  1. Plenty of work to do in my backyard
  2. Oh yeah, that was Anthony. I think they even tried numbering them so each one was unique.... lol. And, now that I think about it, there might be one of those stickers on one of the R32's I bought recently. I'll have a look sometime.
  3. Majority arrive around 9:30. leave about 11:30.
  4. lol, Just do it. Vote or list or whatever means nothing here. Just do the work or make the decision. Post up when/if things are ready. If it's good, it will populate. I'm pretty sure Richard has been part of this forum as long as I have (around 2004?), and this thought of thing has come up a number of times. Someone will start a topic like this, a few other guys would join and do some work, then people would get bored and/or leave. CAMS is just crap. I'm about to try to deal with them this week and I'm not looking forward to it. I know our local representatives do a lot of work but I also rarely see them. It is not necessary for them to be administering every event that we want to do. On NissanSilvia.com, they did try to run event organisors for each state, it failed horribly in ACT. The best thing to do is what Richard did recently; Start a Thread with all the details and go regardless if only 1 other person says they will turn up. I am happy with "Team Canberra" with SAU NSW membership. We stand out enough compared to the other states. Our number plates are another thing that give us away.
  5. Hahaha, yeah, we ar.........
  6. As Richard said, we're too slack. And it's a waste of time. Admin - There is no advantage in becoming CAMS registered for ACT only. There is a lot of work to setup and maintain. Just look at the work that is involved in some of the stuff we do here already. Discounts - Canberra is small enough to already have mates rates anyways and we already pay way more than we should for parts (it's great if you're selling). I don't think a club is necessary for discounts. Attendance - Friday night is a mix of different groups. They are not all SAU. You'll notice that people that attend SAU events can be a different bunch of people. You don't feel like you belong to a group already? I'm pretty sure you can design your own SAU ACT logo if you like. And people would like if someone did organise events if that is something you would do. I was involved heavily with the R31 Skylineclub. I organised events, moderated the forum, created logos and a banner. While there was a bunch of enthusiastic people involved I was happy to do it but while it wasn't difficult, it did consumed so much of my time. After those people moved on or left, I had no motivation. There was no benefit to me so I moved on as well to do other things. The atmosphere on here is starting to increase again but I think it's still a while for us to be a registered club. This forum/friendship group should be enough for the time being. I'm sure it will evolve if the group grows and people become more involved. The only reason I am a NSW member is because it was cheaper to attend a track day SAU had organised. I think it was so much so that membership was free. I was still apart of another car club and I'm pretty sure I will do the same thing with other clubs if events are cheaper.
  7. And because it isn't for widescreen, one monitor looks like this:
  8. Cheapest to look on Forums/Facebook. You can repair them, depending how much work you can do will make it cheaper.
  9. I'm just about to head out. I was going to bing a heater but I fell asleep.
  10. Natrad in Phillip did mine for me (both making and knurling). Fyshwick Exhaust/Notaras Motorsport have a machine now as well.
  11. Thermal tape? At Autopro?
  12. Sorry Rob, I didn't make it out to you last night. I'll be in Tuggeranong tonight, for those that would like to pick up or I can take them out to the Friday night meet.
  13. Dunlop is pretty far west. PM me your address and I'll see how I go for time. Also, all the calendars are sold (I forgot to count myself).
  14. I'm going to be heading up Northside this evening. I can drop off to who ever pre-paid.
  15. Yep, I bought 10. 8 Are pre-sold.
  16. I accidentally deleted my footage from the weekend. That would have been exciting to watch haha. Also, if you have a GoPro's on the outside of a car, we normally put tissues or foam to over the mics in the housing.
  17. Calendars are here. I only have 1-2 left now.
  18. I think I will now. Sydney trip was canceled. Oh, and Friday night meets haven't stopped for a few a years. Only bad rain or extreme cold keeps people away.
  19. Good news, it ended up being cheaper when I ordered it. $15 each so I will be giving a $10 refund to people who have paid. Because of the price, I was able to get a couple more.
  20. If you don't have an inspection report or if the car has been out of rego for more than 12 months, you are only supposed to be able to get a 0(1) day permit. Some people have talked their way into a long time. The inspection report they ask for is if it failed but was not dangerous to drive, you can apply for a longer permit. And on the other hand, if it failed and was dangerous to drive, you can only get a single day.
  21. I printed a couple of photos out that I was a little worried about and they turned out fine. I'm going to make a couple of minor edits but otherwise I'll just get this printed. I plan to be at the Friday night meet tonight, otherwise I'll PM you about deposit details.
