R32 Gtst With Rb25 Conversion
Sheriff Wan replied to Sheriff Wan's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
SOLD -
Location - VIC Phone - 0422 206 869 Price - $12,500 Up for sale is one of the cleanest street cars you will find. I barely get to drive the car anymore as I work in the city. I have owned if for 7 years and was the first owner in Aus. It will be sad to see it go. It is serviced religiously with Motul 300V Chrono every 5,000 kms also gets oil filer and spark plugs changed. 100k service with all necessary parts being replaced along with an Excedy heavy duty clutch when the engine swap was completed. The car has had a full respray and an RB25 conversion including gearbox – just these alone is almost the asking price of the car! It is a pleasure to drive and great on fuel – 400k’s+ per tank. The car has been engineered and is currently registered till late 2011 so there won’t be any issues for the next owner – I can supply all documentation. At this price the car is a steal. Please no timewasters – sorry I am not looking for trades. Happy to answer any questions Exterior - Full respray in VW R32 Deep Pearl Blue (Inside & Out) - GTR Front bar to suit GTSt - Carbon GTR Grill - 17 inch Driftek wheels Handling - Koni Shocks - Apexi Springs - Racebrakes RB74 pads - Front & Rear Strut Braces Interior - GTR Drivers seat - Apexi Boost Gauge - Nismo Urethane Shifter - Sound system 6x9’s etc - Apexi Pen Turbo Timer Engine - RB25DET Conversion with RB25 Gearbox - Apexi Power FC with Hand Controller - Z32 Airflow Meter - HKS 2530 Turbo - Pod Filter - Blitz Return Flow FMIC - Blitz exhaust - Yellow Jacket Coilpacks - Hard silicone intake pipe - Bosch 040 Fuel Pump Other I will also supply (uninstalled) for no extra charges - Standard air box - Standard ECU - Standard AFM - Standard intake pipe - Standard Coilpacks

R33 Gtr, Are My Injectors Maxing At 208awkw?
Sheriff Wan replied to GD51LA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
As mentioned you need to check the flow from the fuel pump - sounds way out - could be a bad connection somewhere? Try the direct earthing trick. My RB25 injectors are making 230... -
Kujotk - I can see your point, but I hardly think if your premiums were calculated on your driving style that 1 or 2 hard brakes would cause an increase... Pretty sure there would be more method to their madness. Either way - this wont be here for a while - so why not use and enjoy your cars while you have them. Stop worrying about what "might" happen.

Wow - that might be the ugliest car Subaru have made to date... It's all been downhill for them after the GC8 model. Did you hear the great news - they now make the STI in Auto!!! <<<< Give me a break... If i were to get a Subaru I'd drive it off a cliff. No offence to anyone - just my opinion.

Forcing Oil Pressure By Disconnecting Cas?
Sheriff Wan replied to mosquitocoils's topic in General Maintenance
Always change your oil once its warm, otherwise youll have a lot remaining as cold oil is thicker and doesnt drain aswell. -
Steering / Cournering Issue *serious*

Are all your tyres the same size? -
Brake Pedal Hard After Trackday
Sheriff Wan replied to Rekin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Flush the brake fluid too, probably cooked that aswell -
I can't believe you got them back! I'd go to the cops so that stupid knob jockey thinks twice before taking someones hard earned possessions! Theifs and people that ding your car and piss off should all be put down like animals! Good job

Errr where on earth did you find that? I have a standard RB25 with a 2530 - Full boost by 2750 RPM (1.1 Bar)... its well on its way long before 4k!
-
You want BCPR6ES - the BKR plugs are slightly shorter or longer by approx 2mm (cant remember exactly) The BCPR6ES are gapped to 0.8mm they are copper, they are cheaper and they work just the same. If you really want to you can deposit the money I just saved you into my account. Read the spark plug thread - all of it. /thread

Why hide the car for? Just drape a blanket over it in the carport OR cover it in clingwrap - that stuff i invisible - They'll never find it, they might even pay you double? I also heard that they may just replace it with an R35, you know because you love skylines and all that...

