300 bucks? Very cheap. many possibilities to build it up, or alternatively just leave it stock and enjoy . Why are you worried about the gearbox? It is dieing or you just don't like autos?

Well ok has it been doing this since you bought the car? Have you checked the fluid levels on the clutch master? With no futher information it is either the clutch or the hydraulic system. Not sure I can be of any more help.. take it to a workshop?

Ya you may not realize that the heater will stay on even if the control is turned off. +1 Ash.. Even if the turbo was glowing white hot I doubt you would be able to feel anything inside the car - Firewall...

I've filled up from a BP with ultimate.. and had the car cough and splutter and start running on 5 cylinders within 10 minutes. As soon as fuel was flushed and injectors cleaned, sparks replaced, back to running smoothly. Accident or not BP was not interested in investigating it and I was stuck in tassy.

I use capital autoglass got some cards floating around here, i'll post up a number if I remember at home. He can supply windscreens with aerials and he mentioned a number around 450 but i'm not certain whether that is just glass or plus labor etc etc. It is nice to retain the antenna I agree .

Give Trent (checkered tuning) or Sam (dr drift) a call and discuss the finer points with them. AFAIK they will happily tune either and will know the specifics for your car that may push you toward one option or the other.

5-6G seems reasonable. Depends entirely on the condition of the car the luck in finding someone wanting a cefiro for the quality of the car. All in all if you want to sell it.. i'd probably start at 7?

Why bother, new wind screen is between 150 and 300 dollars :S. Good idea to replace them anyway but especially after a chip.

Nistune = board soldered stock ECU to allow software to reprogram it. Adv - Cheap (around 200 dollars to do), easy, legal (it isn't legal but i'm not sure how any cop could ever tell it had been done easily), retain all factory engine safety and cold start functions.

Can I ask why you want that car? I wont be giving out details unless they say it's ok . My parents had a 240k which looks like a skyline C110 to me in the photos.. this is the car i'm tracking down.. but a C210 would be awesome too.

I've been working hard on restoring a KE30 which I was given . As this project is starting to wind up.. a complete RB25 has wound up in my possession. A have had a very strong desire to own a classic skyline and now i'm starting to look around a little bit. Had a look at a C210 240K on the weekend but the rear end damage put me off. The car was brought to my attention because a friend knew of it. How do I go about finding these things other than just word of mouth? .

It is slipping. There are a couple of things it could be. You mention a 'new one', are you refering to having already had to replace the clutch? If you haven't replaced the clutch then it's either the clutch assembly or the hydraulic system which operates the clutch assembly. I replaced my clutch only to learn it was the hydraulic system at fault, an expensive exercise. More details about the car would help.

From what I understand, R33 head and R34 head are the same between DE and DET, R32 head is different (as indicated in FAST). But I have also read that they have different port sizes *puzzled*. I have an R34 de and an RB20det, I am under the impression you can make one engine out of these .

Out of interest, has anyone seen an RB20det-r sold? What was it worth?
