Strange Vibration In Trans... 6Sp Man
alex.a replied to alex.a's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
found out it was my clutch causing the issues... replaced with a custom npc and she is perfect now!!! -
hey guys Have a v35/350z 6speed manual box. was imported from the states from a low km 350z. thought i had an issue with my 6 speed in my v35 so bought this box to replace it, however on imspection the issue was the clutch. so the spare box in not needed. is sitting at Bayside gearbox and diff services in capalaba atm, can deliver locally to bris or goldcoast for a small fee or can be picked up. if anyone wants to freight aus wide, thats also possible. can send pics if required, however it looks like a stock 6 speed trans very cleen, can have it opened up and inspected for piece of mind at buyers cost. located capalaba, brisbane. Asking $600 ono... dosnt include shifter. thanks, alex 0416702037

zei20l= who knows, i may end up liking them enough too keep how long have you had yours? jjjones- i bought mine through "Street to track". he is a sponsored seller on boostcruising. here is a link Bc coilovers -
hey guys Recently bought v35 coupe and having a few dramas. its a 6sp manual and has had a button clutch/lightened flywheel fitted. now im stressing about the transmission as when you first take off (release clutch, load up trasnmission) the gearbox makes this weird vibration/pulsing/deep knocking noise... really noticable through the gear knob (rattles badly). the vibration happens with engine rpm increase... follows it perfectly, definatly something spinning too. it wont do it on deceleration, nor in netural (with clutch in or out) and i even jacked the rear of the car up, placed in gear and let the wheels spin in the air.... no noise/vibration, so must need load on the driveline. the engines runs freely, no knocks or noises and the trans shifts smoothly... just the horrid vibration. i have read plenty of info regarding removing the stock duel-mass flywheel and replacing with a lightened unit creating lots of noises and transfering vibrtions.. but i just cant see this being normal!! has anyone else out there exprienced something like this? the only possible things i could think of are -damaged spigiot bearing? -worn bearings in trans -damages imput shaft -incorrectly fitted clutch/flywheel (but think it would always make noise then) -excessive lash between gear sets? -shifter flogged out and just ratteling around with engine rpm (thinking it may be a short-shift kit, very short shifts.. never seen stock to compare) -worn diff bushes, allowing the diff to move under heavy load, thus moving the tailshaft a tiny bit out of whack?...(prob stupid but taking a stab in the dark) if anyone can shed some light on the situation i would greatly appreciate it.. sorry if this post is hard to understand, its hard to try and explain the problem. im going to record a vid and upload so you can hear the problem. thanks guys, alex

Bc Br Series Coilovers For Sale.. Brand New In Box!
alex.a replied to alex.a's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
"Stance" and "k-sport" make a drop in rear coilover for the v35/350z.. no mod work required. Im not worried abour the strength factor of the rear mounts, i can simply get the boys in the chassis shop at 888 or PMM to beef them up for me. and yes there is a much wider range of spring options in a conventional style coilover rear. Thanks for the helpful feedback tho guys, i am going to use the BC's now while my new setup is on order. thanks again -
hey guys recently ordered some BC br series coilovers. however have decided to use a different brand coilover now as i want a true coilover rear setup, not oem seperate coil/strut. So the BC's are not needed. i bought these for $1200 delivered, received on thurs last week, havnt even removed from box. all paperwork, stickers and spanners included of course! im looking for $950... thats a cheap price for brand new coilovers! located bris/goldcoast... best to msg on 0416702037 thanks alex PS, im hoping i dont need to put pictures up.. they are all wrapped up and dont really wanna cut them open for a few pics

Strange Driveline Noise After Clutch Install
alex.a replied to alex.a's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yes it was a genuine bush, i was told to freeze it so it would contract/shrink a little so it would fit in easier. i packed it with the grease i was given and squeezed either side... its should have plenty of lube. anyway i will rip it out later this week and see whats goin on. thanks -
Strange Driveline Noise After Clutch Install
alex.a replied to alex.a's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
its a r32gtr as stated in origional post. sorry yes i ment the spacer plate for starter location. its a strange metallic noise.. if im driving ans bleep the accelerator between gear changes it wont do it. old spigiot was removed, and i got some sort of grease and a plastic/nylon dowel from a local gearbox shop. the dowel was used to tap the new spigiot into place. i put the spigiot into the freezer over night before the install to "shrink it" to allow it to insert into the crank. when i installed the spigiot it wend in with an ease. might pull the box out again and have a look at the spigiot if i get time. thanks for your input anyway mate... i really appreciate it -
Strange Driveline Noise After Clutch Install
alex.a replied to alex.a's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
old spigot as dry and picked up on the input shaft... looked like it had been bashed into place and damaged when fitted. i installed the new spigiot and clutch. was extremly careful on install. if there was spigiot damage then wouldnt there be constant noise??? as the crank is obviously always spinning?? what makes you say its spigiot?? the noise is not constant, only when the clutch is dropped hard or suddenly released when the wheel speed is higher then the revs... if that makes sense lol. i checked the imput shaft for abnormal movement before i put the box back in also.... was all fine. the clutch is a exceedy/nismo SOLID center twin-plate (harsh). it was rebuilt buy npc however the didnt reuse any part of the original clutch plates, they made up their own new units. i have the old ones at home. the flywheel was machined and new flywheel bolts were used. -
does this convert to tail feed? or still side feed type injectors??

Strange Driveline Noise After Clutch Install
alex.a replied to alex.a's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
brand new spigiot... old one was shagged -
hey guys need some help trying to track down an annoying driveline noise in my r32gtr. started after i got my solid center twinplate clutch rebuilt. strange noise, almost sounds like chirping tires!! happens when i release the clutch after a gear change and the revs have dropped or if i dump the clutch at low revs... squeek!! i assumed i may have had some loose bellhousing bolts, allowing the gearbox to slightly vibrate against the flex/spacer plate (goes between bellhousing and block)when the clutch bites in. i checked the bolts and found 2 semi loose ones, the rest are super tight... did them all up extra tight improoved the problem but its still there. one thing is i remember there was a rubber gasket stuck to the flex/spacer plate i peeled off before i re-installed everything (it looked rooted).. checked my engine/gearbox mounts and they are all fine... even replaced my greabox crossmember rubbers... no effect if anyone else has had this problem please help!!!!
