  1. thanks to the interested parties that have pmd. But i am after a straight sale and no swaps please. i am happy to deliver to courier depot if you want to organise freight for those who are interstate.
  2. the recommended offset for a 33 or 34 is +12. only 3mm difference. should fill quite nicely. These actually came off a 34 gtr.
  3. Hi all, Cleaning out the garage and I found a set of used Volk Racing CE28N's which i had almost forgotten about. I purchased these wheels some time ago with the intention to use them as track wheels. Car is and has been off the road for ages now and until i get it back on the road i don't want money sitting in the corner doing nothing. The wheel measurements are 18 x 9.5j and have an offset of +15mm all round. They are suited to Gtr's and evos. They come wrapped in Bridgestone RE55s measuring 265/35 18. The tyres still have reasonable tread however are out of date and hard from sitting around. One tyre has cuts in it and i don't think should be used. The paintwork is in good condition but does have a few chips and scratches here and there. On one of the rims it seems there is some light fading in the gold also (see last pic). slight fading My other set in bronze. 18x9.5 +22 These wheels are genuine volk rims made in japan. The wheels are in Brisbane and i would prefer local buyers please. Price $2500. Please call or text 0417755890 as i am not on these forums often. cheers
  4. haha nah mate. i have the same cooler for my car. my friend wants one too, and i dont really want to sell mine! oh by the way its not titanium, just aluminium.
  5. As an owner of a full HKS piping kit i found that although the kits look fantastic in an engine bay, The finish especially on the inside is nothing short of atrocious. For the premium yen that you pay for the full kits (156450yen for bnr32 and 139450 for 33/34 GTR) one would expect the product to be of a high standard. Instead, the finsh was not much better than the $300 Chinese knockoffs which can be bought on Ebay. Like the Chinese kits, they really need to be extrude honed to be considered finished. Maybe the kits have changed since the last few that i brought in for friends etc, but in my opinion the Trust GReddy piping kits are a far better kit. EDIT: If those 2 pieces of pipe that you have for your blow off valve are from an off the shelf kit then it looks like HKS have lifted their game. They definitely look much cleaner inside! Sorry for the rant!
  6. Another concern is although it looks like it all fits well on the surface, unless its mounted properly and i mean REALLY properly, the noises from vibrations, creaks and rattles will drive you crazy. Car manufacturers spend heaps of time ensuring that the final product is free of any such noises before it ends up in the showroom. My friend removed his r32 dash (had bubbles on top) and replaced it with another r32 dash from another car and it still had rattles and creaks! He only had standard suspension. Could you imagine the amplification of noises with a set of coilovers!? Great look with the 19's on mate! however, i still think its a step backwards from genuine jap wheels to chinese copies. Not for the aesthetic aspect but more so the safety aspect. this thread might be worth a read. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tr....html&st=40 Real TE37's are 3 times the price you paid for your chinese knockoffs for a reason. The Work wheels may not be as expensive but at least you know that these wheels are made to exacting standards with the highest quality control. You actually live in Japan where you have easy access to all the up garages, I-parts not to mention millions of other parts stores and yahoo auctions! Surely a good buy will come along sooner or later! Pick up a "goo parts" magazine, there are plenty of second hand wheel and tyre packages at very reasonable prices. Although your rims might not be the same brand as the ones in the thread above, but in my books i think it would be safe to say and i believe a lot of people would agree, that most if not all chinese rims belong in the "i dont really know what im getting" basket. I think the cost of damages caused from a faulty wheel (assuming you walk away from it)would far outweigh the cost of "doing it right" the first time. I definitely hope you are not intending on putting a set of pretty coloured chinese brakes behind those rims either! (dont get me started!) That said, i think the questions raised are, what price can you put on your own safety? and what are you really "Trading"?
  7. Yes, although the design of the hi octane sump is good, it really is very poorly finished. Casting is VERY rough and like you say a lot of them leaked in the beginning. I suppose attention to detail is what makes Japanese products eye candy to us all. Having said that, not all Japanese products are as well developed as some found in the States and here in Oz.
  8. FREAKIN AWESOME BUILD! Really appreciate you sharing your photos with us, but i just have one request, are you able to organise them into an order which is closer to the actual build process? Sorry, i dont mean to complain but it seems as if the photos are all over the place. Maybe its just me! in reference to the quote below, (my quote button doesnt seem to be working) "The plenumn...they kept stressing about the alloy being to thin and would bulge or deform but once it was on that was thrown out the door. They are quite thinner than Jun plenumn. Also the standard stud mounts were too long and they thought should have been addressed with the plenumn build." They are absolutely right. I have seen the one on Godzillas drag car and it has bulged/ballooned way out of shape. This may well be because of the amount of boost that is run. not to say that the hypertune is a bad product but i guess thats probably why jun/endless etc charge what they charge. Keep the pics coming!
  9. Yeah!? Really!? Like who!? Tangomatt, we all know you're being modest.
  10. man thats cheap! These are twin spray too! Using same ones! Good luck!
  11. This guy in Norway has gone the same way with the interior. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/138433-rb26s-r34-gtr-unicorn.html
  12. its a solid shifter and not short shifter. solid is only 10% shorter and short shifter is 25% shorter.
  13. Very nice car mate, however if you wanted to butcher a car, why are you starting off with such a nice example? You have a perfectly tidy car, and from the sounds of things interior and exterior are all to be retrofitted anyway, essentially the only thing left standard would be the rolling shell or chassis. Wouldnt a rolling shell have been a better start? You can pick these up so cheaply and the money you would have saved by buying a a shell you could inject back into it exactly where you want it and finish with a much better result. By the time you add the coin of all your bits and pieces, the labor etc to your tidy example, you probably wont be far off getting a real one. Not asking you to get an r34, I just think the money could be better spent making it go better or tidying up the 32 if needs any tidying. If you think about what you are going to do, ruin perfectly good paint and bodywork and then put on a 3rd party bodykit (which in a lot of cases are dodgy unless theyre from Japan) and then apply perfectly good paintwork again! Sorry for being so blunt but why would you want to embark on a project whereby the finished product is something which is neither here nor there, but instead you could a have a clean and tidy (which is quite unique in itself as a lot of 32's are falling apart) example of a true legend. When you do take it back to the states, the BNR32's rarity will make you stand out like dogs balls anyway, you wont need a kit car R34 gtr replica to turn heads. Make your pretty 32 go faster with the money you intend to spend, and you wont just turn heads when you get back home, you'll snap necks! just my 2 cents.
