  1. i fail to see what i do after i buy a car, and when i choose to sell it has to do with upgrading engines and brakes, but go for your life champ, i wouldn't mind a good burnout picture. (obviously it has my number plates, etc in it to prove it was me, and on a public road like you claim?) and hey.. its not my 'theory', its the ADRs, and i dont write them...
  2. lol, get off your high horse. why did you have a 228rwhp r32 then? you don't need 228rwhp to drive around on the street. ps, go explain your 'theory' to an engineer, they will likely tell you to upgrade your brakes. (much like the ADR's mention if you increase engine size/power, you need to use the brakes that came on the car with that engine.) bit ironic about the pot calling the kettle black, eh?
  3. you know brake should be first, but you're not doing them first? regardless of if its a stock engine or not, an 20det puts out more power than a 30e, and after seeing the size of the stock brakes, i'm glad mine has 33 gts-t brakes all round.
  4. 300rwhp 33 (bought it about 6 years ago, got written off 2 years ago by some a commonwhore driver ) 4awhp legnum (did good AWD powerslides though ) 410rwhp RB25 HR31
  5. the doors are heavy because they are much longer, and pillar less... either way, they are still big heavy whales.
  6. i had 275 on a 17x9"+38 without rubbing on a lowered 33
  7. they will fit easily without touching anything
  8. nice... put on a plumb back BOV, hide the cooler, and quiet exhaust.. should surprise a few people.
  9. seeing as the 2.8 is a stroker, the GT block still has a 86mm bore, so it's an 2.6L block technically..
  10. so what exactly was the bit of metal from, or still unknown?
  11. how embarrassment.
  12. i've got a HR31 which is still 4 stud, but i have 33 gts-t calipers/rotors front and rear, which is fine with my 17" sparco rims... but i'm looking for a cheap set of 16" rims in 4x114.3 that will clear gts-t brakes, and haven't had much luck.. will GTS rims fit, or any other 4 stud nissan rim?
  13. looks like banana milk kinda yellow... different.
  14. metallic pink with rainbow flake would stand out, get that.
  15. i'm struggling to work that out actually... as said before, 31's are heavy, mine is 1440kg, your 32 gts-t would be a good 200kg lighter...
  16. no it's not, its a trust front bar. same front bar i had on my 33 a few years ago. (and also a good example in white)
  17. ah, well good luck with it.. keen to know what you plan on doing with it.
  18. you cant transfer rego from another state (unless you have a drivers license in that state) or for an un-registered vehicle. you just need a 'receipt' saying the car was sold to you on x date, by x person, for x amount.
  19. i disconnected my battery today to reset the ecu, then after re-connecting it, i seem to have power to everything, but the starter motor isn't doing anything, not even a click from the solenoid. there is 12V going to the starter motor, and i even swapped it for another RB25 starter motor with no luck. i have a feeling its the smaller wire that attaches to the blade terminal that is giving me problems... what does this wire connect to at the other end? i chucked a multimeter on it, and i assumed it was an earth but i got no reading for it whilst trying to start the car... this is an RB25 in a HR31 if it matters too..
  20. i don't like your chances of finding a GT block in perth...
  21. they could be from my piston... i have no idea what happen to my number 5 piston when my last 25 let go... i was left with jigsaw puzzle in my sump. not part of the head/plenum or anything is it? find it hard for a bit of metal to lodge itself behind a valve, and not to have made any noises or indication there was shit flying around in there?
  22. no there isn't... cheap and reliable won't be fast.
  23. you want to know how to put a chev v8 into a 300zx.... and you ask a skyline forum?
  24. rb25's are quite hefty too, i'm not sure on exact figures, but they are a cast iron block. also the 25 box is quite large, so you may have clearance issues with the transmission tunnel? my 31 came from factory with a 20det, and now has a 25det + 25 box, and it required a little bit of massaging to fit in the tunnel (and its still a tight fit) what box does your car have?
