  1. Nice one, looks very clean! I always much prefer the boxy more aggressive look of the S1 over the S2.
  2. Could you elaborate? I don't remember it being mentioned much in the forums.
  3. Photos are online now as well: https://www.saunsw.com.au/gallery/november-2023-cruise-evening-kebab-run
  4. This coming up tonight!
  5. I wonder if this is the kind of thing where you'd be better off buying a 10 year old second hand Bosch than a new one. I wouldn't be surprised it they are riding on brand recognition and going cheap on parts as well nowadays. Saying that as someone who has a Bosch dishwasher in the apartment but has never used it
  6. Same when looking at user profiles. It doesn't show any posts since last week. Something's going on.
  7. Hey, not sure if it's just on my end but it looks like the recent activity feeds aren't working properly. Is this just on my end or same for others? See: https://www.sau.com.au/forums/discover/unread/ and https://www.sau.com.au/forums/discover/ The second link works even when not logged in and shows the same. See screenshot below. It hasn't been showing any of the new posts since last week. cc @PranK
  8. Ooo, we haven't been there before. Looking forward to see what it's like!
  9. From one fool to another, I'm sure you'll be fine. Do you have any photos of the car?
  10. Holy cow, this makes it quite real!
  11. Man, that sucks. I hope you get it back. You must feel violated having this happen at home. What was the situation? Was it an open car park or in a cage? Any security on the car? Immobiliser, GPS tracker or so? Apartment living can be a bit f**ked like that. A colleague of mine had his bikes stolen. Camera footage showed people coming in with a van at 2am or so in the morning. Not wasting any time. Going through with a bolt cutter opening cages and taking whatever is easy to grab. Apparently covering the cage to hide the contents would have been enough to make these guys skip it. I presume with a car it's a bit more targeted though unfortunately.
  12. That is pretty cool indeed! I like it when things like that integrate cleanly. Had a discussion around warnings and engine triggers around oil pressure with my mechanic. I was asking for cutting power when it gets risky but they argued for doing warnings only. Because cutting power can be dangerous in some situations, such as in the middle of an overtake on the road or in the middle of a corner on the track. And the readings aren't necessarily always reliable so could cut even if there is no issue. Apparently they are dealing with false warnings on track cars quite a lot. Overall sounded convincing to me.
  13. Haha, fair enough. Yeah ceramic is meant to be better with keeping off heat. Or so I learned doing all of five minutes of research. But for some reason the extra photos you included in your post that show the new tint don't load.
  14. As much as you like to complain about it, your car is a looker! Is this photo with new tints? Which ones did you end up going with? It's on my list of things to do, though not at the top. Being able to see nothing at all out of the windows when it's dark and wet outside gets old very quickly.
  15. Computer nerds to the rescue! The internet archive can help here. See for example this old capture of that specific blog that has the pictures still: https://web.archive.org/web/20190612140453/https://www.gtrusablog.com/2018/06/how-to-bleed-nissan-skyline-gt-r-attesa.html Looks like there was only one capture of this thread though and at least on my end the pictures don't seem to load either. https://web.archive.org/web/20160314153851/https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/102731-r32-gtr-attessa-fluid/
  16. Haha, @Kinkstaah's recent post on this comes to my mind:
  17. Haha, it's not all great in Australia either. But Japanese imports are much more common which is nice. What I like about Europe is that everything is somewhat close. So in theory can drive to events in France, Germany, Italy etc. But it takes coming to Australia to learn that lesson. Drive ten hours here and it doesn't get you very far
  18. Man, I dream about taking my car to Europe to drive there. Thanks for that! How do you feel about driving a rare and clean GTR in France? My impression was that the French tend to not give a shit about cars. And if you park on the street expect it to dinged and bumped around a lot. PS: That link points to this thread instead of youtube which is a bit odd.
  19. Yep, cars for hope was the intended charity. See https://carsforhope.com.au/donate/
  20. Yep! It was good fun! The sound of RBs shouting up the twisties brought joy to my cold twisted bitter heart It was missing some angry supercharged V8 boat in the mix though.
  21. This is coming up this Sunday. Looking forward to it. @The Bogan are you going to make it?
  22. Oof, sounds like a big job. Looking forward to see how it goes though. I think it may be one of those things that'll hurt but will feel much better about the car afterwards. It also makes me want to not look too closely under my car. I presume living in the UK is not helping here. You'd get a solid two days of driving out of the car if you only took it out on nice days
  23. I'd be interested to hear about some solutions for this as well. Similar situation as I'd like to keep the triple analog gauges. That's a good point. Looks like on the Pioneer the default can be changed on whether it is open or not. And it has the usual radio control buttons even when it is folded. Sounds a bit annoying regardless. I think it's possible to half move the screen, but looks like it's via touch screen controls only so not great whilst driving. There are some videos about the controls on youtube. Doesn't look like it's possible to move it by hand to just quickly reach the controls that are hidden when it's up. Personally at $1300 AUD I'd want something that is pretty much perfect so not sure about this one. Hah, I hear you. The speakers in mine are stuffed so haven't listened to music in the car at all. Weird how after a while it just becomes normal. Even considered blanking out the stereo slot out to make it look a bit cleaner. Would be nice though to have a proper display with carplay/android auto integration.
  24. Not going to lie, I have already been looking at getting some sound deadener as well... @Duncan Which speakers did you end getting?
  25. Oh wow, these actually look quite nice. Might be a bit too subtle and still look mum spec though in my opinion. What about wheels? I saw a Golf wagon the other day with some fancy rotiforms on it. Very unexpected and it looked great as they transformed the look of the whole car. Though depending on how the car is driven it may result in anguish having them murdered on curbs.
