Guys, Thought we would post up the good news from the organizing team. We counted the money yesterday afternoon after the cruise and it came a grand total of $5000 which will be sent to the Starlight Foundation this week. The official count for cars today was 400+ which we weren't expecting. The car parked filled up in about 20 mins with a lot of cars having to park on the grass. As for the cops, no problems were reported. We had a chat with the police team that was down there and there were OK with the event. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the day. For the first official event, it went better then we were hoping. This will become an annual event, with a new & bigger location next year and more organization will happen. Also congratulations to all those that won prizes on the day. Thanks again guys for making this event as big as it was!

Thanks for the comments mate If you guys do another show next year and do open it up to Non-Skylines, count me in for sure! I enjoyed the show
-
Hi... I can clearly see your point of view in relation to the matter. Perhaps the commitee running the show should have changed those trophies (ie Best Exterior, Interior, Engine Bay, Engineering etc) to a skyline class then had a couple of awards for the non-skylines there. The commitee had opened it up to "NON" skylines to enter the show as well. I believe when you fill in the entry form, u have the option in ticking what class you want to compete in, hence why i ticked both the Non-Skyline and Exterior classes. My interior isnt done (yet), and i know my paint work is up there with some of the best (considering its just come straight out of the paint booth like that and hasnt been cut/buffed yet!!!!) I did go to an "annual" show n shine for the Audi (aka VW Nationals) which is held at the same showground. They gave the best late model audi trophy to a standard RS3 over my car (mind u, my car was simply HOK Jet Black back then with different wheels!). I was annoyed, but i didnt have a cry about it, cause at the end of the day, its not worth it. I was like...ok...weird, but thats life! Just a thought to those who ran this show, perhaps next one you do, make it clear on the trophies as to if its a non-skyline/skyline class if your going to open it up to other vehicles. I loved the show, it was a good day out, it was good seeing the amount of modifications you can do with a skyline, and ive always loved them (mainly the R34 GTRS). If you dont want non-skylines winning trophies, dont invite them....its that simple!!
-
Must admit i dont understand how a non Skyline car can be eligable to enter competition against anything other than non Skyline cars ? ... I believe that BEST INT. / EXT. / ENGINE BAY / ENGINEERING etc can only be won by a Skyline ... not taking away from how fantastic the Audi was but for it to win BEST EXTERIOR i believe there had to be a BEST NON SKYLINE EXTERIOR category ... i was under the impression that all the non Skylines were all up against each other in the BEST NON SKYLINE CATEGORY & only SKYLINES unless specified by model ie: CLASSIC/31/32/33/34/35 were up agianst other Skylines for the BEST INT/EXT/ENGINE BAY/etc ... surely this fair as it is a Skylines Show & Shine ... great to have other cars attend & enter but not great to have them compete in a category that they do not belong in ... if youre a non Skyline youre only competing against other non skylines in a category that has "non Skyline" in its title ... surely only BEST NON SKYLINE is more than sufficient for this. With all the model specific & other specific categories competed for by only Skylines ... ... there's always one!!! To put it simply, i found out after the show the Club President chose my car for Best Exterior...so therefore you have a problem with it, take it up with him!

Few from me from yesterday's event: Rest can be found here: http://s135.photobucket.com/albums/q127/KE...20Shine%202009/
-
Ask the judges mate! I know personally the club president chose my car, and from what i remember, that award was open to any car that was at the show... And when u have a 10 grand respray and done by one of Sydney best custom workshops, you would expect it to be up there!! I honestly didnt expect to get it, i was thinking that either 4SHOWZ or the 9Z WRX would have gotten it over me!!
-
and here i thought i was unknown on this forum LOL... there is 1 coming along with us (as that im going in with Dahtone)...321BYE, its a teal R33

Hi Guys, Selling my old wheels that were off my Audi. Item: Element Chrome Wheels Stud pattern: 5x??? (Audi/VW) (could possibly be re-drilled to suit another vehicle) Tyres: Unsure, have red walls on them, one tyre will need to be replaced however, 3 others still have a good 85% tread on them Price: $1200 ono Condition: 3 of the 4 wheels are in perfect condition. 1 of them has a minor chip in it from clipping a roundabout slighty. Other Info: i do also have a swap rim with no tyre on it due to another chip from clipping a roundabout but the rim is fine. Willing to throw in with purchase. So thats 5 wheels for a very cheap price. One tyre will need to be replaced! They gotta go!!!! Contact: Via PM on here or email: [email protected] NOT INTERESTED IN SWAPS AS THAT I ALREADY HAVE NEW WHEELS Pics:

Better improvement then the 1st season! Glad they got rid of the other host and brought James Morrison in I enjoyed the first episode of the new season, its slowly becoming more of an aussie feel rather then the UK feel! I know there is only 8 episodes this season, so i guess we will see how the other 7 go before i make a final judgement on it! Episode 3 should be go, i was at the filming and enjoyed it
