  1. I actually think that looks pretty hot. I'd put it on my back window.
  2. I've got HSD's as well. had them for over a year now. Really happy with them. Only complaints are that my left front has a small leak (out of warrenty now) and i think the fronts are a little under dampened for the 8kg springs. You can feel the front bouncing up and down, it just can't handle it. This is on the softest setting btw, which is what i use for the street, if you stiffen the dampening a bit it improves a little, but then you need a new back after a while. This is why i'm going to buy a set of softer springs for them for the street. Eventually i'll get them re-valved with better dampening.
  3. Is it second hand or brand new? Negotiable?
  4. Do we know which countries released the Cefiro as an actual local model (not a low volume import). As these cars probably would have had different speedos as they would have come out of the nissan factory as exports as opposed to a local release (like most of ours are).
  5. Is the BM44 from a R32 or R33? How difficult is it to change? I've never atempted it before. Also with installing the R32 front brakes, is the fitting for the lines the same as the Cefiro or will i need to get the different fittings like i do for the rear?
  6. Thanks for the info guys. I think i'll upgrade it at the same time. Don't want to have to do it twice.
  7. Hi guys I'm about to upgrade my pathetic RB20e brakes on the ceffie with some R32 gear. My question is, will the master cylinder be up to the job? Is it unit on an originally RB20e powered cefiro the same as that on an RB20det powered R32 or will i have to upgrade that as well?
  8. WANTED: Autech rear bar for cefiro. PM or 0402 266 755
  9. Yeah thats what i was thinking too. Aren't there a few people on this board from SE Asia with Ceffies? Perhaps they could shed some light on this. (And send us all one).
  10. Going for the stealth look I see (black cooler). Looks good. looking forward to seeing the finished product.
  11. You need to change driveshafts beacuse an R200 diff is wider than an R180. There is no consistancy with the 6 bolt 5 bolt thing. I've seen R180 and R200s with either. Though i thought it was usually 6 bolts for an R180.
  12. Is it an R180 or R200? Was it converted from RB20E or RB20DE? Reason I ask is that mine was originally RB20E and came with a R180 open diff (3x2 bolts). Not much point in getting an lsd centre for that. if so i'd upgrade to an R200 with the thicker drive shafts. if it was a DE then its probably an R200.
  13. For sale R32 stock turbo Never boosted while i've owned the car and the enigne was completely stock when i got it. Don't know how many kays b/c of engine swap. No shaft play at all No actuator Looking for $250 Location Sydney (Parramatta) PM or call me on 0402 266 755
  14. Ando - RB25 S1 coilpacks are the same as RB20. S2 are different. Did you buy the Splitfires for the RB25? I thought you said it was a S2 engine.
  15. Great to hear mate. We'll have to have a NSW meet when you get it back on the road. I think i'm going to be very jelous!! Wish i could afford mods Maybe if stuff stopped breaking on my car (last month air con compressor, last week alternator and coil packs on the way out) then i'd be able to afford some. Oh yeah and I now need 4 new tyres for rego next month becuase I keep lighting them up around corners (first rwd car so i'm 17 all over again)
  16. Ando I reckon the difference in purchase cost of the 1J to the RB25 may be eatern away by the cost of install and the aftermarket engine management. But even if its the same i'd still go the 1J because when you want more power it will be a lot cheaper. And if you want decent power in an RB25 you need an aftermarket ECU anyway... Plus it would be worth it for when you pop your bonnet and someone goes "WTF!" Though if it were me i'd still go 25/30. Especially since you can use most of your original hardware to begin with.
  17. DO IT!! I was actually going to suggest it but didn't for fear of flamming. Drift Battle magazine is actually going 1J in their S13 project car. Why not email ben ellis and ask him about it. They are going to use twin turbos, those cheap KKR turbos, the smallest ones. Their goal is 280rwkw at a reasonable. boost level. you will need aftermarket ECU like a microtech etc. And you don't need to touch the internals.
  18. If they are non-turbo brakes then they should be CA18DET at the front.
  19. I would of thought it would be less laggier. Though i think the KKR480 would be better suited. I think Otomoto state they have gotten 260rwkw (could be wrong lon this figure) from the 480 on an RB25 neo
  20. I've been looking into this and i reckon it can be done for pretty much the same money as a RB25 swap. As dangerous_daveo said, you can just run the stock bottom end. A few are doing this already. Then get your R32 RB25de head and stiffer valve springs plus all your gaskets and belts etc. Then pay a good engine builder to put it together for you. The best thing is you can use a lot of your RB20 gear at first to keep the costs down. Use the RB20 gearbox, clutch and flywheel (eventually u will need to upgrade it). You can use the stock turbo, inlet and exhaust manifold. You can even run your stock injectors and ECU. And it should even work with the Ceffy loom as your using an R32 head. Then a bit later get a power fc, RB25 gearbox, GTR injectors and decent sized turbo. Then have fun with your 300rwkw and make extra money on the weekends towing houses with the torque. Natually what i've stated is very simplified and there will be other costs, but it should give you some idea. I just reckon that RB25s are quite expensive to start with. Aren't they at least $3k for a front cut?
  21. Ando Why not go an RB30? I've been investigating it myself. makes more sence to me than an RB25. Only trouble is your car would probably be off the road for longer.
  22. I've found out what the second plug is. Its the overheat protection for the compressor. On the Ceffie compressor it was wired before the connector. The R32 it is wired in off the compresor. I just need the R32 wiring diagram and its sorted.
  23. Paid about $180 for mine. Bought them from Yahoo japan for 5000yen. Resst of the money went to shipping and to pay the guy that got them for me.
