce the vid size from 850mb so i can upload it to youtube and link here. My thoughts were AFM though i was told unplug it and if the car dies it isnt your AFM so tried that and the car died so thats one thing if its true. AIC valve maybe dirty so i might pull that off and clean it this weekend coming. also i thought maybe Air filter dirty or maybe fuel filter so ill change all them this weekend aswell. see how things go any thoughts much appreciated.

yer cause all i have is a pod filter and exhaust atm. wanted to get rid of the bov and im about to fit the rest of my 3 inch exhaust system but now i require my licence for work im having 2nd thoughts

ok so what about block the BOV up all together i really hate the noise to be honest ive lost my licence before and i now require my licence for work so last thing i want is attention from coppers with noise my car is stock thought has 3 inch exhaust and yer im abit worried about that aswell.

yer mine is the in out wear hole aswell yer if im paying 150 for retrim it would be great but like if its 300 plus im better off getting another style seat and reweld stuff to make it fit. -
ok kool so what if i replaced it with a exit atmo BOV it will play up im guessing also with a 10 psi limit can i put another spring inside the unit or somthin so i can leave it stock and run more boost?

Ok got a wear hole in my R33 drivers side seat and yer it annoys me even though its small so i am looking at a few options to what i can do obviously Seat covers is cheapest but i have been thinking about R33 GTR seats. I know they fit and all but was abit suprise at one place i looked at a pair with door card match @ $1400 is this the going price cause i was only thinking id get away with them for like 300-400 buks or maybe another car with alot of electric options on the seat and get that in there but i want that sporty feel though. Or i know i can get a pair of WRX seats heaps cheaper and just mod them and wack them in? Or get a full set of aftermarket seats with rails RECARO,BRIDE or somthing. Or last idea is reapholstered getting the GTS25T seats Redone sounds good at 1st though it dont have the hugg a bility of the GTR or WRX seats around the sides you guys know what i mean unless they can bolster them or somthing but ill still have the GTS25T style headrests. Your Thoughts please.

are they supposed to cause i was under the impression that the BOV shouldnt leak at all only when released when off throttle. If this is so would blocking the recirc valve like a plate to block it all do any justice or damage to my motor or alter AFR?

ok yesterday pulled the pipe off that goes between my intake and Stock BOV and i put my hand on the outlet and it feels like air is leaking out. can i block this valve up cause it feels like its leaking on just idle.

i did a search on using a few different words if i just didnt use the right words sorry but T3 mod,t3 upgrades stock turbo upgardes didnt lead me to what i wanted. OK been looking at doing somthing with my stock RB25 T3 to give it more power or buy another turbo that will fit str8 on and use my exhaust that i already have i have been looking at the KLS spirit turbos are these any good or are they a cheap build and what makes them so crap and can it be fixed before use.? 999 automotive sell these and i havent had a problem with anything bought from them in the past. and moding my RB25 T3 i was thinking front covers and wheel sizes and what will work well.

gotta remember that E85 is really a wonder fuel so i have heard. I had a KE TX3 Turbo back in the days that had a Boost cut and fuel cut but what you could do is just DC the boost cut pipe and block it and you could run as much boost as you wanted with the bang bang of the engine cutting also it was only mapped up to 11psi so i stuck it at 10 psi from a stock 8psi on a Hi flowed VJ14 turbo. also seen a extra injector setup on another TX3 just 1 extra 550cc RX7 injector that was hook up to squirt when number 1 injector did work well until the bonnet was up and it was spraying fuel everywhere wasnt sealed could have been a huge fireball was in the rubber inlet hose. -

Yer well weather wise the exhaust didnt happen wasnt interested changing it in the rain so next week will have to do thanks for the help guys yer was going to take the heatshield and that off will it be a good i dea to mod the HS abit so it fits back on with the 3 inch exhaust im sure it will help with engine bay heat ransfer or somthing. maybe looks. -
Fitting Exhaust Any Think I Need To Know?

Ok yer i was guessing rust would be prominent as far as i know the its the whole system from turbo and cat so im not using any stock exhaust components except bolts. i was also told use Loktite on ALL exhaust bolts dont drown it just a swipe on 1 side of the bolts or nail polish if i dont have loktite. Is there any gains in cleaning my o2 sensor if so how would i go about doing it if i can. also i remember on my TX3 i had a turbo to manifold gasket that was like a perferated steel looking thing it burnt out same day it was installed and started leaking so i stay away from that crap. -
Ok fitting my front turbo dump pipe and xforce cat this weekend to my R33 GTS25T is there anything i need to know or do just to make life easier in the process i only have access to ramps and trolley jack. I already have a Nismo cat back 3 inch system so im guessing a cat and front splite pipe from turbo should fit on np.

yer they are RB26 R32 twin turbos oh well at least i save my hard earns looking at the outcome thanks guys -
wasnt going to bother changing turbos on my RB25DET but a mate of mine is going to a single turbo and has a twin Turbo setup from his RB26DETT which have also had steel wheels installed which he says is N1 spec turbos but i dont know for usre what he means good for over 300rwkw was mentioned aswell dunno how true that is either as he only had a few other slight mods like Fuel pump front mount and moded ECU. now i thought it would be crazy but what if i was to fit these to my RB25DET would they be laggy would it be a decent upgrade i know exhaust and manifold will need to either be fabed or moded but i got mtes who could probley help me out what you guys think. im looking at it as a turbo upgrade would be over $2000 with all fittings so i can basically get the turbos for nothing aslong as i use them and they have 3 inch pipes off them aswell only problem i can see is my AFM which i will need to get rid of so aftermarket ECU but going Aftermarket turbo i will require this anyways. is it worth the effort?

ok i have a lil money due to other projects not happening now so i was thinking of upgrading the RB25 in my R33 now i could go out buy a bigger turbo injectors fuel system and ECU or Drop an RB26 in it or Rebuild the RB25 stronger and better or just go for an RB30 using the RB25 head off the already motor. My limit is $8k atm thoughts please.

Well my VLT was tuned By Tony Rigoli so i dont think tune was a prob as he has a pretty good rep. haltech was a brand i know very little about and i also talked to a few people today and they said Autronic another said Wolf 3D (which i havnet heard of for years)and yer thats nisstune thing i asked about it apperntly i have to use a R32ECU AFM z32 TPS and CAS aswell thats what i was told correct me if this info is wrong. i was also told i can have a full ECU in there and but also use my Factory ECU aswell??? Yews the E1280 is what i was looking at.. Vipec i have never heard of some info would be great.
