  1. If I didn't go for a high flow, i'd get a KKR. They're not ball bearing turbo but they did say they would warranty track use. Otherwise a ballbearing turbo, they're expensive but they are soo much nicer. Unfortunately, no warranty for track use (if they find out). I bought a pair of R32 wheels for $60-80, i forget. I wouldn't pay more than $200. 2nd hand tyres are generally free to $10. If they want money for the tyres, check the age, if it's been weathered and the brand. Don't know how much coilovers would be worth, depends what you get. Becareful with 2nd hand, make sure you check the shocks are not blown or leaking. Check joints for noise/seizing. I would pay around $600 for second hand. New HSD's are around $1400-1500. SAFC, isn't too bad, but doesn't compare againsts a full computer. You could even get a nistune chip tuned for the higher boost you run, what ever you set it at.
  2. Turbo rebuild, goto Cooma diesel in Fyshwick. I got mine done there and I plan to take another on to them for a high flow. Rims are too expensive in Canberra. People ask way to much but you might find a bargain, just keep your eye out. Other stuff, best to get from interstate or order it. Most stuff in Canberra has a mark up. There is a IDA Drift Day in May. I will post details up soon, as there is a lack of number to keep drift events happening close to Canberra. I am also in the process of building a R32 drift car. Drifts okay, ask people about it, but the biggest problem is steering lock. Easy option to overcome this is to buy a 180, but then you'll be stuck with a nasty SR (sounds like it's farting as well).
  3. I'm organising the R31 Skyline Club 'entry'(?). You guys are more than welcome to join us, I will be emailing Wheels tomorrow.

  5. Som said he will bring out his GTR as the GTS-X is currently out of rego.
  6. Lol, yeh. I'm wondering what my times would progress to be like because I'm not really interested in timed events and it's going to be a drift car.
  7. Not me, everyone pissed off real early. Plus the show ground wasn't very photo friendly. The other thing was, everyone floored it when they saw me taking pictures.......... i don't think they want photos...
  8. BTW, i've entered. Going to see if i can set this as a bench mark before I start modifying the dirty two.
  9. I've been out there, wasn't allowed on the track . It's not steep but it is more of a hill than in the videos.
  10. So far I plan to be there.
  11. Kinda cool, but i would have thought i would be fairly short for a touge type battle. I think this track would suit a hill climb with a reverse layout.
  12. I hope so. My car is still lacking a Gearbox . I'll have to take the daily......
  13. I just read on NS.com that a White R33 got stolen.... http://nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=369144
  14. There seems to be a misunderstanding about the thread. The way I read it, was not about excluding people from events or the community, just THE SAU display (what ever that is).
  15. Cool, would be cool to see another R31 drifting. I was only going to wreck it cos i need bits for my other R31 . I've got a RB25 in my R32 as well, rev so nice but not as torque-y as the RB30.
  16. Might be going to watch drifting at Oran Park on the Monday. Free every other day.
  17. Ok, i'll start - $1k.
  18. I hope i'm not rocking the boat but.... The Skylines Australia display should be made primarily of Skylines. SAU is a Skyline enthusiast club/community and we should display the Skylines of Skylines Australia together with pride. I'm not suggesting that we ask/tell people not to come, just that a organised display would make a big impact on the public. Something like "Wow, check out all the skylines lined up in a row, so neat (or something)", instead of "Oh look, there's a skyline, and over there another GTR". Also, it doesn't need to be to extreme on the non-skyline cars. Maybe start to mix up towards the outside (?), so it doesn't affect the primary (?) display (*that sentence doesn't sound clear). The other thing is, this is not a SAU event. It is being organised by ACT Motor club and Everyone is invited and everyone can park freely (to a certain extent I believe). If SAU did organise this event, they might be able to make this type of decision and kindly ask people if they can park in a different area. Anyway, up to you guys...
  19. Yeh, i'm going. Received 20 or so emails about this........
  20. Import skylines only! Those Aus ones arn't real skylines...
  21. I got mine in Canberra but the person I got it off, had to get it delivered from Melbourne. I remember Farad from Jap Spec Garage had a few. Haven't heard about him lately.
  22. Yeh, i'm thinking about it. Doing 1 proper run in the stock form just to see the time difference after some light mods.
  23. Next Hill Climb is 8 March right?
  24. I'm guessing GTR is significantly different... I did have a GTST one, it might be in my rubbish pile if you want it.
