New comers are very welcome, alot of people have started drifting by attending one of these Practice days. On another note, if you want to see more drift happen closer to Canberra/Goulburn, please come out to watch or enter. The more interest, the more often these are likely to happen. Previously, the club loses money due to poor turnout every time a Wakefield day is held.
  8. I'll be out. Going to check out the museum first....
  9. Yes..
  10. I have one, in tuggeranong, send me a pm or send me an email on [email protected].
  11. I think it's defectable because it has not been engineered/approved for the car. Something like, the bonnet meets ADR specifications but the modification of the car has not been passed by an engineer and ACT Roads.
  12. The problem was, there was no lamb! I do think some of the guys doing the burnouts have a little skill(or a lot of luck). Spinning around with little visibility and not hitting the wall would be difficult.
  13. Yeh, Motorex was cool... i think because it was free and didn't cost $60!!! Really want to check out Powercruise but it always seems to clash. More Drift in Canberra would be the Best thing tho
  14. AutoSalon (in Australia) = Yawn. After seeing an international Auto Show overseas it really makes things dull here, and the one I went to was supposedly quite!
  15. I'd double check your gear first before you get started. I run heaps of camber on the front of my car, never seen tire bits on the back of my car due to this (burnouts/drifting more likely was the cause for me ). I have had heaps of tyre bits in the wheel arches at one stage, it was rubbing with guards and body of the car. Anyway, i'm pretty sure the place you went to was the same my R32 was taken to get "Suspension Checked" before I bought it. They gave it the "good condition" tick(whatever) but when I checked the suspension, it had worn shocks and/or bushes.
  16. might see you there....
  17. I wonder where you get those thing! I had a quick look around last week because I wanted to wear them drifting!
  18. Interested too... Is it vented? Pics please!
  19. You've been using too much of this:
  20. I may go, might take my own route just incase I get itchy....
  21. Yeh, my rb25 (supposedly) has been putting out 236rwkw for over 1 year. I've only had it for a few months, but from what alot of people has said, they're not an overly strong engine. When it does blow, I'm doing the RB25/30 conversion straight away.
  22. More performance = less reliability, that why stock is lower performance. Still, replacing the turbo while the engine is out is probably only a 20min job.
  23. I reckon I could get the conversion done in one weekend (using stock gearbox). That's what I did, not quite one weekend because I had a modified loom (that was a nightmare). All the RB20 stuff lines up, so it is not necessary to change anything. Don't bother doing work to the 25, it'll just break quicker. Keep it stock until your ready to do an RB25/30. Regarding pricing, I would think it's worth around 4-5k as is, more if you have it in pieces. - RB25DET, $1000 to $2000 (more around the $2000 mark). - RB25 Gearbox $1000 to $1500 (I don't think it's worth this much, around $700 is what I would be happy to pay for it). - Plus the rest of the stuff, diff/interior/etc Also, I would recommend removing this thread or talk about the accident until after all the legal stuff is sorted!
  24. Have you got a pic of the Window motor? I'm not sure if it's the same as the R32 but it maybe the same, in which case I have one.
