Wow simple and elegant and quite useful. I agree it would be nice to have the cold start point mapped on the sensor but guess can't have everything . +1 write up.
Mine is behaving the same and usually stalls right when the car is warming up off cold start and onto normal idle.I have already cleaned AFM, cleaned earth, pulled down and cleaned idle control valve, replaced ignator. I will try AAC clean next .
Basically if you install a pump that doesn't have one of these, you have to prime the system before you start the car (044 for example). This simply involves turning the ignition on and letting the fuel pump run for a few seconds before turning it over.
Just bought one of your cables cheers Peter. Would be awesome if you could write ECUtalk for android especially considering it comes with a handy USB plug such as on the samsung galaxy s .
I had my first taste of playing with Consult today and i'm peeved I never bothered to use it before. The thought crossed my mind that it would be wicked to have this hooked up via a smart phone. A quick ebay search reveals this:

Anyone had any experience with this? 85 is on the expensive side for cables but it is a direct USB arrangement.
This is for my 26 .
Yeah Duncan's thread has given me inspiration, for 40 dollars it's really value for piece of mind , far better than suck it and see and lunch the thing.
I'm keen to get a sample of my engine oil tested by an oil analysis company. Something like this - http://www.oilcheck.com.au/pricing/oil-analysis-price-list.html. I used some thin (5/30) oil for a track day and thinned it out a bit further than I ever have before, just wanted to get some piece of mind .
Just interested to know if anyone else uses these services in Melbourne and if so who do you go to and why?
all oem coil packs are that cheap now from US? feck! That probably makes it the most cost effective performance upgrade for R33 or earlier Turbo Nissans!
33 GT-R rims going on soon.. really like the look and they have proper offset .
Oh and I bought another 4-door , Sally. Here is a teaser.
Sally is lined up for an RB25de+t conversion.
The reason major companies wont use HyChill, is because it's just a mix of propane and butane.. which is quite obviously not patentable and hence and jo blo can mix it and sell it and not charge ridiculous amounts of money that the old CFC based refrigerants were. If you have the old gas (R22) then HyChill is perfectly safe, with the newer gases you need to flush the whole system (cause that shit is big time toxic) which can be cost prohibitive (and that's another whole conspiracy can of beans )
335i is droooool.
But i'd also they 370z is underated because it's constantly compared with other cars stock for stock. The VQ37HR is an amazing engine with the same tech as the 335i's valvetronic and of course the modifiers scene is ace . Half the reason why nissan has so much trouble selling it's top line cars here.
Ya I had oil issues too, still running winter weight oil. Not a good idea..
And I managed to overheat/overfill powersteering and damn near set my car on fire .
Still as grant points out.. could be worse.
Can't wait to see my times either, really stoked with all my runs!
Lol settle petals. Yup gts-t have the same power as your WRX but with only two wheels being driven. Obviously all things equal this means off the line the gts-t is slower or more likely to lose grip.
