  1. Ah apparently not i am still getting intermittent beeps. Not sure what it might be now.....
  2. Wow awesome work! Thanks so much for all your efforts. I will try it and see how i go!
  3. Hmm ok interesting point. Could be a reason why. Beep appears to be coming from the centre console also. I will see what i can do with the servicing, as i think i have a translated manual in my glovebox.
  4. Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has any idea why i keep getting a fairly load, high pitched, one second long beep originating from my head unit somewhere at randoms intervals? I have a 2003 V-35 350GT Sedan and my cd player is cactus like majority (CD Err F0) so i use the AUX IN on the Bose headunit/tv box. I dont get any messages pop up on my display when it happens and i have no lights illuminated on my dash. I have even tried it with the Navigation DVD inserted but that made no difference. It seems to appear a bit more after i have driven for 1/2 hour or so. Is it some sort of alarm or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Laine
  5. Edit - Moved to V-Series Folder
  6. $9500 Would like to sell this by the end of the month so let me know if you are interested
  7. The AV out plugs into the tv tuner box in the boot. Basically the three RCA cables you see there are what would be the result if you were to follow the AV input forum thread (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/diy-Put-A-v-Input-350g-t184366.html) or buy the plug and play option from Chris.
  8. Hi All, Just got my iPod all hooked up and working properly through the stock screen using one of Chris Rogers AV plug's and a DLO Tunedock from Dick Smith for $130. The dock itself has an AV out socket, a usb power socket and an AUX in socket as well as doing all the usual things such as power your iPod and transmit via FM to your radio if you want to. Compatable with pretty much all iPods too! Here are a couple of pics of the set up, components and one of it running. I am pretty impressed with the picture quality as i was certain it was going to be really grainy, but in the end it was pretty decent. All i did was use a program to convert the video for the ipod at 640x480 and make sure the frame rate was at around 29 fps for NTSC output. Also i guess the NTSC out on the iPod is handy also. Bonus was that Chris solved my mystery switch on my dash problem and lets just say that 5km/h isnt a problem anymore
  9. Worked out last night its a bypass switch to play vids while moving Handy seen as i just got my iPod working on it yesterday! Will be posting some pics of the approach i took. Similiar to most, just that i used a different iPod dock which is currently available at Dick Smith.
  10. *********PRICE DROP********* $10000 FIRM
  11. Thanks for that, sorry to cover old ground but now i know for sure! Cheers
  12. Ok guys one quick question regarding the head units being used. In order to get the right input to the monitor (i.e. NTCS signal) are you using a US dvd player or some headunit that has NTSC out capability available here in Aus? Ive noticed a couple of said units available through Nesavision but they dont really do it for me and look a little boring. My thought was to look at getting hold of a headunit from the US and hooking that up. Would there be any problems with doing this? From what i can see radio band frequencies are all similiar and the only difference would be the regionality of the DVD i guess?
  13. My R32 Gts-t is still for sale, now at $10500 with rego until august now. Check it out further at: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...80#entry3515380 Laine

  15. Ok fair enough. I was just trying to take the easy option and just remove the nav unit and replace it with a DVD unit and attach that to the aux input mentioned in the other thread. Pretty much the same as what you did! Never mind, might just have to look at taking the same approach when the time comes....
  16. Hi Chris, Awesome work, im looking at doing something similiar myself in the future when i find the patience!! One quick question, does the car operate without the OEM Nav unit installed?? If it is unplugged does it have a hissy fit? Cheers Laine
  17. Hi Frank, Any chance of re-uploaing the images for us as it looks like some have gone walkies and i want to see a few bits that are missing? Cheers Laine
  18. Hehe, nah it has a push button release on the boot handle! Good old manual opening never hurt anyone......
  19. Well i am unfortunately a shmuck who does not have a boot release That and cruise control are the only two things i want on the car i dont have as yet. The button that says auto is the one that automatically lowers my two side mirrors to point towards the ground when i select reverse. It is good and bad that function as sometimes it doesnt help at all!!
  20. Hi all, I am a little bit curius about a switch on my '03 V35 Sedan. It sits to the right of the "VDC Off" button and is connected to something in behind the panel where the DVD-ROM drive for the GPS sits. Does anyone have any idea what it does?? Is it something to do with the optional card reader thingy that some cars have? I have some pictures if that helps
