  1. regardless, id still spend the dollars getting it checked. the couple of hundred dollars a check costs is a SHITLOAD cheaper than a few grand for a new engine, or whatever else it may have. some owners will tell buyers the problems, some wont. how do you tell who is lying or not?
  2. had it dyno'd? what rwhp and boost pressure does it run? the stock turbo has nissan written on the compressor housing, does yours have that aswell?
  3. thats more reason to get it checked. $30,000 is alot of money to spend on a lemon with a few GTR badges on it. thats something you have to discuss with the owner. but, if they are sure there is no problems, they shouldnt have a problem taking it to be checked for you.
  4. watch out for the vspec diff... apparently they shit themselves quite easily. edit: have you had an RAC check, or more preferably, a known workshop check it out for you?
  5. whats the specs of the GTR you are buying? $30k is on the 'cheaper' side of 33 GTR's and it could be a bit rough, and end up costing more in the end than another GTR with a slightly higher initial outlay...
  6. it takes YEARS and YEARS to gain experience, not a few drives of an 06 STi... i said the exact same thing as you 'i wont floor it' etc etc.. i then lost my license... everyone succumbs to it, its not a matter of 'if' its a matter of when. if you like skylines, go buy a N/A RB25 R33 with a GTR body kit. cost you one third the price to buy, and a quarter to insure.
  7. if you boot it hard enough and get all 4 wheels spinning, you can be in a whole new world of poo.
  8. what is considered to be worthy of $19,000?
  9. thats 'cheap' to begin with.
  10. who said i was putting it on *my* car?
  11. cheers for that.. might look into getting mine done.. all clear lights FTW!
  12. they are in geraldton theres a guy at tyrepower in geraldton that owns a white 33, maybe ask him where he gets his car serviced?
  13. cheers adam mine's custom, but its based on the GTR 400R.
  14. dont make me put a jihad on you.
  15. i agree.. when i insured my car, i gave them the list of *all* my mods.. that way i know everything is covered, and they cant knock back a claim based on things not mentioned. and with all my mods, it comes to $2600 a year now. id rather pay that than the tens of thousands the car + mods is worth.
  16. limited edition + expensive.
  17. not many though.
  18. no one would allow me to have my car in my parents name, and me as a driver (not that i wanted that, was just interested in looking at the price) i think its due too all the mods.
  19. just car will insure it. they will insure anything... for a price. well.. anything except my rims.
  20. uh huh.. *no one* will insure my LE Sparco rims. lock nuts fo' life. personally i wouldnt buy a 33 GTR at 17... i regret buying my 33 GTS-T at 18 sometimes.. $4000+ a year for insurance makes it seem not worthwhile either.. why spend $30k on a car, and then another $4000+ a year to keep it safe.. i plan on buying a GTR, but not until ive falled down a few insurance brackets, its not worth owning a nice/expensive car at a young age. you also said you dont plan on 'being silly' or anything in it, but if your mates all have sti's, gts-t's, etc etc.. peer pressure WILL crack you.
  21. pic of the din sized gauge holder?
  22. i'll out-sticker you any day tommy boy.
  23. ditto... mine cost me $200 to be made up and put on the car, and that was 'mates rates' edit: i also have that same model car
  24. i dont know if i like that one, or my current one better.