Building A 25 To Spin To 9-10k
Sheriff Wan replied to Simon-S14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
For the price you would spend on building an engine like that you cant go past the 26 head. Other than that you would need a very well put together bottom end and supporting mods i.e. oil supply etc. -
What about fuel filter and reg? Even though the new pump can supply it, doesn't mean it's getting there... Swap them out for known working units and see how you go.

Testing If Vct Is Working Properly
Sheriff Wan replied to Chi100188's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You should be able to hear the solenoid click when you pull the throttle when under the bonnet, this would suggest it is working... It's a noticeable noise -
The rb25de was offered for the 32 not the rb25det. Best to check with the nsw equivalent of vicroads. also your going to have to modify the gearbox crossmember & tailshaft, so that would be structural in my book I've done this conversion and it's well worth it - the 25 craps on the 20 for a streeter. Mine cost me $4k drive in drive out, I just got it passed the engineer as standard then put the ecu etc in.

What did this plug look like? Did it have a certain colour wire or anything... Al little more detail could be useful as there are quite anumber of wires back there

Right Or Wrong Z32/300zx Airflow Meter?
Sheriff Wan replied to mawzy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You want the Orange sticker one - And you want a genuine one, a fake chinese or whatever one will be worse than standard and you risk damaging stuff. The fakes have very poor workmanship usually - a quick Google search will help there. Buy from a trusted distributer - Note eBay if you want to be sure. Also 2nd hand is buyer beware - it may work fine but it may also be crud. -
A Desperate Cry For Help From Africa
Sheriff Wan replied to ZimNismoBoy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I really want to feel sorry for you mate, but - Do it once do it properly. RIPS quoted you 15k for a bottom end because its not going to break! He has a very good track record and his prices reflect his knowledge and workmanship. GTR's are expensive. -
Can We Put The Fuel Pump Upgrade Thing To Rest?
Sheriff Wan replied to TUF250's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
^^ Thats is somewhat valid, however, it will be like the oil discussion - Some people run the cheaper stuff - and there is nothing wrong with that, just personal choice. I'm not saying only the expensive stuff works - But it will always bolt in and do the job (hence the price)... Unlike some other brands. I myself have a Bosch 040 - slight adjustment to fit, but works fine for my application. -
A Desperate Cry For Help From Africa
Sheriff Wan replied to ZimNismoBoy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Give it up... It's obvious you just want to feel sorry for yourself. As harsh as that sounds - you said you don't have the money etc to send it all over the world - yet: - You own an R34 GTR Nur - You have already spent $15k USD on the car. To me looks like your doing ok... If you just did it properly the first time, you wouldn't need this help and the money would have been well spent. This engine building stuff is just silly - RIPS has offered - you haven't done anything. I wanted to learn how to build engies - so I did a course I read book after book and learned how to do it. Sorry if this is rough, but am I the only one seeing this go round in circles? (BTW Where are these magical pictures...) -
If your putting the rb25 gearbox in and modifying the gearbox crossmember (which you will have to) then you need an engineers certificate is what i was told. Should cost about $600 No need for a roadworthy - you take the VASS (Look that word up on the vicroads website) certificate into vicroads - they sight the new engine number and update their records. Thats all

Upgrade Rb 20 Or Put Rb 25 Or 26 Into My R32 Gts-t?
Sheriff Wan replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey mate, For $500 you can't go past the RB25... When you put an RB26 in you will have to modify the sump. This is due to the RB26 being a 4 wheel drive motor so you will have to look after the front diff as your GTSt doesn't have one... Hope that helps. -
I agree with the bloke who said take the $10k and burn it. Why on earth would you think you can do this? It would be years and $$$$$$$$$$$$$ in the making to get it anywhere near an RB26DE. Give it up kid.
-
Interesting, this does seem to be more of a 2530 replacement though as peak power is higher... I have a 2530 on RB25 making full boost (15psi) by 2750 and it drops to 13psi by 6,000 and makes an overall 230rwkw. For a street setup, I got the 2530, and I love it. This turbo seems to be better bottom end, but if it starts to run out of puff by ~4,600 I can't see the benefit. I could just wind the 2530 up some more and let it run off in the same fashion and only sacrifice 250 rpm from an already stupidly low response... Food for thought.
