Hey all, Thought I'd share my experience, Went to see Damien @ Final Inspection on Sat, All I have to say is he knows his stuff and does an amazing job, very professional. My car as you may or may not know my car has just been resprayed and this was the first cut polish it has received, as per instructions not to get it done too soon. Also didn't want it getting botched by some hack For anyone looking to get this done I can't recommend Damien enough, very reasonable price for the service provided, He was even kind enough to give it a wax with Carnauba Wax! Here are some pics, I think it came out great. Let me know if you need details on price etc Cheers,

Errr - I tend to disagree, respectfully of course What you have built most would regard as the ultimate GTR - Hence the Z-Tune follows a very similar line RB28 etc etc... As for the R35 walking over your car - I would not be so sure I'd almost claim your car would ruin an R35 track or street Also you have something that the R35 will never have......... a clutch, a real one not some fancy auto one! It saddens me that someone would go to this length to build such an amazing car only to trade it off with a comment lik "I should have bought an R35". Who cares if your car is 7 years old - thats not why we buy these cars, heck mine is 20 years old yet it still brings a smile to my face and tears the arse out of most things that have been produced within the last 20 years. Anywho enough of my rant - I don't mean any disrespect, its just that some people would literally give a body part to be in the position your in where you basically give it the Forza treatment: read buy the best of everything. When someone like Ben from Racepace says "this is the best GTR i've ever driven" I think you have something special.... Maybe take it out for a proper drive.

Boosting in neutral and boosting while in gear driving are 2 very different situations...

CEF11E Haha - told you they would look ok I've seen that blue GTR in the Dandenong area, thats not me though, in the flesh my car is darker, thats more a bayside blue (and not a GTR ) Thanks for the comments, when I went to pick the car up my jaw just fell open... I was like um wow As for Vu doing it all for so cheap, I dunno either, but i'll keep seeing him while his work is this good! Cheers

Best to contact him as each car and work required would differ - His name on here is "evilsub" Thanks

Hi All, Just thougt I'd share my experience... I wanted to give my car a freshen up, as the paint want in the best nick and was annoying me. So after some research and the help of SAU I found Vu (evilsub) from DT Panels in Springvale. Went down to see him and chatted about what I wanted and what his thoughts were about the car and got the ball rolling. I have to say that dealing with Vu was a pleasure, its good to finally meet someone in the car business who's not a money hungry idiot for once. Everything was exactly as he said it would be, and I think they did an amazing job. My car was black.... and I decided to change it to VW R32 Deep Pearl Blue and added GTR front bar, as I didnt want anything too wild, also decided I'd get rid of the spoiler while I was at it. Anyways, Here are some pics of the whole thing, This is before - kinda looks like its good for parts! During... After The first cruise - we went through Black Spur King Lake area - It was awesome! Thanks again Vu! What do you think?

Exhaust blockage?

Wow chalky not to be rude but... you ask a silly question that has been covered many times - you get an answer and then say you want something different. A turbo upgrade is not cheap - you get what you pay for. Either save up a little more money and wait a little longer and do it properly or go ahead and buy an eBay junk pile turbo put that on and your next post can be: "I think my turbo from eBay is broken" I have a 2530 on my RB20 and its awesome, trust me you would prefer to stretch a little than buy a cheap shite turbo especially for an RB20 which needs most of the help it can get...
-
Hey sorry to be off topic... I have a friend with a buggered FC, where did you manage to get it repaired? and also what cost? Also what symptoms did it have that alerted you that it was broken? If you dont want to discuss openly you can PM me. Thanks
-
Yeah i would warm it up first to check it isnt a cold start problem
-
Just wondering if anyone has tried this or if it would even be possible. I have searched high and low with no information about it. Cheers,
-
Can I suggest you do a search and also look in the Rb26 upgrade thread and maybe contact some of the ones that are similar to what you want.
-
Could have blown a fuse? Check that too.

R32 Rb25 Conversion Legal Stuff
Sheriff Wan replied to Sheriff Wan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hahaha cln - all well and good till they find a diff engine number! I thought about that with the 30 - noone could tell the difference. Nismoid - Thanks, seems reasonable, I'll be doing similar to yourself in that the gearbox and brakes will be upgraded too so it sounds like I shouldnt have too many issues. I spoke to a guy on the VASS list, he said I would not need a roadworthy though? Also what aftermarket stuff did you have? ECU, Turbo etc? or was it all standard to pass the cert? -
R32 Rb25 Conversion Legal Stuff
Sheriff Wan replied to Sheriff Wan's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah our government body is VicRoads. As far as i know you need a VASS certificate ($800) was the quote i got. Anybody else have anything? -
Hi All, I was thinking about a 30 conversion into my 32 GTSt a little while ago and ran into some difficulty with regards to "legally" doing a 30 swap, mostly around emissions and VASS stuff... So I have decided to go the path of the RB25DET Im asking people who have done this conversion: How did you go about getting it to be legal? If you could please post your issues or successes that you had when doing your conversion/ I dont want to be in a spot where I may have to remove the engine if I get a picky officer unlikely as it may be.... Thanks - also can we keep it on topic - I dont want people saying "Just do the 30".. blah blah blah.
-
Are you using an additive? Looks as if the one on the left hasn't even been touched... It doesnt look lean - it would be alot worse if it was and the car would show other signs like detonation..... What type of plugs are you using as they may be too cold for the type of driving you do?
-
Did you bleed the system after the flush etc? Sounds like there is just air in there. If it didnt do it before it shouldnt start now Skylines have very efficient cooling systems, i wouldnt be changing the factory set up unless your 100% sure...
-
mmmm DeathWish "If you want to run higher rpm your're going to have to fit forged internals and i lightened, balanced crank as well as solid lifters and probably some porting and polishing too" The RB26 has solid lifters as standard, agree with zebra on this one - you havent helped much. To the OP - I would go to your engine builder/tuner to work this out. As its already been said there is no magic number based on a few lines about your car as to it potential..... I could tell you it will rev to 9,456 rpm but what difference would that make if I havent seen it?.... Get my point?
