  1. I went up to a 6870 im hoping I won’t regret it the machine shop/engine builder has it at the moment, I don’t know the exact details of what happened apart from water was getting into the oil and after they did a pressure test it was coming from behind a sleeve
  2. No it’s not running yet, I got it running briefly and something was wrong with the block, I don’t know what it was and I haven’t got it back yet
  3. Basically slowly kept modifying a standard engine and ended up with a 6466 on it and then ended up with coolant spraying out of the over flow bottle on boost, thought it had just lifted the head and was going to throw a 2.8 kit into the factory block and keep going. Got the head off and found the block was cracked in 4 spots (3 in the deck and one in the side) and because I already had the 2.8 kit I bought a billet block for that to go into.
  4. I’ve said a few times if I was starting again I’d go 3.2, but I had the stoker kit before I knew about the block being stuffed
  5. Most people are going 8085 these days and making more power everywhere
  6. One would assume the process will still be the same
  7. i haven’t watched the video but it says how to
  8. Just get them to quickly throw a set of cams and a turbo on while they’re in there
  9. It doesn’t go into the same groove the second snap ring goes underneath that one which holds it all in
  10. IEE make a pedal bracket to bolt straight back in and sit the pedal in the right spot
  11. You’ll need a 26 piston due to the pin being in a slightly higher position to compensate for the increased stroke, you can then machine the crown to take the compression to where you want it to be
  12. Definitely can be done, and then I put them back into my new harness when I made it
  13. Mrs might have push him and the grinder in if she knew lol
  14. You’re a braver man then me playing with 240v that close to a body of water that big
  15. All push type clutches are the same regardless if it’s a 20 or 25 box. The photo is that bad it’s impossible to know exactly what box it is but the slave position says it’s a push type clutch and that’s what’s required
  16. High beam is supposed to come on in both directions you moved the stalk, towards the steer wheel is a quick flash and pushed towards the dash they stay on till you pull it back to the center position What head lights does the car have in it?
  17. No Speeding fines just phone fine and seat belt warnings for now (that’s in nsw)
  18. Another possible reason is most manufacturers install center bearings because of the design of the car the tail shaft requires a bend in it to avoid binding
  19. Yes this is a second garage for the gtr to live in and the daily’s will be in the original one
  20. Yeah will only be one car in there and a hoist with my tools and etc
  21. Something to do with one of the sleeves, haven’t been told exactly what yet, hopefully will find out when I pick it up and get the chance to talk to the them face to face yeah new shed, it’s only a 6x6.5 but for a suburban area is a pretty decent size
  22. I was told monday I’ll have the engine either next week or the first week back after Xmas. Not that I’m in a rush as I’m currently building it a new home
  23. It’s something to do with a sleeve, which is a machine shop’s engine builder problem
