Yes, the amp only has 1 mono input. I've tried your method by just using the left output from the headunit and so far it works fine. Thanks for the input

Hi all Just about to install 2 x 12"MTX subs powered by monoblock amp with mono input. My question is: the subwoofer output from my Alpine headunit (CDA 7894) is stereo (L+R channels). If I combined both sub outputs (left & right, + with +; - with -), will this short my headunit as this is technically short-circuiting both channels Your input is appreciated Cheers, DD

Anyone has any experience using this tyre? Tried to search on this forum, but couldn't find a thing. Probably because this is is not a very popular tyre. I got a quote for $250 each for 265/35/18 - seems like a good price. Would this be a better choice compared to Hankook K104? I am not a big fan of Dunlop. Had a bad experience before using SP8000 - cost a fortune, absolutely sh!t grip and lasted for only 15,000kms. Any opinions will be appreciated Thanks DD

A question to those who has 265/35/18 rear tyres fitted to their R33 GTST. Would it fit to the rear guard without having it lipped? Next question, my rear rims are 18"x8.5". Would 265 be way too wide for the rims? Thanks for the input!

Actually back in the old days when I used to own a Toyota Paseo (I know... a good sport car pretender) I did around 210 in 'private road' and the max speed on the speedo is 180... after that the speedo went beserk, like keep vibrating and jumping up and down. Brought it back to Toyota dealer and was told that the cable might have been damaged. Anyway, 210 in shitty little 1.5L engine is not bad huh? It has full 5Zigen super border exhaust and aftermarket air filter though

Not that I am suggesting anyone has tried this on open road, but does anyone know if standard speedo will snap if the car is driven over 180? I heard with other cars if you drive beyond the speed displayed in the speedo, the cable will snap. Any opinion?

Just recently done a muffler checkup as my R33 GTST has been making rattling noises in certain RPM (around 1500 - 3000rpms). Found out that the middle muffler is stuffed big time... the internals have been shredded. My HKS Hiper catback muffler is in fact less than 1 year old.... what the??? Brought the car to HiTech muffler and get the middle muffler replaced for $320 (ouch). I was told that the muffler was destroyed because my car often misfires. Is this right? Strange though after replacing the middle muffler, the car does not misfire anymore (although rarely it still does). Any correlation between misifiring and damaging muffler? I would expect my cat converter to get stuffed before any damage to middle muffler. In fact the cat converter is still looking healthy. Any opitions appreciated! D

After market 18" rims. If any, where would this 'hidden' nuts be located?

I kicked the crap out of the wheel until the jack was a bit shaky... any more kicking may drop the jack, hence break my legs.... :wassup: I had also sprayed some wd40 to loosen any rusts, but did not help.

I have a problem removing the wheels on my R33. I did the usual loosening the nuts, jack the car and unscrew all the 5 nuts, but... the wheel simply did not come off. What the....??? It seems the wheel somehow got welded to the car. I thought that the mags may be rusty and stuck but a month a go I just had full wheel balancing, ie, all the 4 wheels were removed completely. Anyone have any idea? Any 'magic button' I need to press to get the wheels off? BTW, I just had my R33 for a month. Any helps appreciated :ufo:

Hi guys. Just wondering if you know why my R33 is making grinding noise when the clutch is fully pressed. This occurs especially in the morning or whenever the engine is cold. I can feel the vibration through the gearknob. But once the car is warm enough, ie, after 2-5 mins, the noise disappear. Spoke to a mechanic and was told that it could be the springs aroundthe clutch are worn and should not cause any problem as long as the clutch is still biting. The clutch still feels very tight & biting,. Any idea? I just bought the car last month, so I don't know the service history. Any help is appreciated Thanks
