  1. Have you had the tuner go over it? I know some people just tune for WOT and think that will satisfy 99% of people.
  2. Hope you have your flame suit ready...
  3. Maybe a little, Trent tuned it - I haven't posted the Dyno yet, but I can if you want. Initially its was 14 psi and ~225 kw, so it had a little more, but standard injectors (90% duty), so didnt want to push that hard. But it seemed to respond well to more boost I was only really after a streetable package, dont care about the numbers, just want good powerband and response - which I have in buckets now
  4. Think I'm able to comment here... I have a 32 with 25DET and its running a 2530, it was a legacy from the RB20 I used to have. Just had it tuned by Trent (Status) and it made 231rwkw @ 15psi. It makes full boost by 2750 and pulls nicely to redline and picks up from anywhere and in any gear. I cant say it feels like it needs more, especially if any street driving will be done. More than capable of lighting up 3rd in the dry with 235's on the rear...
  5. By dead revving I thought you meant revving but not making power? Do you mean that it won't rev past 5500 rpm? like it hits wall?
  6. Sound like your clutch is slipping. If what you said in the first post i correct - gets to 5k Rpm then just starts dead revving - thats the clutch slipping... Maybe im missing something, the reason it wont do it 1st run out is because it has had time to cool down...
  7. Its not DET as has been said - you would in no way get the marks on the head from DET full stop. Looks like its eaten something, what though remains unknown. Ever pop a cooler pipe or do anyhing with the throttle?
  8. FIRB Foreign Investment Review Board
  9. Its much much worse now... I just can't wait till the attention moves to the next "big" thing. While we are flavour of the month I don't think there is too much we can do - as much as I would like o do something. All you can really do is not be stupid on the roads, even then thats not enough...
  10. I would doubt that the RB25 N/A gearbox would be the same as an RB20... You should be fine running a 20DET gearbox behind the 25DE, provided your not rough on shifts, but many have run the 20DET gearbox behind 25DETs wih some success.
  11. That doesnt sound dodgey at all......... Just walk mate - plenty of Skylines in the sea.
  12. Well put joeyjoejoe! No need for the cunfusion - I have BCPR7ES in mine running 15 psi - RB25DET SII
  13. Is the car driving properly? You wouldnt have done any damage just giving it a bit then crawling in traffic - its a car not a precious rare form of transport If you suspect an exhaust leak try applying some soapy water over the area and see if it bubbles.
  14. Wow this went off topic pretty quick. The OP wants a responsive turbo with head room, and a turbo that will handle track days/drift & drag days. STANDARD MOTOR - to the blokes saying your bored of 300kw, come on now, if you can use them all I would be impressed wheels spinning in 3rd doesn't equal a good setup. Like has been said - 3071 seems to suit. Asking for more than 300kw of a standard motor is asking for trouble and asking to empty your bank account
  15. Might need to add injectors to that list also. Agree with Nismoid, potentially you could also look at something like a HKS 2535, might sacrifice the headroom but will provide the response.
  16. Told you... Trust me I researched... Last thing I wanted after spending so much was to not be able to have it insured and registered! I just had mine done - it cost $600 all done. whoever told you 2.5k is up the duff!
  17. Has it always been the case? Or has this just started to happen? With the z32 ecu running the rb25, your priming time with the pump will go from about 5 seconds from the factory ECU to about 2 seconds with z32/Nistune fitted. You can try putting a resistor where the fuel temp is in the ECU - should increase priming time. Check the Nistune forums about it I had the same problem in mine - but it turned out to be low voltage a the fuel pump, so I put it on a direct relay from the battery.
  18. You should be fine without an engineers certificate - as there will be no modification to the chassis. Also the R32 was issued with the RB25DE from factory, hence, no need for the certificate. I had to get a cert when I converted to a 25DET but only because I modified the gearbox crossmember. It still retained all original engine mounts etc etc. Also RE Customs or Dr Drift would be able to do the work for you - Just bear in mind that it will cost you quite a bit to do the whole conversion. My 2 cents.
  19. I'm quite sure a little bit of time searching would have sorted this out... There are even some DIY's on how to change plugs, oil, filters etc
  20. Also depends on series 1 or 2 RB25 If your using a series 2 you cannot use the coilpacks from your RB20. As already stated - you will loose VCT if your not using a 25 ECU. Also I'm running a 2530 on my Rb25 - HEAPS of response but its about as small as you'd want to go.
  21. Gday - interested in the Power FC How much for shipping to VIC? Cheers
  22. Where abouts are you? Also do you have any interior?
  23. As far as I know you don't get the fine without the proof? I'll need someone to show me in writing rather than just a post...
  24. Im using one with an RB25 & z32 ecu You can check the results in the RB 25 upgrade thread. Made 218 @ 14 psi Very good bit of kit
  25. Howdy, Just had my R32 w series II RB25 tuned by Dr Drift. Mods as follows: - Nistune & Z32 ECU - 3'" Exhaust - Blitz turnflow FMIC - Pod - HKS 2530 - Yellow Jacket Coil Packs - Boost T - Z32 AFM Car makes full boost by about ~2,700 RPM and pulls like a train! Made 218 rwkw on a very conservative tune and only 14 pound The Doctor does very good work! Cheers,
