  1. Wait wait wait.. imports only.. but there is an aussie R31 there lol. Seems odd you didn't want girls with cars such as 135i's along. Anyway.. decent turn out, maybe my partner will come to the next one *shrug*.
  2. put it on a dyno and tell us.
  3. Tyres of different build dates have been known to cause problems with atessa. It is _VERY_ fussy. Same wheel width and same tyres at the same pressure and wear as much as possible to avoid problems.. Been there done that.
  4. Beth and Myself for a double room if possible ^_^. Thanks Bec
  5. I'm.. err .. bringing the rb26 gts-4 . Geez i'd love to leave it as gts-t though mind you .
  6. I think it's more a case that skylines are loud and we pay for our fines .
  7. Fail.. waits till monday to use acrobat
  8. How does one fill in the form. Sorry to sound daft put acrobat doesn't want to play .
  9. that will get the nut off yes (that's how I did it).. but then you need to get the pully off Sometimes it just about falls off.. othertimes.. you need a puller.
  10. OK. So having bought my fair share of skylines, silvias and other bits and pieces I have now met my match with this one. My Mother's car got written off in hail storm and I put my hand up to help her look at cars. God I didn't realise how drab new cars get after you look at 20 of the things . Mum doesn't like access in low cars or cars with buckets - rules out most cars I like. Wants something with enough space to do the shopping, preferably with enough seating in the back to get 6'4" son in the back. HAS TO BE A NICE BLUE. 25G to spend We've looked at most of the new cars on offer and really only the jazz seems to be interesting (although we haven't been to ford yet and we haven't test driven any of the mazdas). Going down the 2nd hand path the Mark V golf was an excellent drive and definately a good candidate. I was thinking a WRX could be interesting, perhaps an is200 or even Mx5? I'm starting to understand why people just go and buy these things rather than give them a lot of thought. It's just depressing how many options there are and how little difference there seems to be between a lot of them. I like shopping for performance cars it's easier to get passionate and excited about buying these . Anybody else going through this lately?
  11. *puts hands up* pick me pick me
  12. Interfere isn't the right word.. it's an integral part of your automatic transmission. It makes a lot more sense to tune with it running.
  13. All RBs look the same.. shouldn't be too hard IMO.
  14. I got a call to work tomorrow so I wont be there. But anyone keen should aim for 10am imo .
  15. Not sure which state you've been living in, but as recently as yesterday I heard talk of banning smoking out doors. How is this not 'a crackdown'? I have been in cars that are without question.. louder than 85dB at 2500rpm inside the cabin. Further more these cars still retained all the factory sound deadening. Do the maths. Do you realise how not loud 85dB is? Now if they are just targeting anything that 'looks' loud then i'm all for getting angry on top of my soap box and abusing the powers that be for money grabbing. But ... no one in this thread has even done that? If they are taking all those f-ing annoying harleys that prevent you from having a conversation as they pass to task.. Hey, i'm not complaining. Last time I tested my car was 82dB at 2500rpm and made 245 rwkw. Good enough for me. I should also point out.. I work as an O H + S consultant. I deal with stupid legislation on a daily basis.
  16. Tomei... droolz.
  17. Wanzi lol.
  18. Not sure I can make it clearer.. If you spend a substantial amount of time near something noisy you will lose hearing. If you drive your car a lot and it makes more than 85db of noise inside the cabin you will be losing your hearing. In work places companies _have_ been prosecuted large ($100000 plus fines) for putting employees in situations where they exceed noise thresholds. Personally can't stand going for a drive in someones car that drones constantly. Obviously a track car is different.
  19. Well weather looks terrible.. I'll update with a new date
  20. For those asking about health risks. I'm guessing they are talking about droning exhausts doing permanent damage to your hearing. Can look up the standards on noise but here is a short summary:
  21. Yup this is exactly what I was referring to.
  22. Picked it cause it's the day i'm going up . Yes it's a day of rest.. except when monday is a public holiday right? Don't be weak sauce imo. Anyways don't stress in any case.. i'll Probably keep posting dates and times to come along until I get the message, that i'm too slow, too ugly or that no one likes me .
