  9. Lol, I doubt timing would make a difference. I haven't heard of many peoples car being "finished/ready". They seem to come out every few months anyways. I reckon just go out, check out peoples rides, get involved with the car scene, whatever. ON MY CAR... I've gotto weld on a new rear quarter, front rail and radiator support, paint job, install a rb26 engine(or rb30det), turbo, exhaust, computer, interior, 2nd paint job and dyno tune... but oh well... 2010 would be much better for me....
  10. It's May, I got super excited and wrote the wrong thing!

  12. Most workshops do "test" cars because they don't have the tool/equipment(Dyno, road shock simulator, etc) to test them while stationary. Some particular problems may only arise when the car is pushed a little bit, but they normally don't do anything to excessive. You should probably send a letter explaining that you were not in possession of your car that day, and it was being service at the workshop. You should probably also write a letter to the workshop, of what has happened and what you want them to do. I know a few mechanics, and the good ones do test drive cars for problems. Generally I would stay away from dealer workshops as my mate have told me stories about fleet cars they have "TESTED", but they are softer a average persons car.
  13. http://www.driftaustralia.com.au/news.asp?newsitem=158 Backed by Toyo, with $1500 for 1st prize. They also have a encouragement award from HSD/Otomoto of $500. I might enter, if not I might be pit crew for someone else. I heard John Wilson is not very consistent, but I've never personally dealt with him.
  14. I think they are talking about the street rides one.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=166770
  15. Just a quote from www.popularmechanics.com , just incase you don't believe me. The only other thing is where you tested the voltage. Could be the terminal clamps are loose or the leads are not conducting enough current. If it is the starter motor, try giving it a tap with a hammer or metal pole, but it sounds to me that it is trying to turn over.
  16. Your battery should have more than 12v. It should read high 12's/low 13's. Under 12v is no good. So, I'm guessing your battery is flat. Did you try jumping it? How old is the battery?
  17. hmm, i forgot about this thread... Top stuff is R31 gear, Each section after that has what ever car they were from. RB30e Extractors were sold ages ago.
  18. It costs the same price to go to Dickson or any other place for a RWC. If the workshop accepts your car and does the RWC, there is no reason to goto Dickson unless the RTA wants something more. I have read on the RTA ACT website and it does say all imports must go through dickson, although a lot have not. If the guy your buying it off gets a inspection done other than Dickson, you take it back to there in 1month to get it passed. The workshop should have never taken the responsibility for inspecting the car if they were not allowed to.
  19. It should be on youtube soon. DA have started posting each round on there. Results have been up for ages, but the funny thing is that on the Official Drift Australia site, it's wrong. It was a shit round tho, Bolger wasn't drift battling anyone and should have been disqualified.
  20. Kwyjibo.... Tom(drift majik's mate) took his GTR to kambah and got the inspection done there. He did need to go to Dickson to get a ID check, I'm not sure if this is because it is a import or/and it had NSW plates on it before. And... If that guy does fail the RWC, you have upto 1 month to fix it and take it back to get it passed. So basically, it should pass where ever he takes it too. If it's to dickson, they'll write you whats wrong like every other place.
  21. Hehe, yeh, your right.... Anyways, last time it was $35, I think, for the weekend. AND, If you wanna get gee'd up for the action, Round 2 is on SBS tomorrow(Sunday May 6) at 12:00noon.
  22. Spectator entry or Super Drift Entry? Who cares really? Are you gonna turn around at the gate and go home?
  23. I'll be there the whole weekend. Go Easto with the mighty 31!!!
  24. I don't think you want a rb20 turbo, they are tiny T25 turbos. RB25 turbo's are t28, probably the smallest you want to go, but are still small. I've seen a t04 with a t3 flange for $250 I think.
