Hi had a look on G35Driver, no promises, but this might help - maybe check your engine oil? This may sound silly, but check the oil. I had the same problem. There is a bulletin out for this problem from Infiniti. Topped off the oil and it was fine. This actually led me to find out that my 03 was burning 1 quart ever 600 miles! I have pasted the bulletin. And another thing... you cannot do a simple valve adjust on these motors. You must remove the cams and lifters which alone is roughly 15 hours flat rate. So in conclusion check your oil level! Classification: EM06-006a Reference: ITB06-023a Date: January 24, 2008 APPLIED VEHICLES: All 1997 2008 with Variable Valve Timing APPLIED ENGINES: VQ35; VH41, VK45; VK56 IF YOU CONFIRM The MIL is on with any of the following DTCs stored: ^ P0011, P0014, P0021, P0024, P1110, P1135, NOTE : The engine may also have Camshaft Sprocket rattle noise and/or other engine noise. ACTION Do Not replace the variable valve timing Solenoid Valve or the Sprocket(s) without performing the complete diagnostics indicated in the EC section of the Service Manual. The first steps in the complete diagnostic are to make sure the: ^ Engine oil is at the operating level; add oil if needed. Refer to the Service Manual for low oil level diagnoses if needed. ^ Oil pressure is normal when measured with a gauge at the pressure switch port. Refer to the Service Manual for low oil pressure diagnoses if needed.

Hi Guys Does anybody know the diff ratio on the 2003 350GT-8?

Hi I converted one I bought cheap off Meena to a 5 speed auto (for the wife). It was a lot of work! It is almost perfect. There ia a manual conversion kit on Japanese Yahoo for approx $3000 plus getting it here. Lots of work to convert. Why muck around when you have just bought it and it is under warranty, keep all the pressure on the dealer, otherwise it will cost you heaps. Make lots of noise...... Ask to get out of it as it is obviously faulty..... Go to fair trading..... Hope this helps

Oz I am also working on replacing my 03 BOSE head deck if you are interested. Regards Andrew

Could You Use A G35 Usa Computer In The V35?
CeffyNSW replied to V35 Matt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I have a US ecu in my 2003 sedan, part of the conversion from 8 speed to 5 speed auto. Type 1 It runs well, good fuel efficiency no pinging. Have not checked on a dyno though. Need to also think about pollution control differences, my engine light is always on due to not having fuel vapor control. Eventually will find someone to turn it off. Being 2003 model, only had to get the security number from Nissan. May be bigger issues with later models. Hope this helps. -
Yeh that connects to a thermstat that measures the temperature of the air con air as it passes (the hose contains air con air). The climate control then adds or subtracts heat based on this. If it is disconnected it obviously tells the system it is cold and thus the system directs the air through the heater on its way to the cabin. Wow started this post when there wasn't any other replyies!

Have looked into this a bit It depends what you what to do with it. Most, including Blazt, can only look at the engine. Have a look at this one on US ebay, they advertise if you pay extra to upgrade you can look at transmission, body, air bags..... But it is going to cost you over $500 for all the functions. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT or http://www.autoenginuity.com/index.html Hope this helps

And I thought you would be asking for advice on the car, problems....Just a thought What are you buying? Be careful if it is a GT-8 sedan, see all the posts.

Another Windscreen Question
CeffyNSW replied to CeffyNSW's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Thanks for the response, much appreciated. Thought that might be the case. The site has been off line all day, so must have had a problem and yesterday's posts were lost. -
One of the windscreen suppliers have asked if the current windscreen has an internal aerial? Have had a look at mine and can not see any signs of one. Hoping someone knows. Thanks

Anyone Need A New 5spd Auto?
CeffyNSW replied to n15m0's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
If you look at the box being advertised you can see there are no wires coming out of it and you might be abble to see it has a connector. Thus the 05 model. Earlier models have wires coming out of the box. -
Anyone Need A New 5spd Auto?
CeffyNSW replied to n15m0's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Guys Note there are different 5 speed autos, this is a 2005 model, with tcm inside the box. Earlier models have the tcm in the passenger kick pannel. Think you will find they are all RE5R05A. -
No there should be no change as the ABS sensors are on the wheel side of the diff.
-
Some comments I put a new front coupling on my diff and the shaft is bigger than the R32/R33 ones, just makes me question compatability. Z32 is an R230 so incompatable. Would also be cautious with changing the ratio with the auto, need to check if this would impact anything with the auto output shaft comparison with ABS signal within the transmission computer. Hope this is helpful.
