  1. What else did you touch when you adjusted the idle?
  2. Hey mate I'll take the GTR fuel pump and cradle if its in working order. Just PM your details and ill forward the $$$ or I'll come and pick it up - im not far. Cheers,
  3. You have 2 options: - Try filling your engine with oil till it comes out of the filler hole. Or - Someone has stolen your piston - best check by taking the head off.
  4. - Disconnect your coil pack loom - Remove spark plugs - Screw the compression guage in the spark plug hole and turn the engine over for about 5 seconds - Repeat the last step for all cylinders Things to note: Engine should be warm
  5. Saw a mint white R34 GTT with black nismo rims - Parked on Queen St yesterday at about 14:30 has a SAU sticker on it Looked awesome!
  6. I'd be looking at fuel related things. Did you check the flow at idle? if so it would be very different at 4,500 rpm, could still be fuel pump Also is the ecu standard? check that it hasnt been played with. Also check that your timing is in check
  7. Good point Baron, but injectors are noisy at idle also... are they not.
  8. The noise you get from revving to 2000 quickly and backing off might not be the best and is usually associated with bearings as it occurs when you snap the throttle shut. Your thicker oil could contribute to it - when you rev the engine the oil that moves to the head may not be able to get back to the bearings in time as its too thick... Just a guess. The timing belt noise is hard to say - have you tried listening to the cam cover using a screwdriver to get a better idea of where the noise is coming from?
  9. Fuel pump... Coil packs... Could be 1001 things Why didnt you ask the people that serviced your car?
  10. There isn't 1 restrictor there are several. They cant have removed the restrictors unless you had aftermarket ones in there in there in the first place... Burning of oil could be related to it getting past the valve stems, however, that would be valve stem seals needing replacing not restrictors - if anything that would only slightly lessen the amount of oil getting into the head - not solve the leaky vavle stem seals. Both of the above are a head off job though so you could do both... but the RB25 isn't as renowned as the 26 for retaining oil in the head. Hope that makes sense.
  11. You madman!! Seems to be coming along nicely - great work.
  12. W O W Am I getting smarter or is she... I think you know the rest. Why even bother asking for advice? It's obvious your team of "professionals" can help you lighten your wallet. If you want I'll do the work on your car - we'll start with an RB20DE head add a 30 bottom end and a T88 - using the standard computer we should make about 1,200 rwkw, easy should need a full rebuild maybe just a degreasing... The standard RB20 gearbox and clutch should hold up for a minute or two, so don't worry too much about that we can always add a shortshifter. Just deposit the $$ in my account and it should be done by 5pm. Trust me I say I'm a professional.
  13. Where abouts do you meet at Monash? Didn't know we had soo many duck lovers!
  14. Oh dear it seems I have made a mess at my desk... This is gonna be out of control!
  15. ^^ What he said, Also please get rid of those disgusting rims!
  16. Sounds more like a leak to me. Could be from one of the manifold gaskets... you said you just replaced the turbos - did you replace the manifold gaskets? I would be looking for a split hose somewhere or your actuator has given it up, as you stated you can hold full boost it would be unlikely that you BOV's ar buggered... White smoke is not oil - its water vapour - blue smoke is oil... you can check if you've overfilled it by simply looking at the dipstick marking... If it's too full just let some out via the sump plug and recheck the level. My 2 cents.
  17. Hahaha 180cm! Why don't you get yourself a mini bar fridge and pop a hose in either end of it. Perfect front mount, may have issue with closing the bonnet though... Me thinks the measurements are incorrect.
  18. ^ What the Baron has said. You would be wasting your time with a supercharger.
  19. Correct joeyjoejoe! RB25's can make a shedload more than 200rwkw - has been proven many times, just not with superchargers...
  20. Um is the second graph showing PSI? As in your running 25 pound tapering off to 21 through standard 34 N1 turbos... Do you have a before graph? Should be one hellova ride though!
  21. Yeah nice start - chirp 2nd in a side street. Perfect way to avoid the cops... I'm looking foward to seeing your next thread: "Stupid cops, why did they take my car. Please help"
