  1. Similar thing happened once for me, cause was warped tyre
  2. Just thought Id revive an old thread. I always thought I was on top of the suspension side of things and most of it was all aftermarket or changed out within the last few years. Ive since learned that I had completely forgotten about my subframe bushes and while I haven't yet changed them out (will do soon), im very sure that this is the cause of a large amount of the noise ive been putting up with. Am changing out the diff mounts while im at it.
  3. Looks like a great example, glws
  4. I've tried some things and have got the Bluetooth reader to work somehow. The handheld unit still doesn't, so that's rather frustrating and Im out of ideas, but atleast have that much.
  5. Ive used a bluetooth and also a handheld unit and had the same lack of result with both, so it seems like its the car...
  6. Hi All, OK, its not my Skyline, but rather the daily I need help on today and am getting nowhere with the rest of the internet, so here it goes. I have a 2003 BMW 325i and cannot get my OBD2 reader to talk with the car. I previously used a Bluetooth unit with a phone app that worked in the past. Then when it stopped working I tried different apps with no luck. I then bought a hand held unit (Thzy brand, and no you probably have never heard of it) and it won’t link up either. It tries and eventually shows an error message in connecting. The unit itself works as it gets power from the car and I can check the battery voltage, but that’s it. I’ve checked every fuse for the car and all are fine. The internet also suggested I try unplugging sensors 1 by 1 and trying to connect as this somehow would show a dead sensor and it can connect therefore (don’t know why). I even took the airbox off to get better access to anything that looked like a sensor. No luck there either. Im out of ideas; why wont this thing talk! What else can I try?? Thanks.
  7. The engine did... When i f*cked up putting it back together. Expensive lesson learned there. The gearbox was crunchy in first so thats getting a full refresh
  8. My 33 lacks an engine and gearbox at the moment otherwise would be in 100%. Will have to settle for spectating this one
  9. Looks like the coilovers may be off to a new home, the rest is still up for grabs
  10. Doing a bit of a clean out so have a few things sell on. KTS 6 point FIA Harness - $70 Got it from KTS when I was living in Japan (was my local tuning shop)and have used it maybe a dozen times. Good quality product, but do note that the FIA part of it ran out at the start of 2015 and its manufacture predates the FIA hologram which came into effect from 2013. Here's the link to them on the KTS website, https://www.kts-web.com/product/interior/bb_013.html 2x KTS rear coilovers ECR33 Skyline GTS-T - $99 Have been sitting collecting dust so need to go. Springs were changed from 7 to 5kg to make it better suited to Aussi roads and lower mounts were changed to polyurethane How to Digitally Photograph Cars (book) - $35 incl postage Great book for anyone into shooting cars with digital SLR cameras. Lots of tips, tricks and examples. I used this back when I was freelancing for HPI magazine and it was a great tool for improving my photography skills. New ones on ebay are still going for $70 - $130, so its clearly still in demand Moretti Portable Aircon unit 5kw - $150 Ok, apologies its not car related, but I have no use for it as this house has ducted AC. Bought it approx. 3 years ago and works like new. Snap up a bargain and be ready when summer comes back Located in Melbourne outer eastern suburbs
  11. Ok good to know things all seem fine. So there is nothing specifically causing cyl 4 and 6 to be lower than the rest then? I know if two joining cyl are low it can be head gasket related, but wasnt sure if there is a typical reason for this.
  12. I was wondering why some individual cylinders were different to others in the way my 6 are, for example, and why i can have such a wide spread of pressure over the engine...
  13. So ive done a test at home and got some interesting results. I have some ideas but wanted to get some analysis from everyone as to why my results are like this and causes. I got, front to back 167 160 150 140 157 145 Thoughts? Thanks1524024723762
  14. Great fun and a challenging track; can't wait to come back. A little in car action... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5vkqt3s49A
  15. Washed it last night, just got some final prep today after work
  16. So an extinguisher must be 3 years old or newer unless its been serviced? I thought it was longer...
  17. Whats the min cams licence needed, and is it the same for all the sau track events?
  18. How rare you ask? Search the internet and you will not find a single picture of this wing or a similar wing anywhere! English sites, Japanese sites; its like it never existed! In fact, if you do find a pic, let me know as I really want to see it. So the story behind this. I was wanting a new boot spoiler, searched everywhere and found this on yahoo japan. I mistakenly thought this was a boot spoiler and as the design was what I was after. I paid hundreds to get it imported and delivered only to find out my error. I wasn't planning to get a roof spoiler and so its gotta go. My loss is your gain. The wing itself is in good condition but will need prep and paintwork to restore it and have it looking sweet again. It has a number of bolts on its underside so you would need to drill holes in your roof to fit it and get nuts to match. Item is approx. 97cm wide, 62cm long. If you want your R33 to stand out among the masses, I guarantee no one will have one of these. $70 Prefer pick up east side of Melbourne (but can ship at buyers expense)
