  1. I've already posted in the parts wanted section but i thought i'd post here too. On the weekend I installed an RB25 turbo. Little did i know that the outlet pipe to the intercooler is a different size. So thats the part i need. The "elbow" that bolts onto the turbo and goes to the intercooler. I also need the the stock intercooler piping from an RB25. Just the part with the nipple on it so i can hook the hose up to the actuator. James said he might have this part, so i might not need it just yet. So due to this my car is off the road and i'm forced to drive a volvo to work...
  2. Still need this part. If nobody has one, does anyone know where i could get one? Anywhere but Nissan. I haven't called to see how much, but i'm all out of first borns.
  3. Do you have the elbow off the turbo?
  4. Just put an RB25 turbo onto my RB20. Didn't realise the outlet to the intercooler is a different size. If anyone has this "elbow" that they don't need i'd greatly appreciate it. This is the part that bolts to the outlet of the turbo with 3 bolts. It is the first piece of the intercooler piping. Sydney preferred. Got the part, thanks everyone who responded.
  5. GTST Cheers for that, exactly what i needed to know. Think i'll drill and tap the intercooler pipe. As i don't want to take the turbo off again. Hopefully i can get a second hand "elbow" as i'd hate to think what they are new from nissan.
  6. Anyone? I know lots of people have done this conversion. Surely they have run into the same problem.
  7. Guys I've just put an RB25 turbo on my RB20. Though i've run into two problems: The first is the line to the actuator. On the RB20 turbo there is a spot to connect a hose on the comp cover that ran to the actuator. On the RB25 turbo it is not there, its plugged in. So what do i connect the hose from the actuator to? My other problem is the outlet from the turbo. The RB25 outlet is bigger and the holes don't match up. Is it possible and as easy as getting that part from an RB25? The part that is a litle 90 deg bend. Or will the other end be too large to fit into the rubber section of the pipe work? Cheers
  8. Pod filter is new so that should be ok. I think i'll change the fuel filter as i haven't done that yet. carl - which pump are you refering to?
  9. I've seen a thread about this before but can't find it. If anyone can point me in that direction i'd appricate it. Anyway when i drive the car first thing in the morning its fine. But when i go home, it feels very sluggish off boost and you can feel the surge of power when it comes on boost at 3000rpm. Then it does this in every gear. Its very frustrating to drive in traffic, but it usually goes away after ten minutes of driving. Though i've found that it comes back sometimes when on long trips on the hwy. My car sits at around 3000rpm while on the hwy and as it brushes over or under 3000rpm you can feel the transition, its not smooth.
  10. There is always Lake Parramatta. Its pretty secluded, free entry and there are bbqs etc. Its off James Rouse Drive. You get to it via Pennant Hills road. And yeah i'm down for 20th or 21st. Sundays are better though as I usually have house chores and stuff to do on saturdays.
  11. Sounds tough. I'd be careful with the Mine's ECU. They are known to be quite aggressive and not really suitable with our fuel. Put it on a dyno as soon as you can.
  12. I've changed mine from R180 to R200. My R180 was 6 bolt, the R200 5. But this is not always the case!! My mates 180SX has an R200 with 6 bolt half shafts. Best way to identify would be to measure the diff from half shaft to half shaft. The R200 is wider. Hence why you need the different axels, its not just the bolt pattern. R200 axels are thicker and longer than R180. You don't need to do anything to the end of the tail shaft, mine bolted straight on. I still have my R180 sitting in the gararge. Too bad its absolutely worthless. I can measure it for you if you like.
  13. Found this on Yahoo Japan. Looks pretty good. http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h22658587
  14. How difficult is it to change the exhaust housing on an RB25 turbo? I plan to swap it with the same housing. Reason is I can't get the studs out. I've even tried using an easy-out and only managed to snap it off. So this is a last resort. I guess what I want to know is; is it possible at all, and if so, what chance do i have of breaking it completly?
  15. Yeah go ahead.
  16. These are pics I took.
  17. yeah i've got some pics. just got to get them a bit smaller and i'll post them up
  18. Just buy an S13 one from any good jap importer.
  19. I think all turbos came with R200. Only the RB20e came with an open R180. But i stand to be corrected.
  20. cc - neither me nor deviate have that grill. i've got the nostrils one and i have no idea what deviate's is. i don't even think its from a cefiro.
  21. Cheers for the pics Eps. I'll have a look for it on the weekend.
  22. Thornleigh is cool with me. Damn thats early. Don't be too suprised if i turn up in my jammies.
  23. hmm. so there should be a matching green plug somewhere?? It must be near by as there is not much give in the tail lights loom. funny thing is, it was never plugged in in the first place. a picture would be helpful if you can get one.
