  1. Welcome. Always good to hear from another OG Nissan member.
  2. Is that your car? cause it looks beautiful. these factory red nismo kitted cars are rare. even back in days most were either white, silver or black. The nismo mesh grille periodically pops up on yahoo auctions. but the "r32" style is almost impossible to find.
  3. As others have mentioned it's most likely the Nismo package option. I do remember many years ago there was a guy on this forum who owned a Nismo optioned gunmetal grey series 1. it was a Nismo pre-production concept car which was set to be a GTS25t equivalent of the 400R. it was pulled from the assembly line and never made it. it was only discovered from official nissan marketing material left in the boot.
  4. Welcome Back to SAU from a 4 year hiatus lol?
  5. I believe you're referring to the factory option A-LSD which isn't easy nor worth to retrofit. If I could recall back in the days the R34 Series 2 Helical LSD (R200H) was a popular upgrade. not sure about fitment, diff ratios etc so maybe someone whose more knowledgeable can chime in?
  6. https://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/er34/3952-rb25det/electric/260/#260-_005 Use the diagram explorer and see if the part you need can be purchased on it's own.
  7. I suspect it's because you're in NT. local buyers in sydney can just choose pickup. yeah RHD price is consistent. they offer consolidation free of charge and don't overcharge on shipping.
  8. Damn 4 months is ridiculous. and I thought my 10 week wait in february took a long time. I've noticed the only advantage with using Amayama is with large oversized items which would be costly using international shipping.
  9. Shannons won't even insure me. apparently lock up garage is mandatory and carport inside the property behind a secured gate is not good enough.
  10. Not sure if you've fixed your issue but i'll post this anyway. I managed to sort out my starting issue by wire brushing the engine bay fuse box positive/negative terminal contact plate.
  11. What a bummer. I'm dumbfounded by the lack of competence from Canadian workshops. R32s were eligible since mid 2000s and nobody there knows how to build one?
  12. You could take advantage of the current yen drop. 1 AUD = 91.4c JPY. RHDJAPAN is selling for ¥65,598. https://www.rhdjapan.com/oem-public-page/?brand=Nissan&partnumber=92110-04U02
  13. Not sure if this is related. I recently had a issue with the car not starting randomly. starter motor clicks but no cranks. did the all the usual troubleshooting steps with no luck. the only way to start was via jump starting with another battery. The issue resolved itself when i reverted the ECU back to stock whilst fixing another unrelated problem. This had got me scratching my head. Would love to get a second opinion.

  15. I'd avoid brushes as it leaves streak marks. rattle can should do the job. i recommend matte over gloss as it retains a low sheen for much longer.
  16. AFAIK you can't replace only the rubber seal you need to buy the entire corner piece assembly. LHS is discontinued & RHS is available under a new part # H0220-22U00. Is that you Nissan Scam Program?? I've had great results restoring the rubber using a black vinyl dye product called Forever Black.
  17. No only fits Series 1 ('93 - '95). Also it's not a repair kit but a lens replacement.
  18. not at all. very easy. you first remove the soft rubber door seals held on by push pins. this exposes the retainer. it comes off in one long piece after you remove the screws. from there, measure gap. take off. bend. put back test fit etc until desired fitment. reinstall. done.
  19. hey mate. the rubber weather strip is attached to the metal retainer and it should sit flush. mine had gaps all over on both sides. so i measured the difference, took them off then bend it back with a hammer dolly set.
  20. I got a toyota alphard coming in which landed over month ago. still waiting for it to be released. reason- "scheduled to be cleaned" even thought it was already cleaned in j-land. ridiculous!
  21. thanks for looking out brother. sorry about late reply. had a slight hiatus from this forum. yeah message definitely looks sus.
  22. hi if anyone still has r33 series 2 coupe front seats stashed away in their garage send me a message. i'll come pick it up. cheers
  23. You can still import a decent condition R33 GTR for 40 - 50k providing you are using a broker not a dealer. It all depends on how fastidious you are. a mutual friend of mine bought in a series 3 auction graded R/C for 42k about 4 months ago. motor and running gear in excellent condition. just needs some touch up on two panels and interior work.
  24. I've also got the a-lsd on my '97. never really noticed the diff. probably because i've never taken it to the tracks. If it ever starts causing problems do you think it's better to get a modern KAAZ 1.5 SUPER Q or keep it? the torque split / pump device is apparently 4.5k brand new from nissan.
  25. good stuff buddy. our cars are 20+ years and will definitely need some rust work eventually. personally i'm more concerned about underbody rust.
